This is the last batch from the Once Upon a Mystery Box I split with my friend Heather from I’m in a Zen Garden State of Mind. I had two packages left, and since one of them was a box, I let myself hope that maybe we’d get one item that wasn’t cheap clothing.

Nope. Both were very low quality shorts. At this point, I think it’s safe to say this box was pretty disappointing. Cute fairy‑tale branding, great presentation, but the contents were all Franklin, NJ return items. If you love mystery clothing hauls, maybe it’s your thing, but for us, this one was a miss.

Luckily, I’ve got a large Bup Boxes haul coming up that I’ll be opening with my mom and Fernando and I’ve got a box of 100 small packages from Fun Delivered on the way. I cannot wait to dig into that one!

Unclaimed Mail from Bup Boxes- Power Washer & Golden Dishes

For this batch of unclaimed mail from Bup Boxes, Fernando went straight for the two heaviest packages he could find, and this round turned out to be way more exciting than the smaller items my mom opened.

The first item wasn’t even in a box, which usually means overstock, and this time that worked in our favor. It was a power washer. I was planning to buy one, so this was a massive win. Now I can put Spencer to work outside.

Next, Fernando opened a huge box filled with what had to be 200 golden plates and forks. My guess is that someone ordered them for a wedding. Luckily, the billing office throws parties every month, so these are going straight to work where they’ll get plenty of use.

Fun Delivered — Cartier Love Ring !!!

We finally cracked open the Fun Delivered box with 100 tiny packages, and my mom was thrilled with all the tiny packages.

We started off slow with something that looked like giant bullets… or maybe weights. After a little research, we figured out they’re actually car parts. Next up was a pretty silver‑tone bracelet.

And then she opened a tiny plastic bag and pulled out what appears to be a Cartier Love Ring. If it’s real, it could be worth upward of $4,000. I’m not overly confident, considering it arrived in a little zip bag instead of a velvet box, but hey, stranger things have happened in the unclaimed‑mail world.

Eventually we’ll take it to a pawn shop or a jeweler to find out for sure. For now, it’s fun to dream.

We’re back with a brand‑new Bup Boxes haul, and this time it’s one of their large boxes. The small box I split with Heather had the same number of packages, but the bigger boxes always come with bigger items. My mom dove in first and grabbed a few of the smaller packages to warm us up

First she got little pink plastic toppers with skulls. We had no idea what these were at first, but after a quick Google Lens search, we found out they’re Beyblade pieces.

Next she got a light blue clothing set I think is pajamas, but the quality wasn’t great. Definitely one of those “return‑center specials. Finally, she opened a Wallen T‑shirt. Not our style at all, but it’s well‑made. Someone out there would love it, just not us.

Mom handled the warm‑up round like a champ, but the real excitement is coming when Fernando digs into some of the larger packages.

I picked up another $10 mystery box from my local Michael’s, and while this one wasn’t quite as much fun as the first, it was still a good haul.

The big item was a picnic blanket, and it had a $50 price tag on it, so right there, the box already paid for itself five times over. Along with that, I pulled out some banana plates, and a whole bunch of moss and silk flowers, and cheese markers. Most of the flowers I'll pass them along to my crafty coworkers who make their own wreaths and floral décor. They’re going to love these.

First up, she opened a heavy chain/rope. At first we thought it was for rock climbing, but then Fernando told us it was a lift.

Next she pulled out a men’s watch. It’s just an Amazon version, but its wearable.

Finally, she opened a mystery bag filled with those mop‑style dusters you strap to your fee, plus a dog sweater. I tried so hard to convince her to clean the floor with her feet, but she wasn’t having it. Maybe next time.

Weeping Bones Review

I stumbled across a clip of Weeping Bones on TikTok, and the premise grabbed me enough that I had to look it up. It’s movie‑length, but only available on YouTube and the GoodShort App, and even though its low budget, I'm glad I watched it.

The story centers on Bella, a girl brutally murdered by a man seeking revenge against her detective father and coroner mother. Bella’s ghost watches helplessly as her parents investigate the case, unaware that the victim is their own daughter. As the story unfolds, you also see the complicated family dynamics: the sister who bullied her, the parents who never fully believed her, and the tension created when Bella was reunited with them at sixteen after being kidnapped as a child. They had already adopted another daughter, so her return wasn’t the fairy‑tale homecoming she deserved. I won’t spoil anything beyond that because despite its flaws, this story deserves to be experienced.

Now, let me be honest: The acting is mediocre, the plot has holes, and many scenes are unrealistic. As someone who writes murder mysteries myself, some things were glaring. A real detective would’ve recognized his own daughter. They delay blood tests. They don’t want to file a missing‑person report. And they never explain who kidnapped Bella years earlier.

But here’s the thing...none of that stopped me from bawling my eyes out through half the show. Watching Bella’s ghost hear her family dismiss her, even in death, hit me harder than I expected. And when the truth finally comes out, it’s genuinely emotional. The core story is powerful, and if you have an imagination, you can see past the low budget and appreciate the depth of what they were trying to do.

Overall, I’d give Weeping Bones four stars. The concept has so much potential, and I’d love to see it expanded into a full series with more backstory and stronger writing.
