We all know there is only one fundamental truth in the real world, only one reality that is sufficient unto itself…and it is NOT Wall Street!

It is the realm of “IS,” as it is, as the Sacred Public Realm of the Natural Order of Things according the World Democratic Position as made conscious and articulate in the world by the U.S. Constitution.

So, what in the Sam Hill does Wall Street think it is actually accomplishing with its ultra-inflationary QE1here, QE2 there and QE3 wherever model for organizing the economic life of our country?

To shed light on the conundrum, this dispatch, which would raise the hackles of a tree sloth, just arrived from our intergalactic scout, Seth Ampiano, whose mission is to meet and greet our many NAE friends throughout the universe.

Recently, Seth spoke with Gluxcor, chief Mountain Person of the Messier 82 Galaxy in the Constellation Ursa Major.

Seth reports that being non-violent by nature, yet possessed of a somewhat perverse turn of mind occasionally, Gluxcor, who has spent eons studying the Earth, was thinking the other day about how he would go about destroying everything that makes being an American worthwhile if he were the enemy within.

For what it’s worth, here is a brief summery of what Gluxcor said

First, in your top colleges and universities you enshrine personal mediocrity by means of a pernicious regime of grade inflation while marginalizing a rigorous Liberal Arts curriculum overall that trains students to recognize the critical distinctions they must make between a self-destructive self-interest and an enlightened self-interest if they ever intend to live a life that is truly worthwhile,

Second, driven by greed, deceit, half-truths, false theories and a visceral contempt for people who do not share your drive you replace excellence and the Liberal Arts with a dull-normal, unnatural, nihilistic, free-market corporatist insurgency for self-serving, exclusionary profit at the expense of everybody, and everything, else, especially everything that makes being an American worthwhile, which is the American Creed of Democratic Freedom with Equal Justice for all under the Rule of Law.

Third, you enroll your country’s wealthiest Eurocentric young people, who also happen to be your country’s most obtuse young people, in your top business schools,

Fourth, you plant in these credulous little WASP-ish heads visions of mind-boggling elitist power, profit and privilege to be had for serving your insurgency,

Fifth, you teach these students that in certain instances they can commit free market genocide with impunity because as members of your insurgency they know best,

Sixth, you then broadly empower these self-indulgent, sociopathic misfits everywhere within, or in service to, your insurgency,

Seventh, in part you use your insurgency’s members to either marginalize or suspend the natural process of democratic discourse in good faith in the media and Congress,

Eighth, you then fill the artificial vacuum you have created (manage the drift you have caused) with more of your insurgency’s greed, deceit, half-truths, false theories and visceral contempt for others,

Ninth, you use this advantage to successfully infiltrate, and eventually enervate, the entire democratic infrastructure of all of your country’s economic, political, religious, judicial, military and media institutions,

Tenth, sapped of their natural integrity and vitality as one democratic institution after another gives up the ghost you proudly rule over all things in the name of your unnatural, dull-normal, nihilistic, free-market corporatist insurgency at the expense of everything that makes being an American truly worthwhile.

In conclusion, Gluxcor advocates for the efficacy of his formula by pointing out that  as every second-rate Eurocentric elitist and arriviste knows it has been the font of all of the really big money and truly great career opportunities, in both business and politics alike, starting with the Vietnam War some 50 years ago.

Vietnam - The Insurgency Abroad

Finally, from all indications, Gluxcor apparently believes that with a few periodic tweaks here and there a ten-part formula such as this cannot possibly fail

To emphasize that point he goes on to cite a few instances in which those tweaks may have already occurred.

For example, President Eisenhower alerted us to the totalitarian danger inherent in such a  god-awful process, but nobody was encouraged to listen. He died of natural causes.

President Kennedy courageously confronted the same danger head-on as well, and people started to listen. He was assassinated!

Bobby Kennedy sought to carry on his brother’s work, and more people listened. He too was assassinated!

Martin told us the truth about how the process corrupts and imperils us all as Americans. He was assassinated!

Malcolm weighed in to enlighten us all for our own good as well. He was assassinated!

God help us all.

I hope that we are not next.

Anyway, Seth’s work will still go on.

As far as I know, they do not know how to get to him…yet!

So, if worse comes to worse, he will just find another like-minded soul to send his dispatches to.

The New American President, Yet Again

Like any loyal, church-going member of the American Master Race I recognize that from time to time the President of the United States must rid the free market of recalcitrant consumers by exterminating a few innocent and impoverished men, women and children so that the rest of us who really understand how to love, enjoy and appreciate life can get ahead in the world unimpeded.

I, for one, though, would do it somewhat differently.

For me it would be a matter of personal honor.

If it not, I would never be able to look my grandchildren in the eye ever again, much less survive the sight of myself in the mirror every morning.

For those reasons, then, I would never resort to a self-serving hissy-fit of lying to the world through my teeth so that I could invade and occupy a couple of defenseless, non-belligerent countries unopposed just for the hell of it, be that my own mean-spirited greed, ignorance and stupidity, my hatred of impoverished innocents of all ages or my natural love of power, privilege, carnage and corporate contracts.

Here is the thing. Self-serving hissy-fits are undignified, lying is wrong and sometimes doing things just for the hell of it can be down right disgraceful, all of which tends to destroy me by diminishing my credibility in the world as an honorable person.

I learned all that in second grade.

Anyway, think about it!

Where is the honor in ordering somebody else to exterminate people who I do not, or would not, personally exterminate myself, or in assigning  the task to some cowardly drone operator thousands of miles from the scene who does not want to get his/her hands dirty either?

I shudder to contemplate it.

No, if it were up to me I would just do the honorable thing and go wherever I needed to go and do the deed up close and personally, face-to-face, maybe with fragmentation grenades and an assault rifle, or something.

As I understand it you can buy these handy items every easily just a few blocks from the White House, and, of course, you could just bill the U. S. Treasury.

More to the point, perhaps, is this.

These days, as the Imperial President of an American Master Race it is never difficult to do the honorable thing. Under our system of government today, provided that it is done in the name of the people, you can suspend the Constitution with all of its off-putting checks, balances and the Rule of Law so that you can do the honorable thing whenever you choose.

Who will stop you?

The American people?

Not likely!

No realistic self-respect or durable affection for the Constitution there, to say nothing of a viable sense of personal honor as Americans.

Truly, it is good to be an Imperial President.

For me, personal honor is always the way to go for another reason as well.

I don’t know why, but somehow being honorable helps me build my authority around the world, and in my experience the more authority I have the less the world wants to get in my face, which is the way I like it.

Finally, I would never personally exterminate anyone just for corporate profit alone. Why should corporations have all the fun?

...So That The Worthy May Prosper

No, most assuredly, I would do the deed personally up close so that I could experience for myself the exhilarating release that can only come from watching terrified, disobedient consumers dashing about from one impoverished hovel to the next in a desperate search for cover, hearing the pathetic cries and screams of faceless, or disemboweled and otherwise mutilated, little children, smelling the sweet, pungent aroma of cordite and burning flesh and actually tasting the blood of my victims.

As far as I am concerned, that would be the most thrilling part of the whole exercise, the actual tasting of the innocent blood I personally shed.

Having done that how could I then not be overwhelmed by the awe-inspiring assurance that I, single-handedly as the leader of the free world’s Master Race, was an integral part of something truly good, decent and honorable to once again make the world a better and safer place, not just for the American consumer, but for all consumers just like us the world over who actually understand what it really means to truly love, enjoy and appreciate their life?

What a hoot that would be!

Which reminded me of last month’s Richard Mourdock rape flap.

That made me wonder, yet again, about the frantic Christian evangelizing that has been all the rage in America for the last 30 years or so.

And so I began to focus on something that apparently nobody even considered about the Mourdock affair.

Richard Mourdock, Apostle of “To consent is human, to rape Divine.”

It seems to me that as a good Christian literalist, Richard Mourdock was absolutely right last month..

as a good Christian literalist he must believe in and condone rape.

As I understand it that is how his Savior came into the world.

Moreover, it then follows that in his heart of hearts Mr. Mourdock must also oppose all worldly laws that would in any way criminalize rape.

I know it sounds crazy, but after all is not the rapist merely following in the footsteps of his Divine Father?

Finally, as a God-fearing Christian Mr. Mourdock has no alternative but to also hold that by definition the offspring of rape are Divine.

The reason, of course, is because that is what his Savior is.

Of course, the offspring of rape are no less deserving of the world’s loving care than any other kind of offspring. But, I, for one, don’t see how that  has got anything to do with “the will of God,” whatever that is.

So, I came to the following conclusion.

If only evidenced by the religious beliefs of people like Richard Mourdock, Biblical literalism cannot possibly possess the content of a legitimate religion?

Anyway, for the life of me I simply cannot imagine how the preferred Christian identification with rape, be it Sacred or Profane, makes Democratic Freedom with Equal Justice for all under the Rule of Law as God’s truth in the real world according to God’s World Democratic Position as provided for in the U. S. Constitution a more conscious and articulate presence in the world!

For that reason alone, I would think that serious Christians would be eager to start the process of revising their religious story so that it reflects more accurately God’s truth in the real world.

But that’s just me.

My impression was that Paul Ryan is much too fond of partisan cheap shots to have any credibility.

The Vice-President even sounded like a Democrat, which was a treat coming from a Democrat.

He was genuinely passionate about the well-being of ordinary people and stuck to the facts.

However, I think he could have done better by reminding people why our Republican supply-side economy of the last thirty years has been such a disaster for ordinary Americans – It’s not natural…nothing in nature is unregulated, there is no such thing as a “free” market as such and “privatization” means “keep it away from the people!”

I shudder to think that in our high-level dealings with foreign leaders Mitt Romney might become the best that we have to offer.

Yet, I still don’t know what confounds me more.

Jim Lehrer just sitting there like a hapless, mumbling nerd suddenly confronted by the familiar semi-hysterical neighborhood bully, or…

Mr. Obama just standing there with eyes downcast like some inexperienced mortuary assistant who has just finished embalming a corpse that nobody wants to claim, probably that of the Democratic Party, agonizingly asking himself, “now what do I do – bury it or cremate it?”

It is all so simple..

You are a grown-up adult.

You become the moment, the here and now.

You are alert, aware of everything going on around you and not a little elated by the perversity of it all.

You care. You demand love and respect in all things.

You are an American. You stand for democratic freedom and equal justice for all under the rule of law.

You are not afraid.

You are free.

So, you state the obvious.

“Mr. Romney, you are a guest here. You are not in charge of this debate. If you can’t be polite and concise in the time allotted, then you really have nothing to say that we need to hear.”

BINGO!

Depending on who you are you have either assured your place alongside Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite as one of the most important and influential newsmen of your time.

Moral: Demonstrate that as an individual you will NEVER settle for anything less than acting like a grown-up adult American and people will follow you anywhere.

But it was not to be.

Maybe it will be different later tonight with Biden and Ryan.

The problem is the Yankees play tonight, and frankly I would rather be inspired by people like Jeter and Ibanez doing what they ordinarily do best, which is hit a baseball,  than insulted by the likes of Biden and Ryan doing what they ordinarily do best, which is bore people half to death with their childish squabbling.

Nevertheless, as a grown-up adult American I’ll give them a look-see in the spirit of democratic forbearance.

I sure hope they don’t intend to bore me.

Not only does it have an internal scapegoating option by which to impose the religious dogmas it favors on the world, it can also, on occasion, choose to suspend its scapegoating option and create things of great simplicity, wisdom and beauty.

One of our favorite examples of the second alternative is Psalm 24:1:

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

All in All, and All As All, in and as The One

In the last post, we reminded Rick Santorum and his ilk that the natural environment must be honored, preserved, protected and defended as such because it is of the spirit, not matter as such, and we promised to reveal how the material world actually works as the spirit.

Not surprisingly, the entire process has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with human religious scapegoating, which, as it turns out, comes some 13.7 billion years after the fact.

So, taking our lead from Psalm 24:1, and based on what we can all readily know about “IS,” as it is, here it is as we see it in The New Alliance Economy, The Truth of how the material world actually works as the spirit.

The way the material world works as spirit is according to the indeterminate and spontaneous meetings-relationships between all that is in mutual, interdependent freedom as determined by the selfless and unconditional love of the source of all being, aka God, for the life-affirming well-being of others in the here and now as the All in All and All as All in and as itself, God, The One.

That’s it! Like the Torah says, “everything else is commentary” – or religious scapegoating, perhaps – when it comes to The Truth of the world.

Live life in accordance with The Truth and you get to enjoy the boundless happiness, peace of mind and prosperity that come with being a co-creator of the world with God.

Choose not to live life in accordance with The Truth and everything you think, feel, believe and do will most likely turn to shit!

Such is the way of God’s world as ordained by God.
