The police officers and school officials used this scare tactic to try to deter students from drinking and driving. And they got their point across, students and teachers alike were crying for hours before they found out it was a hoax. But once you start lying to get your point across, it undermines the credibility of your argument. The judge originally had good intentions in mind, but now he's officially lost his mind. He ordered the father to "stay on top" of his daughter's education because she had trouble in high school (while living with her mother). Now the 18-year-old girl has an 18-month-old daughter of her own, she's a legal adult, and her father is being punished for her in-actions. I can't be the only person that thinks either this judge has gone bad shit, or this isn't America anymore. Family or not, an American adult should not be punished for the actions of another adult, period. And what are we going to do about all the parents who have children with Down's syndrome? And since when was it against the law to not get your GED? What's worse is she didn't even bring enough for the whole jury. But maybe she should have, and if everybody in the court room was high they would see how stupid it is that we're wasting so much time and money over a plant.
