The BMW and its BMW Motorrad Motorsport division, introducing the first four cylinder motorcycle, the BMW HP4, for model year 2012. A technical and engineering progression that started with the very first HP model back in 2005, the HP4 harnesses the same water-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine found on the BMW S 1000 RR. Able to generate 193 horsepower, BMW added "Rain", "Sport", "Race" and "Slick" modes for an even power distribution despite the ride conditions.

Race ABS, along with Dynamic Traction Control, both optimized for two wheels, there is even a Launch Control function like those on high-end performance cars. Already the lightest among four-cylinder superbikes at just 199 kilos, more weight can be taken off with its Competition Package of carbon fiber elements and special alloy accessories. The BMW HP4 will be arriving at the BMW showroom near you shortly.

VICTORY COMFORT CONTROL SYSTEM

Enjoy season-extending comfort with the Victory Comfort Control System, which provides a rider with Upper Air Controls and Lower Air Controls to manage the airflow from the front end. In cold or wet conditions, close the controls to completely block the elements. In warm weather, open them up to enjoy cooling airflow.

CRUISE CONTROL

Out on the open road, go ahead and activate the cruise control for an easy, relaxed ride. This automotive-qualify cruise control is easy to activate and set, and it reliably maintains the desired speed. To de-activate it, simply press “Off” or engage the clutch lever or either brake.

4.7 INCHES OF REAR SUSPENSION TRAVEL

The open road can get a little rough, so it’s great to have the 4.7” of smooth travel provided by the Cross Country Tour rear suspension. The air shock is easily adjusted using a hand pump so the suspension delivers a consistently smooth ride for one or two riders, with or without cargo on board.

Cross Country Tour saddlebags set the standard for storage space, cargo protection and security. These bags offer a total of 21.3 gallons of storage space, and the lockable lids have weatherproof seals to protect gear stowed inside. Rails that extend beyond the base of the saddlebags complement the bike’s style and provide outstanding low-speed tip-over protection.

HEATED SEATS AND GRIPS

Extend the riding season with the heated handgrips and heated seats. The driver has Hi & Lo settings on the hand controls to ward off the chill, and the seats provide the driver and passenger with individual Hi/Lo controls.

The 2012 Ducati Diavel Cromo, flawless shine of the chromium plated tank, which contrasts starkly yet stylishly with the gloss black, gives the Diavel real cult status. This vintage interpretation of Diavel style is completed by horizontal seat stitching and classic Ducati logos. The Diavel project was born when Ducati designers applied their wish-list of bike “basic instincts” to a blank canvas. With a “what if?” approach to creating a dream bike, they sketched inspiring shapes which became a lower and longer motorcycle. “The challenge of building a muscular silhouette over a pure-bred competition motor had to be met with determination and a delicate touch, and the result is a frontal area that looks like a power athlete on the starting blocks,” explains the team at Ducati Design responsible for the project. “With the front wheel kept close to the Diavel’s body and using the short tail of a sport bike, we were able to blend this muscular design with a chassis that matched.”

The Diavel Cromo inherits the unique design of the Diavel and is characterised by the chrome mirror-finish tank, which contrasts starkly yet stylishly with the gloss black parts. This vintage interpretation of Diavel style is completed by horizontal seat stitching and classic Ducati logos.

Simoncelli Was Killed Due To An Injury On The Chest, Neck And Head

Marco Simoncelli was eventually declared dead after an accident involving himself in the Sepang circuit. Earlier, though his condition is reported to have been aware of the critical. Injuries in the head, neck and chest finally killed him.

Description of the medical team said when outlining the causes of death of Marco Simoncelli. Medical Director Dr. Michele Macchiagodena mentions, Simoncelli was killed due to injuries in the head, neck, and chest.

"I am very sad to be here to tell you about the death of Marco Simoncelli because of severe accident caused by another driver, there is a trauma to the head, neck and chest," said Macchiagodena in a press conference at the Sepang circuit, the week (11/10/2011).

Rhode Island Police Officers are putting these to the test in a three-month pilot program announced in July -- officers like them for their ability to maintain mobility and personal contact with residents. This more substantial highway-legal scooter, with dimensions more akin to a regular full-size motorbike, will take about seven seconds to top out at 62 mph. Remarkably, it costs just one cent per mile to operate.

4. The Street Racer: Enertia

Look out for this one at the Isle of Man TT road race next year. The new event, called the TTXP, is open to two-wheeled "clean-emission" vehicles. The standard Enertia set for release later this year boasts a 13kW motor that generates 18HP at 3,600 rpm, propelling the carbon fiber frame to a top speed of 50+ mph in seven seconds. Batteries are six Lithium Iron Phosphate modules lodged directly underneath the rider and give a range of 35-45 miles.

The 2012 Harley-Davidson FLTRXSE CVO Road-Glide-Custom features a distinctive, frame-mounted fairing that offers a lighter steering feel than a fork-mounted fairing, and incorporates dual headlamps and a cockpit-style gizmo display. The CR1 Road Scott Bicycles is designed for performance and comfort. Obviously they are not speaking about some slow and heavy "Comfort Bike". What they are speaking about is Scott's light and quick high finish performance bicycle with a frame designed to absorb shock and vibrations and reduce fatigue on longer rides.

The CR1 Road Scott Bicycles are known for their light weight frames & aerodynamic designs more so than for their high finish parts although you can get these bikes with higher quality parts in case you choose the higher price or component levels within each models.

Scott places the CR1 Road in their "Performance" category along with the less expensive Speedster bikes and offers five different CR1 price or component levels (the SL , Pro , Elite , Team and Comp). The carbon frame is exactly the same on all levels. The differences are primarily with the components (see the comparison below for more information on this).

Another big advantage to the Scott CR1 Road bikes it that they are very reasonably priced, you can buy these bikes online with options for home or store delivery and you can often find great deals on previous years models (new) online.

Although the CR1 has been replaced by the Addict as Scotts high end, top dog performance or racing bike, the CR1 is still one of the best racing or performance bikes on the market.

About-Bicycles Review:

The frame on the Scott CR1 is excellent (and is the same on all models) but there are vast differences in the individual models. Personally, I like the compact crankset of the Scott CR1 Comp but I prefer the CR1 Team overall for the price and component quality.

KBC HELMETS

The KBC is a comfortable helmets and it includes some interesting features. The KBC is a solid helmets with good build quality, meets both DOT and Snell safety standards

The KBC has a different paint scheme and probably a few tweaks here and there, but the profile is unmistakable. KBC has taken one or two basic helmet shell designs and, well, milked the heck out of 'em. KBC did release a flip-up helmet a couple of years ago, but other than that, the KBC strategy appears to be based on modifying existing designs with new colors and graphics. all!.

The same basic design has been used for years and appears on just about every KBC helmets, but that KBC quality leaves something to be desired. About price definitely has an effect on a helmet review. The KBC Price is a good helmets at reasonable. So is an interesting helmet, and still a good bargain, but it has one very good feature, as you'll discover.
