TEHERAN - Adik perempuan dari Presiden Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gagal untuk memenangkan kursi di parlemen. Sebelumnya pemilu parlemen Iran dilangsungkan pada Jumat 2 Maret lalu.

Parvin Ahmadinejad, yang selama ini juga dikenal sebagai anggota dewan kota Teheran, dikalahkan oleh lawannya dari pihak konservatif. Ia gagal mendapatkan kursi di parlemen untuk mewakili kota kelahirannya, Garmsar. Demikian diberitakan Telegraph, Minggu (4/3/2012).

Parvin diketahui hanya mendapat 728 suara, yang menunjukan dirinya tidak mampu mengalahkan rival politiknya. Kegagalan Parvin ini biasa dianggap sebagai kegagalan besar bagi Presiden Ahmadinejad, sejak kemenangannya dalam pemilu 2009 silam.

Hingga kini pihak Konservatif yang menjadi rival Ahmadinejad, diketahui memimpin perolehan sementara dari pemilu. Bila mereka dipastikan menang, maka bukan tidak mungkin bahwa dalam sisa 18 bulan kekuasannya, Ahmadinejad akan mendapatkan tekanan keras.

Dalam hasil sementara memang menunjukan bahwa loyalis dari pemimpin tertinggi Ayatullah Ali Khamenei memang berada di depan. Sedangkan dari beberapa hasil penghitungan dari beberapa provinsi, menunjukan bahwa rival Ahmadinejad dipilih oleh banyak konstituen.

Unggulnya pihak konservatif memang sudah diperkirakan sebelumnya. Namun 290 kursi parlemen ini memang hanya diperebutkan oleh kubu Ahmadinejad dan loyalis Khamenei yang sama-sama konservatif. Sementara kubu reformis absen dalam pemilu tahun ini.

Hasil dari pemilu parlemen dipastikan tidak akan merubah kebijakan Iran, termasuk program nuklirnya. Tetapi kemenangan dari rival Ahmadinejad ini dapat memperlemah kekuatan Ahmadinejad dapat pemilu presiden 2013 mendatang.

Gholam Ali Haddad Adel yang menikah dengan putri dari Khamenei, diketahui memimpin dalam pertarungan menuju kursi Presiden Iran. Sementara loyalis Khamenei lainnya, Ali Motahari dan Ahmad Tavakili, juga mengancam posisi Ahmadinejad.
