It is a direction, not a destination" stated Carl Rogers. Many of us striving for a "good life" set New Year's goals and resolutions, but we soon get disappointed when we lose focus and forget our resolutions. In Chicago, it is particularly hard to stay motivated in the winter when all we want to do is get out of the cold and get under our covers. Many of my clients who seek life coaching or counseling in Chicago in the winter months talk to me about their dreams and hopes, but have a hard time enjoying the process of change which knows no seasons. The biggest gift a life coach or therapist can give you is to inspire you to enjoy the process of change, because when you master that, you have discovered the key to resilient living.<br />-
