Dr. Vaseegaran dedicates his ten years of his entire life in accomplishing his dream project, which is creating Chitti. So, he never cares or concentrates on his personnel life and so he looses some valuable and precious moments.

Sana (Aishwarya Rai) is a medical student, who enters into the life of Dr. Vaseegaran. She is his fiancé, but is not amused with his work or his care towards her. They quarrel all the time and then kiss and make up. Sana always has a complaint, that Vasee is not at interested in her.

Dr. Vaseegaran’s aim is to make chitti join the Indian army and serve the nation, as a replacement for a human being. He wants to create a machine, which can avoid humans involving in war and sacrificing their lives.

Endhiran Updates

ENDHIRAN was the movie which began on February 15^th, 2008 in Chennai and a portfolio was clicked with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya in different costumes. Shanker and Cinematographer Ratnavelu went to a world tour which covered Peru, Vienna in Austria, and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil plus Hanoi in Vietnam.

On September 8^th, 2008 the films first schedule took place at Peru where few scenes and a song 5 minute length song was picturised on Rajini and Aishwarya Rai. Raju Sundaram choreographed this movie and the location of Machu Piccchu was on the background.

Few scenes which included one action scenes were filmed in United States and Brazil.

The whole crew flew back to Goa, India and talkie part was completed which was 11 days in length.

The third schedule was held at Himachal Pradesh and then around Chennai.

SSN College on engineering which is based in Vellore was selected as the next location. Around 410 students were asked to act as extras and scenes involving Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Santhanam and Karunas were filmed on camera.

Pilche- starts with the Hindi wordings and the songs looks situational and is shot exclusively on the sets with Rajasthan background. Has good scope for displaying dancing skills and looks similar to that of ‘Athadu’ music.

Sunday Monday- this song has some comic touch in its lyrics and is a duet genre. As usual this song also supports tunes with display of dancing skills.

Taxi- Taxi is a song with some sarcastic lyrics and the song has good scope for dancing as well. The tunes are similar to that of ‘Pokiri’ in some senses.

Media hype is pumping more enthusiasm into the high budget Tamil movie ‘Endhiran’ which was hyped to have collected Rs 100 crores in the opening weekend

and is sure to collect Rs 450 crores, which is only the prediction of the producers and not the actual cinema trade analysts.

Due to the lack of organized reporting, Endhiran/Enthiran is said to be getting all fake record collections. But here is the actual truth regarding the collections. The movie is going strongly in Tamilnadu and is reported to have collected Rs 73 cr- Rs 75 cr world wide so far, which is the actual collection estimate. The actual trade estimates speak out that, Endhiran/ Enthiran is churning out Rs 1.7 lakhs per day from the different centers and that amounts to Rs 8-9 crores per day. The other languages collections are disappointing as the Andhra Pradesh collections of Robot are said to be overall Rs 12- Rs 14 crores which is against Rs 27 crores investment. So, presently there is a loss. The Karnataka and Kerala collections are so far Rs 5-6 crores and the Mumbai and Delhi reports of collections are said to be Rs 12 cr to Rs 16 crores.Coming to the overseas record collections the USA and UK reports are as follows.

United States of America- Enthiran/Endhiran – Rs 6.81 crores so far; Robot (telugu)- Rs 2.16 crore and Robot (Hindi)- Rs 73.58 lacs.

United Kingdom- Endhiran/Enthiran- Rs 1.96 crores and Robot Hindi is Rs 43.17 lacs.

So, the actual collection estimate are estimated to be in the range of Rs 70 crores to Rs 75 crores and not Rs 100 cr as claimed by the makers of ‘Endhiran/Enthiran’.

There were also a lot of speculations about the heroine of the film but now it has finally been confirmed that the role of Kareena Kapoor will be played by none other than Ileana. There were many actresses vying for that role, but it was Ileana who struck gold.

She was supposed to start opposite Vikram in his movie titled 2 but the project was eventually dropped. Director Shankar had a lot to think about before casting the perfect substitute for Kareena Kapoor. The role essayed by Kareena was a really memorable role and the director wanted to do full justice to the role. After a lot of deliberation, the director decided to cast Ileana for the role.
