Seven-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) "Vocal Group of the Year" , Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver will be making their first appearance at the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival in 2013. In addition to their IBMA awards, the Bristol (Tennessee) based group has four Grammy nominations and has won more than 20 major bluegrass music awards in it's more than 30 years of existence. Quicksilver will appear on Sunday only.

Become a member of our Street Team

Help us spread the word about the New RichmondBluegrass Festival. There are still lots of music lovers out there who haven't discovered all the music, camaraderie and friendly atmosphere that have helped us earn the reputation of being one of Canada's best bluegrass music festivals. Street Team members are automatically eligible for weekly draws, but there are a limited number of place available, so apply now.

Why?

By helping us promote the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival, you'll be helping us reduce costs related to marketing, which in turn helps us to keep our ticket prices affordable.

In addition, Street Team members will receive discounts on festival passes and are automatically eligible to win weekly draws for such things as souvenirs and free tickets to the festival. You'll also save $10 on any festival pass or $5 on a day pass.

How you can help

There are several ways you can help us spread the word. Here are just a few:

 Facebook - Join us on Facebook, share our posts and invitre your friends to attend. You MUST be on Facebook to join our Street Team.

 Emails - We'll send you a link to our website and Facebook page that you can add to your email signatures.

 Posters & handouts - We'll supply them, all you have to do is distribute them in convenience stores, bars and other public places. We suggest that you ask permission before hand.

 Tell your friends about the festival

 More - Suggest other ways to promote the festival and we'll pass your suggestions along to other Street Team members.

There are a limited number of places available on our Street Team. Please read the Street Team information sheet and agreement, and then click on the link below to apply. It's that easy. If your application is accepted, you'll be notified within seven days.

Schedule of Street Team draws

2013 Street Team weekly draws will take place on Sundays beginning April 14 and ending August 25. You can win more than once (if you're really lucky) and all Street Team members will receive at least one prize. Winners will be notified by email and posted on our Facebook page. Surprise draws exclusively for Street Team members will also take place.

The Roys in concert May 11

Nashville based acoustic country/bluegrass band "the Roys" will be back in New Richmond on May 11, 2012. The New Richmond Bluegrass Festival and the DesjardinsRegional Concert Hall (Salle de spectacles régionale Desjardins) in New Richmond are collaborating on the show which will feature the brother/sister act and their band.

You can now reserve a spot in our reserved camping area, which is located just after the barn and a 1-2 minute walk from all the music.

In addition, VIP Passes include camping in the VIP/band camping section as well as Meet & Greets, souvenir packs and more.

Please note that camping spots within sections are attributed on a first come, first served basis. Purchasing VIP or Reserved Camping Passes garanties you a camping spot within the section, but we cannot reserve individual spots.

The Roys to launch new CD at the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival

Organizers of the New Richmond Bluegrass Festival are extremely pleased to announce that Nashville recording artists extremely pleased to announce that it will host the launch party for the Roys highly anticipated CD “New Day Dawning”. The Roys were to appear on August 30 and 31, but have now added two additional shows on August 28 and 29 with Tuesday evening’s show being the launch party. Both advance shows will get under way at 7:30 PM.
