The Ongies would like to wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year to everyone.

21 Jan (Saturday)

Before Chinese New Year, The Ongies decided to head down to Chinatown and take a stroll and view the goodies. This is the first time Clar is joining them, so hubby by hook or by crook will definitely bring them there and walk.

In order to prevent the congested human traffic, they went around noon time instead of evening. At least it is 30% less pack.

The sun is pretty good, not as hot and stuffy as they thought.

It had been a long time since they walked here. Although the items are more or less the same for every CNY, but the important thing will be the - mood.

There are quite a number of people on street even though the sun is hot. but that did not stop them from shopping at all!

Chinese New Year - Dragon Year (23rd Jan - Monday)

It is the brand new year for all Chinese this year, and a big one! Because of this is the year of dragon!

On this day, the Ongies decided to get up early in the morning, and prepare to head out for praying first. This had been going on for 3 years. They found that it is much efficient. At least, they can go home after that and get themselves clean up before going visiting.

From the first year till date, the timing had been dragged from 6.45am till 8am. Partly everyone was so shag out the day before and it is pretty hard to wake the two kids up.

It is starting to get crowded. But still relatively ok at that time.

So they went home after praying at three temples.

This year, this house is getting crowded and noisier - more kids!

The attention are not on adults but the kids. Clar seem to get a lot of attention, even her cousin seem to dote her a lot!

Cait and Clar knew that they were outside and there are just too many people around; they will not sleep at all!

So, when they reached home, both of them put up white flag and dive into the dreamland since 5pm. But, Cait woke up at 7pm to eat, and finally gave in at 9pm again.

It seem so peaceful when they are sleeping. A lot quieter which they have not hear or feel for years. Now, they must train Cait and Clar to sleep by 9pm daily. So everyone are able to do their things efficiently - be it housework or work.

Cait fixing for Clar. She does know where the catch is!

2 days ago, Clar was sleeping soundly on hubby and wifey's bed until a loud thud sound was heard by mom and hubby. In a few seconds, loud cry was heard.

Clar had just falled down from the bed, right onto the floor tiles.

She had bleeding on top and bottom lip. Just in time, they applied sugar on the affected wounded and it seem to recover faster. Mom had left Clar for just 1min when that happen.

Now everyone is worry about putting her on bed to sleep, despite having the pillows to block her way. It is little known how she fallen down. Perhaps crawling and attempt to get down.

After the fall, she had it again when trying on wifey clothing. First, she lost her balance and almost fall backwards until she managed to pull herself up. Unfortunately. she had her head knock against the cabinet door when she lost her second balance. There she go..

Just earlier, perhaps Clar is trying to grab the wet tissue packet from Cait vigorously. And Cait snatched it back which result a cut on Clar face. Painful, huh.

Ain't her week tho.

It is not easy to bring the kids out alone, especially when there's no third help. The Ongies had been trained to bring them around the place, and they believe they can do it well.

It can be a nightmare; if they do not listen. But after all, putting lots of patience is a must.

So, on weekend, they planned to bring the kids out to a baby shower party. From leaving the house till end of the day, it is quite smooth without a lot of hiccups. But, bear in mind that the set off timing will usually delay.

Cait and Clar were pretty quiet initially until they got warmed up. Clar would like to follow where her sister go to. But Cait really have to learn how to share the items with others; if not get her to play on her own., this is to prevent fight and biting. But it take times for Cait and Clar to share things together.

Saturday - The Weekend

It is not easy to let the two monsters fall asleep, especially on Saturday. Recently, Cait had been very active during Saturday, and it is hard to make her fall sleep no matter what. End up, hubby always gotten scolded by his mom about this.

But on this very day, both the girls are dead beat, hence the best result of all!

The 'ME' time just started for 2hrs max.

Sunday - The Weekend

They bring forward the reunion dinner this year again. This is to prevent the tight time schedule for both families. Mom would prefer to relax than making herself so stressed up on Chinese New Year Eve.

In the past, they would have steamboat session either on CNYE or 1 week before it. Having the charcoal type of steamboat is even fun than the electrical . Imagine, half a time everyone is looking at the fire burning than eating; the smell of it is nice too. It is a pity that Cait and Clar will not have a chance to have that.

But, no matter what, hubby and wifey will still prefer to have the mini steamboat session on the CNY eve itself. It is just like a tradition for them. Luckily wifey buy that idea too.

Both hubby and wifey were very proud of Cait because she sat down quietly throughout the whole dinner. The only culprit that make a lot of noise : Clar.

Cait had been eating a lot recently, and she did not disturb as like before. That make wifey doting her most. The only part that wifey cannot get to enjoy is during the crab par, because Cait wanted to be carried.

While Cait was sitting quietly, her grandma stood up and wanted to carry Clar away; that is instigating Cait the idea of being carried. Hubby had told mom a lot of time that, when the kids are sitting down quietly and not making a lot of fuss, try not to do these unless inviting for trouble; which is true.

So, end up all the kids wanted to be carried!

Cait is getting more and more disciplined by hubby; wifey putting a lot of patience to guide her through. They hoping not to get Cait out of track; finger cross on that.

Fall down and a cut

Wifey received a call from school at 4pm yesterday; Cait fallen down while trying to climb on the blocks in school.

She received a slight cut on her knee. Being a brave girl, she did not cried at all. Instead, she told teacher Azizah about the pain and they found out the cut and quickly clean the wound.

No one can be blame at this situation. Cait is just being very naughty and way too adventurous. Usually she does not stick to the class group and like to wander off alone around the class compound. Of course, teachers will be taking extra note on her

The only time Cait will sit in with the class together, will be her favourite subject.

At that moment of time, one of the teacher went to toilet while the second teacher is taking care of the group. When Cait fell down, the second teacher failed to grab hold of her immediately, therefore she fall on the ground and gotten the cut from the wooden blocks. (Hubby and wifey will be asking the teacher today again because they had left when wifey reached the school)

Cait still can run and walk quickly! As if nothing happens to her at all, but she did feel the pain during bathing time. Imagine, she is just a 2 years going to 3, had a cut and did not cry at all. Perhaps she know she is in trouble? But when anyone touches her things without her permission or things that she cannot get, she will start crying non stop... Yes... this is how hilarious tho.

It seem like Cait energy is almost the same as hubby and wifey. Sleep late, wake up early. Her sleeping time had pushed back from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, then 10pm.. ; yesterday she slept at 11pm and woke up at 6.15am.

Let's hope she will doze off quickly tonight. If not, it will be hard for them to do some household chores.

Hubby was dead beat yesterday, suffering from serious backache problem. Perhaps the long period of bend down to carry and moving of things, and bathing Cait. They hope Cait can resumed back to her 9pm sleeping time.

One of the most headache about her: she like to go into hubby and wifey room to sleep when Clar is there already sleeping. After 30min, she wanted to move back to grandmother room! Again, Clar is there and yesterday, hubby and his mom persuaded Cait to sleep in her grand ma room when she wanted to go back to hubby and wifey room!

By the time she is asleep, it is 11pm. She always like to watch the youtube play over and over until she is bored! When she started to lie down, it is about the time she felt sleepy and dozed off... but hubby was the first to doze off last night. So, he woke up and quickly play few more times until the sleeping monster attacked her.

Clar began to start standing and it seem like she can stand pretty firmly! The next step for her - walking.

But, it will be the day that everyone will be extremely tired, because she will be curious; might be climbing everywhere. Hubby wonders if she will behave like Cait!

Cait is so daring, who ain't afraid of anything when she is young. Now, as she started to understand things around her, she will have some reserve although she still wanted to join in the fun too.

She is the type that they love and hate a lot. The moment she turn very mischevious, it is so hard to control her. Furthermore, she will insist on things that she want. The best she can do is to do a fake cry and whining. That should be the terrible two style.

It is hard to predict what she want. One moment she can be close to either of them; hubby, wifey, grand father and grand mother, the other moment, she can say that she do not want. That happened to hubby most of the times. When she mentioned that she do not want dad dad, and he still touch her or the things, she will whine non stop and dislike that things so much.

Irritating or not, there's no need to ask. Now, they can understand why some parents rather their kids to shout in public and not doing anything. They can go crazy with that! Mental tired!

Funny, while Cait really like to feed people, especially hubby. When he had been asked to open his mouth, he did; showing there's food in there. Then show again when he is done, Cait say:"Good Boy!"

The love and hate relationship is so funny. Hubby is going to take some ugly video of Cait; show it to her when she grow up!

Clar, being one of the sweet gal insisted on been carried all the way. She only choose wifey and mom, and not hubby and grand father. She is quite sticky to her grand mother because they see each other the most in a day. Now, having the helper left, hubby hopes that Clar will learn to be independent, so that mom can do things that she need to do.

In no times, Clar will be one year old. They have found the venue, and are finalising some details. It is going to be outdoor during evening time. A short and nice gathering for relatives. Joining Clar, will be Cait; celebrating her 3rd year old birthday!

The place will be pretty far from everywhere, so you require transportation into the area.

Unfortunately, the domestic helper who is helping The Ongies, decided to go back her hometown even though she still have 1 year contract left.

It was an accident that cannot be forgiven. To think that the helper can pour the Dynamo lotion into the Johnson & Johnson baby soap bottle without informing the rest of the family members. Wifey was helping Cait to bathe and uses that to wash her face until she found out that the smell and feeling is different.

She called for hubby to check what is going on; hence the helper had been question in the calm and light feeling. Apparently, judging from her eyes, hubby can see she is feeling unhappy. He mentioned that she is the only person who know what is contained in it, and not the others. Shouldn't she use something to draw or inform?

She did not, and said that no one will use that as she put it further away from the rest of the shampoo and body lotion bottles. Hubby did not flare up when explaining to her until wifey started saying her when Cait is done with bathing.

Wifey is unhappy that the helper did not apologise, thus hubby told the helper to do that because it is her fault.

Instead of apologizing, she swing her hand and said sorry sir and mdm with the tone that she felt so pissed off and think she is not in the wrong. Seeing that attitude, hubby began to tell her off for showing such an attitude.

Even after wifey scolding, the helper still remain in the daze with the unhappy look. When asked if she want to go back, she say yes. Hence, the packing of the stuff and sent her off the next day. She did not even want to think it through when she is in agency shop; it is confirm she want to go home.

On the new year of 2012, The Ongies become part of the helpers. There are so many things need to be done, so when the housework is done, the free time will be late night - where hubby and wifey can do their office work or some personal things.

It is very tiring, but family bonding seem to be stronger. It will take times for them to pick everything up. At least some exercising too.

A wonderful X'mas weekend at chalet

The Ongies would like to thanks their relatives who turned up during X'mas for BBQ session at Downtown East Chalet.

This time, it is purely an impromptu booking for a good relaxing weekend with the rest. The area may not seem big than Aranda, but it is good enough for all them to relax in the room. If you are looking for spacious area with the living room, this may not be a choice for you.

Luckily the BBQ pit is located right outside the room, which is very convenient for them. The unit they got is pretty far behind, which is beside the Theme park. So, there's only 4 BBQ pits in total. As compared to the front, nearest to the main entrance, there are so many BBQ pits cramping to each other. It seem like pasar malam when hubby walked past there.

It can be very smoky later in the evening.

The Ongies checked in the chalet at 1pm and gotten a door gifts - water dispenser and 2 bottles of Heaven and Earth green tea.

For the two girls, Cait and Clar, they have a lot of fun at the chalet too.

Clar is always smiley, while for Cait, she turned very shy when the rest of the relatives arrived. It took her nearly 30min to get warmth up, and that's the time hubby and wifey can take a break from her persistent on carrying.

But the only headache will be the two princess not willing to sleep! Clar only slept for a while, and she cannot rest well because of the noise and smoke all over. Hence, the choice is to go home at night.

Everyone agrees. It is really pretty cramp to stay there overnight, and also the two princess concern.

Glad that everyone enjoyed.

In fact , going home and rest is a better choice. At least comfortable; so to say.

They started BBQ as early at 3pm. Setting up and get everything works well. Sky is gloomy but at least it does not rain heavily at all; just a passing drizzling rain.

Withing the compound, they are the only one who got everything set up. So, it seem like they have the space of their own, but not for long.

Apart from uncooked food, they also brought in curry chicken, vegetable soup, pork meat, char siew and siew mai! That's such a wonderful meal. They end up BBQ the sotong, satay and otak only! They heat up the cooked food using the existing BBQ charcoal! Great idea, huh?

When Cait got herself warm up, she really wanted to play with Zi Ting. The early stage, she was either too shy or being very protective to hubby's item. She just do not allow Zi Ting to take her daddy's phone at all!

Nevertheless, when night fall, Cait is getting more and more tired and it is about time to go home soon. But, to ensure that the day end well, a log cake is a must for this special X'mas Day. Hence, they went out to purchase the cake at 15% off!

Weekends

Hubby finally fulfilled his wishes by bringing Cait and Clar out to Orchard Road last weekend, despite having heavy human traffic due to festive season. The main purpose is to bring them out and see the lights and get the atmosphere in Orchard road.

The only place they stayed put was at Takashimaya; the furthest and the only area they will want to go. Other than that, the whole street was so packed and nearly impossible to push the stroller on street.

Cait was amazed and feel quite happy upon seeing these. She might not be able to understand the festive season, but hubby is pretty sure she know something good is near the day!

It is better to carry the kids than pushing the stroller because of the accessibility. You might knock on people easily while pushing it, or may not able to pass through the area easily. That will make window shopping easier, but you might end up with muscle aching after a tough day in town!

Hubby would like to bring Cait out to town again, but it will be day time instead.

17th Dec Saturday

They brought Cait out to IMM yesterday because staying at home will either drive everyone go crazy or ultra tired by catching her. And the good thing about heading out, time spent faster! By the time they are home, it will be bathe and then bed time!

They caught up with the playground which Cait wanted to play - water playing area. Hubby and wifey gave in finally despite them not bringing extra clothing for her. But they only allow playing of water on legs.

After the water playing, they brought Cait into the cold tentage whereby there's an event going on - Ice Skating! A pity that the min age to skate is 6 years old, so Cait is out. Furthermore, this is a free trial!

After they done with the ice skating viewing, Cait went to the obstacle playground beside the waterplay, to have her own fun. This is the first time Cait enjoyed herself so much. She kept on playing, and her energy seem stronger and stronger. Guessed that the slide is her best friend.

She was having so much fun at the playground until it is getting late and dark. Hence, brought her in for dinner.

The only way to make her eat - Mac! That's her favorite and finally, she did finished the entire porridge given to her by hubby. Hubby seem getting good on taking care of them!

School Trip #2 - Kids Explorer

This time, the second outing with the school is to Explorer Kids, AMK Hub!

Alas, wifey is able to take leave to go with Cait and hubby!!! The previous time to the zoo is because wifey just started her new job, hence the difficulties taking leave.

In the morning, she seem a bit moody compared to the day before. She lost all the appetite and, isn't interested in any food. After some thoughts from hubby, he concluded that Cait could be feeling nervous; exactly the same as hubby's pattern.

Even when reaching the school, Cait does not want to let go of hubby at all. She just cling onto him all day long, even when the teachers are explaining some details to them. All the kids were told to stand in a single file, hands on the shelves; go to toilet if they need and pick up their water bottles and wear their shoe.

Except for Cait, she wanted hubby to do everything for her. Luckily after 2 min, another girl named Chanel, had the same issue as Cait. She wanted her mom to carry her and wear the socks and shoe.

When wifey came over to the school after some important calls earlier on, hubby quickly escaped and let her handle Cait if possible.

They were led to take the bus to AMK hub; hubby will be driving there since he and wifey had plans after Cait's school trip. Of course, just the two of them only.

Wifey and Cait sat together throughout the whole journey and thanks to the thoughtful teacher, Hait. She kept on forming interesting sentences with the original children tunes that make the kids entertain well.

After getting registered, everyone had to gather in a room for briefing first. The area is compact and nice, but Pasir Ris side is much bigger in terms of space.

Cait is still feeling moody and she still cling onto wifey and hubby.

When the good time is over, Cait really ask for more. Look like they will be back here or Pasir Ris soon. The important thing is to make her tired, have more fun, and do more exercise so that her appetite will be bigger and better.

All thanks to the school arrangement, Cait have the opportunity to visit explorer kids again. The last time she went was 1year ago! Time had really passes so fast.

Hubby is trying to let Cait visit as many places as possible. Something educational and exercising.

The teachers did enjoy the fun with the kids too, but there's something lacking which they must really focus on. Although teachers have limited manpower, and the place is pretty big, it is better to have 1 teacher station in the center of the playground with rotation shift. Or at least, using initiative to station themselves.

One of the kids had peed on the floor when wifey and hubby found that there's no teacher around. Luckily they saw that and quickly tell one of the teachers and get the staff to clean up the area. Although it is hard, but it is better to have teachers moving everywhere with their eyes on all kids. If not, had the staff to help out too.

Other than that, all is pretty good and Cait really enjoyed herself. Wifey even reassured her with sweets, and told her to say byebye to wifey and hubby when she board the bus. They were pretty worried until the bus arrived.

She did not sob or whine, but instead, saying bye bye to them! That is so heartbreaking; Cait is a grown up girl. Viewing from outside, she sat quietly in the bus with the teachers looking at them.

Clar had been pretty noisy - scream and shout when she is unhappy.

Now, in her walker, she love to use her left foot to push herself forward to get the things she wanted; or even bite it.

It may seem to be funny and smart, but it can be very dangerous. If no one is looking at her, she might just fall down onto the floor! Earlier on, she had her half body out of the stroller; her left foot was stuck between the hole of the seat, but also act as a blocker to prevent her from falling out.

Hubby wonders... does she know she can do that stunt? By luck?

Hubby and wifey bought quite a few things for Cait today.

Most of them are educational, good for training up her mind and engineering base.
They were surprised that the toys are pretty cheap! Buy 1, get 1 free!

First, they bought the doctor set from NTUC.

Secondly, they head up to the kids store to buy the sand art, but end up buying more things for Cait.
The total cost was barely $30! And Cait had a lot of fun building up the items and forming her ABC on the fridge door!

Further more, Cait was feeling sick today; having slight fever making the thing even worse. She felt so lethargic when outside, but doing well when home!

Nevertheless, the kids must feel good and happy!

Sing it, rhyme? Hubby gotta take his hat off tho. What a new invention from her.

One day, she was eating by herself and told wifey and mom that she grown up, would like to eat it by herself! That's so touching! Only for one time... But it is a good effort that she can say things like that!

She seem quite mature recently, especially this week. Teachers in school was amazed by her maturity, because her behavior is quite different from the rest.

Last Friday -

They went to Jurong Point and wifey decided to get Cait a try on making her own cake! So, instead of getting the round shape, she opt for the log cake instead.

It is not easy to get her with the box of cake...

She spent about 10min trying to push in and out the stepper. Making sure she is at the correct position, so that she can stand beside it. But, she did not realise that the plastic made stepper is very dirty as many people had been stepping on it.

She had warned a few times, until she finally got her position up.

Taking photo of her with the cake is not an easy task. Out of the blue, she turn the cake turner very hard until the whole box dropped on the floor! There, she got a good punishment - slap on the hand hardly.

She must understand that this is not a fun thing to do, and stop being very mischievous. Perhaps, she is getting tired tho. And then, she simply do not want hubby at all until the next day.

It had been a long time since the other Ong's and Sow's family meet up ever since Clar is born. Life is just getting busier everyday; with the kids, it is even harder to breathe. Not to forget - taking care of elders at home.

In order, Cait rank number 2 after Xander, then follow by Jin Feng.
Now, for the 2nd child for them, Clar rank number 1 after Xoan and JF's unborn younger brother.

In less than a month, JF's younger brother will be out; hence the steamboat session is organise.

A lovely gathering for the 3 families; time to organise more of it. They are planning for Science Center and Central Fire Station. This have to depend on hubby working schedule and also, Sow's family - getting ready to go hospital anytime soon!

As usual, Cait felt scare when they arrive, kept wanting hubby and wifey for hug; same goes for Clar. It took a while for them to get use to it tho.

Everyone knows Cait is very protective towards her own toys, so sharing will be a bit difficult. She almost went bersek when Xander and JF touched her things and mess it! Hubby and wifey had to reassure her that she must share with others.

It took her quite sometimes to get used to it, unless it is her favourite items being taken. And, she made Xander cry for not sharing the toys. Let's hope Cait will learn from this point, try to share if she can. It is a learning curve for her.

Both girls seem to know that the guests are around, so they will stay up and not going to sleep until everyone left.

Thought they might be able to go Orchard yesterday, but both girls slept pretty late during noon time, and the weather is quite unpredictable. So, they decided to call off and head there during weekday night; lesser people and traffic.

In the end, they went to IMM, Jurong East instead. It is good to bring them out often, so they can get to see more things, and the beautiful lights along the street and building, especially at Orchard area.

This X'mas, they have Clar to join them. So, hubby really want to bring them out to see and feel the festive season.

There are a lot of things that hubby want to do and organized with the kids and 2 more families:
Picnic at ECP
Cycling
Swimming
Excursion to anywhere

Hubby and wifey also wanted to get more educational stuff for Cait, so she can learn more by watching the DVDs in car or at home; hoping that she will.

They felt so tired at home after a long hours of taking care the kids; hence the no-mood-to-go-out kicks in.

It's gonna be tough bringing them out, but it will be priceless tho.
Rather than sticking at home and feeling bored, why not go out and see more things? It's about time to do just that!

This is what Cait sung yesterday morning! But, where does her cha cha come from? To think, she can mix few songs into 1 song and she is very proud of that!

She mixed: 泥娃娃，太阳公公，生日快乐，小蜜蜂

Although it sound funny, but it can be interesting tho.

She is a diligent girl and it is not easy to trick her. No doubt she wanted her way and very persistent; it proven that she is right. Now, looking at her on the second thought, you must not underestimate her because she have her reason by doing that, hence require a lot of thinking first; as if breaking some clue.

Just like yesterday, she spotted Clar was eating the under seat paper when no one saw it! Good grief, that chair is is dirty and it had been using for 10 years! Luckily she did not swallow it in down!

Every night Clar tuck in soundly and she is able to sleep on her own through the whole night, without feeling any fear.

Recently, it seem that Clar is getting more and more insecure. She will make sure that any of her body part must be connected to wifey. E.g. her feet or palm must be touching her mom, despite in the awkward position.

1-2 weeks back, she preferred to sleep facing down on wifey chest, so that she feel the security around her. She will start to cry if been put down on bed, even though it is just beside. Having cuddling is no use as well.

Just like last night, she will wake up every hour because she did not feel secure.

One day, when hubby entered the room while talking to Clar, who is lying on the bed looking at the ceiling, she startled and trembled for a while until getting rest assured of it.

The second time is when Clar was beside hubby; he was playing his iphone and Clar was on her own until wifey came in and talk to him, and she got startled again.

It show that Clar is getting a bit timid, and they need to do something about it.

As for Cait, she was feeling lethargic due to lack of nap time. She kept on whining and crying, but both wifey and hubby do not want to give in to her. After reading the article on magazine regarding the disciplinary on kid, hubby felt that he must be 10 times stern on Cait.

She is getting out of hand, and by teaching her again will take times. It is better than nothing, rather then carry on the mistake she made.

Cait cannot have her way now, and grandma is not allowed to do anything when disciplinary mode is on. This is to prevent Cait from getting help, and understand why she is been treated like this.

Also, Clar is coughing, having flu and phlegm in throat. Up till now, she still diarrhea after consuming typical milk powder. They still continue to feed her with soya, but mixture of milk powder as well.

Let's hope both girls will get better and better.

It is never easy to bring up the kids, especially when they are growing up from infant stage.

From the stage of baby to toddler language, they will begin to express their thoughts and want their way if possible. It is nice to see that they begin to understand lots of things, but that also means that they are going to be very naughty because of their curiosity.

This is the stage that hubby and wifey are quite fearful; Cait is very picky on food and kept on expressing her on thoughts. She do talk a lot, but required lots of understanding. Only hubby and wifey will be able to understand.

While Cait can be very sweet by sharing her seat with hubby, taking care of others and being considerate, but she can be rude at times. She might not even know it is rude at times when the principal noticed that from Cait recently. Cait took things from others by snatching away.

Being concerned, the principal asked if she is behave this way at home; wifey explained that it might be either stress and getting used to the environment in school. Or maybe, Clar had been taking Cait things, hence the snatching. But when she is home, she did not really snatched, instead she will tell mei mei: no!

There are many reasons why this and that. It might be her grandmother, who often snatched the items away from her hand when going for a bathe or meal time.

Pretty hard to say, but monitoring is a must. Thus, wifey told Cait off and guide her the properly way with "please" and "thank you".

As for her meal, they are trying to feed her as many food as possible, but the fussy pot is so particular that she chose not to eat it!

One more to notice from Cait, she love neat and tidy. 10 times clean freak than her grand ma and hubby. Everything must be in proper manner and in order.

She do have a photographic memory, she still remembered which restaurant she fallen off from the chair that happened 2 weeks ago. In short to say, she will keep that in mind no matter what.

This is something that can drive any parents crazy - waking up late during weekdays and very early on weekend!

Does Cait know that it is weekend, and she can go out early for shopping? Apparently this had been going on for quite sometimes! For weekdays, it is so hard to wake her up. By the time she bathed and start eating her porridge, hubby is already late for work. Hence, her granddad will be the one who bring her to school, despite rain or shine.

Hubby know that his dad will feel tired, especially rushing back home after work. Cait need to be in school by 9am latest, so hubby was hoping that he can send her to school instead.

Alternative way, engage a bus driver who can fetch the kids to school.

Accordance to the school, demand is pretty low as most of the kids stay nearby the school. Now, there's one parents who is in the same situation as them; finding for some help if possible. At least the bus driver can send and fetch them to fro school everyday.

At least mom can wait for Cait at void deck when the bus arrive. If not, it will be the manual way, mom had to either take a cab up or walk all the way to the school and back. In long run, taking the cab will end up spending more money, where as for walking; mom health will improve, but she been complaining about her tiredness.

This is the case that they feel frustrated at; worrying that hubby and wifey will be extremely busy soon. Furthermore, hubby might have to work in town next year, thus the traffic will cause numerous jam and slow down the traffic.

Let's hope they can find a better solution.

Cait is trying to snatch the camera from hubby! She love taking the camera from him, maybe she want to be photographer in future? Or planning for some serious hobby?

Week #14

Birthday celebration; Thoughtful Cait

A beautiful day for hubby on Tuesday - his birthday.

They went to Patissier at Mohd Sultan in the morning to purchase the cake, just in case it sold out by noon time. Glad that they were there pretty early; most of the cakes are still available. They had a long time choosing it, but also beware of alcohol and too much chocolate.

Cait will definitely love it because that is her weakness point of all. (It proven them wrong during night time)

After getting the cake, they went to Plaza Singapura for Japanese food, which hubby had been craving for a long time. Took the camera out; wife planning to take a shot, found out that SD card was not IN at all!

Hence, the best friend - iPhone camera! Kudos!

After the meal time, they head up to Parklane for his Birthday gift! That will be shown on hubby's blog.

Once everything is done, they went to Clementi to settle some other stuff. Wifey intended to bake a cake, but fearing of failure, she do not want to carry on with that idea.

But, hubby gotten his another 'gift' from the game shop, which he pre-ordered 1 month ago.

Night falls, and glad that hubby's sister and bro in law came for celebration. Meals and the wonderful cake!

Cait finally had her chance to sing Birthday song! She had been singing that all day long; she really love such day! Be it whether if anyone birthday or not, she still continue with it.

The thoughtful Cait, will get the cake and give to the others first. That is incredible, she is very polite. But she will left the best till the end. But apparently, she does not seem to like this cake. Perhaps, she like the traditional style of chocolate cake.

As for Clar, needless to say anything; she take in whatever is in front of her mouth!

Week #12

Cait had been talking a lot recently. She even told wifey earlier that she is still hungry, despite taken her porridge and chocolate! The reason being - she saw the fried chicken frying at void deck - Malay wedding preparation of food for tomorrow!

And the funniest thing - when she want to go out with hubby to collect food from coffee shop; she will tell wifey to wait for her once the KFC delivery reach. In the other hand, she meant that everyone must wait for her to start eating.

When both of them were downstair walking back home, the water droplets suddenly hit her and hubby; she quickly protect her head and hubby also said he gotten it too. Then she cover his head all the way until they reach void deck!

How sweet, huh!

She is so picky on food that it must be new and untouched. If it had been bitten off, she will feel sad and cry non stop. And, she will be very whiny until something fresh come right before her eyes.

Everyday, Cait is getting more and more thoughtful. Whatever she is doing, Clar also want to follow! But often, she gotten scolded by Jiejie because she was in wrong!

Ever since she started her new playgroup class in school due to promotion to another level, she was forced to throw away her pacifier away! It had been a week that Cait did not ask for that and willing to sleep without it at night! Hubby and wifey were so happy even though she did ask for it a few times.

They can see a new change from Cait, getting more and more talkative and mature in her age.

She know how to take care of her mei mei at home and been very caring in school towards her classmate. She tend to be the type that is mild but can be aggressive when times comes.

But she still is very picky on food. Wifey had been putting so much patience to make her to eat, all because Cait like fried and sweet food, but it must be in plain color. If she like that particular food, she will kept on eating non stop.

Cait wording is getting clearer each time she speaks, but it still sounded pretty funny when she is trying to find the words to fill it in. So far, she did correctly and getting smarter everyday. This goes for both the Eng and Mandarin too.

She is the type that is too smart that wifey find it so hard to bluff her.

For example the straw for the bubble tea is wrapped up; wifey do not want her to drink, hence stating that it require a scissor. But Cait ans that it can be opened by tapping hard on the thigh or sofa, then you can drink it!

They were speechless.

Another: she do not want to say goodbye or do friend kiss to her fav neighbor auntie thus, saying that she had food on her, and if after eaten it, she will say that her palm is oily! No matter what, there will be an excuses from her! Innovative!

Over the weekend - Holiday

Cait was extremely happy and wanted to see her great granny badly; all because of the wheelchair that she can push.

She was a bit shy initially, and turned more and more active within a few min. As for Clar, she cried because she didn't recognise who is she tho. But both girls had their fun there; a pity that they only stay for a while before hitting to Ikea for purchasing of cabinet and plank.

While at Ikea, Cait was pretty excited. Partly she didn't get to go out to these places often. Most of the times is home, and nearby shopping center. This time, hubby will try to make effort to bring her out further like: Science Center, East Coast, town area to see the night light.

But, it is never easy

On the next day, they had planned to redecor the room with new cabinet for hubby and wifey things; Cait books on shelves whereby she can pick and go. Although area is not big, but it is good enough for making this effort.

Hubby wanted to do more, like making the room more kiddish and trying to put up some photos if possible.

At that point of time, everyone was busy; thanks to cousin and cousin in law who dropped by for helping them up. Cait and her cousin were sitting on sofa together munching the vitamin ice cube!

Cait and Clar cried when they arrived, and managed to calm down after a while.

Cait was so happy that there's people in the house and kept wanting to play too. She even want her cousin to pat her to sleep! What a relief!

Until when they wanted to go home, Cait felt lost and upset. Looking into her eyes, she is angry and bored. She really love people coming here to play! Following her mom's foot step, she love crowds at home!

That is to stop Clar from either taking Cait things, or trying to eat something that is not suppose to.
Earlier on, Cait said:"Mei mei, bu yao ku - do not cry"

Clar was so hungry, but Cait wanted to do it slowly by putting the handkerchief and slowly put the milk bottle into mei mei's mouth.

Knowing Clar's pattern, she will just continue scream and shout non stop for milk, but was ignored by Cait totally.

Cait had been promoted to playgroup this week; more to get used for her this week. Luckily the teachers from the toddler class are very understanding, so they will bring Cait back to class if she is feeling very uneasy. This is because she is so attached to her teachers.

In playground, they had been taught not to eat pacifier, put their own mattress cover and finish their meal during tea beak because no more milk is allow around 5pm for Cait. In this way, they hoping that they can feed her faster when she get home.

She has a long way to get used to, this also show that she is growing up!

Time really passes so fast. She was once a baby, sleeping on the mattress and did not make a lot of noise; now she is a talkative girl and move around the house so quickly like a flash!

Remembered the night Hubby went to Jurong Point and get the soya milk powder for Clar?
Yes, the moment he got home, she was still wide awake until the milk is given to her!

Mom finally feel so relieved when Clar was kicking hardly and happy seeing the milk that she want. The trip was not wasted at all; luckily hubby insisted going out that time.

A Lazy Sunday

It was a impromptu moment when they head up to IMM after taking breakfast in the market.

Initial plan was to get stuffs from Daiso; wifey thought of the idea by taking Cait for a water play! With extra clothing and short, they decided to get it from the store in IMM. After getting all their stuffs, they head up to level 3 water play!

Cait was feeling scared initially, although she wanted to get involved! Hence, dragging hubby to the water play sector. Soon, Cait began to like playing with water; she even shared the water jet with another didi as well.

As a parent, you know that during game time, it is inevitable for some others to be mischievous. Cait had been attacked by the water gun on body, so hubby faster drag her away. Luckily Cait know how to avoid it as well, so she did not gotten that attacked.

The person who played the water gun is a young boy; he had no sense of sharing and an EQ at all.

Young boy shot the water gun at people is perfectly ok, but NOT into the eyes! He had been so irritating and spoilt when doing that. Hubby did not say him because the other kid's mom was there as well.

Then, he turned his attention to wifey; who is accompanying Cait to another spray gun. Regardless wifey had told him to stop, he still carry on. All in all, wifey had mentioned 3 times, but the boy did not stop at all.

Wifey simply cannot take it and confronted the boy that why he have to continue spraying and it made her phone wet. His reply was helping her to dry it; and wifey demand to see his mom because he said it is a secret. When they walked away, the young boy went to his grandmother, who is actually standing near the area.

Then, wifey stood and ask who is the mother of that kid. The parent simply did not apologise at all, but felt bad as they received complain from others. Hubby was taking care of Cait at that time, and saw the mother went up to her son and scold him.

This is a bad incident occurred. A parent should always be there to see what is going, just in case someone is injured.

Hoping this one off issue will make the boy remembered his lesson. He tested with the wrong person and system; thought that the wifey will not approach his parent at all.

Although wifey is soaking wet, she felt happy that Cait enjoyed as well! There will be more of this event; at least Cait will feel tired and sleep soon when she reach home.

Cait was so happy that she also involved with baking cookies during evening time.
