I am one of those people that love Pizza Hut. The thing is some Pizza Huts aren't as good as others and none of them taste the was the used to when I was younger. Except this Pizza Hut in Edinburgh. The pan pizza was actually thick like they used to be not how they are now. I know they are probably just trying to save money, but really. It's Pizza Hut...they need to have pride in their Pizzas ;0) I am not saying that all of them don't, the one near where my work used to be is always awesome, but the one that delivers near our house....that's another story all together. Anyway at this Pizza Hut the salad bar automatically comes with the meal. They serve wine, stuffed mushrooms and look at that desert. We only got the pizza and salad bar though, the pizza was so good it filled us up. Also the waitress was very friendly, she didn't seem rushed or anything, she treated us like we were the only customers there and it was getting busy. I had to take pictures while we were here, my husband was like really and I told him I would have to tell everyone about it. So here it is for everyone ;0)

Part 2

Everyone says that it always rains in Scotland. I think it may have drizzled a little bit. I packed my umbrella, poncho and everything and never used them. It was beautiful when we went. It always looked as if it was going to rain, but the sun would be shinning also. My favorite kind of weather. People say it is God's country and I would have to agree.

If only our trash trucks had this on it. Plus it seems like they have ashtrays every 20 feet.

I have many more pictures from this day, because everything was within walking distance so we didn't have to spend all of our time there driving around.

We woke up that morning and the festival was still going on. There were people on Princes Street everywhere performing, dressed up, painting. It was magical and everyone was so friendly. I will include more pictures tomorrow. I hope that you will enjoy.

We stayed at Brown's Bed and Breakfast while we were in Edinburgh and it was wonderful. I have never stayed anywhere that is so nice and also makes you feel right at home. This is the room that we stayed in, of course I forgot to take pictures while I was there so I had to search the internet for a picture that I could copy and paste. The bed was super comfortable especially after our stay in London. Even though I did get the comfortable side of the bed there. Thanks to my wonderful husband. The shower was huge and they have a heated towel rack. The breakfast was great, the fruit was so good, it tasted so much better than the fruit that we get here. Makes me want to plant some fruit trees of my own so that I can have fresh fruit all of the time. The owner's are wonderful and they get booked up all of the time. If they are booked though they usually will have recommendations of places that you can stay. Marion helped us get booked on a tour of the Highlands and they picked us up across the street at the "grocery" store. I'm not sure if that is what it is called there, I'm thinking it is not. We were able to stay here because the owner's are my husband's uncle and aunt, and we were fortunate that we were able to stay here. I believe anyone would be lucky to get to stay in their home and I'm not saying that just because they are family. Besides how wonderful the place is and the people, it is fairly close to many things. Where we live now I don't like to walk by myself, but while I was there we did so much walking and the last day we were there, my husband was wore out, plus he had to wait for a delivery, so I went walking to Princes Street by myself. I got some really good pictures, but that is for another blog post. I stayed gone for a few hours walking and shopping. I would love to more to Edinburgh, it really did feel like home. If you would like you can check out some of the reviews that other people gave to Brown's Bed and Breakfast. I want everyone to see how great other people think it is without you thinking that my review may be biased.

I received a Kindle Fire for Christmas from my husband and mother-in-law and I love it. My husband got an IPad when we went to Europe and honestly it was pretty cool, but I am not much into Apple products. I guess I'm set in my ways like that. Not saying that if anyone decided to give me something FREE made by Apple I wouldn't accept it, it's just not my first choice. Anyway, getting back to the Kindle Fire.... I personally think that it is a great tablet especially for the price. $199. I loved my original Kindle that I received a couple of years ago from my aunt, but technology changes so fast. The only thing I miss about my original Kindle is how it had the buttons on each side so that if you were laying down reading you could just hold it in one hand, didn't matter which one, and still be able to turn the pages fairly easily. Also I haven't been able to find on the Kindle Fire where you can do text to speech like you could on the original Kindle, but then again it took me a year to find it on there. Needless to say you can pretty much do anything on the Kindle Fire. It is color, touch screen and it's pretty simple to use. I love how you can find your books so much easier on this one. I also watch Netflix, surf the internet, read my emails and play games all on this. Plus it is small and light enough that I can carry anywhere. Another cool thing is that it takes the same charger as my Droid Incredible so I can actually charge it in my car. I still have my old Kindle charging at times so if I run the battery out of my Kindle Fire and my cell phone(because I have the kindle app on it also), then I have my old stand by. I would recommend this product to pretty much anyone who wants a tablet or a Kindle. The screen isn't as big as an IPad just to warn you though. You can buy these at Best Buy if you want to actually touch it before you buy it.

I have used Ebates off and on the past couple of years, but lately when I decided to shop online I have been finding myself going to this site first. Many times they have coupons you can use and you also earn a percentage of what you buy back. I just checked out Bath and Body Works from this site and they have a coupon code to save 20% off of your purchase plus you earn 6% back. If you're going to shop online anyway why not possibly save money and earn some while you're at it.

One of my husband's friends asked if we have fireflies in North Carolina and I told him we have lightning bugs, which I was assuming was the same thing. It is, but then I thought about it I haven't seen them since I was a kid. Of course now I live in a more populated area. So I had to Google fireflies and this is the site I found. We hired a car to take us from Kensigton West, where we were staying to the airport. If anyone ever wonders, London Luton Airport wasn't close at all to where we were staying. We took East Jet to London and landed at Stansted, but for the return flight to Edinburgh we had to travel from Luton. It took forever to get there and it wasn't cheap to get there. Stansted wasn't that close either. We had to take a bus to the bus station and then a taxi to the hotel. I am really not sure which airport would be closer unless it is Heathrow. I just chose those because the flights were cheaper. In the long run though depending on where you are staying it would probably be just as cheap to fly to Heathrow. Before you go you may want to research the total prices. The gentleman that drove us to Stansted was very nice. He was telling us how he came to live in London and about all the things that everyone was doing to prepare for the Olympics. We got to the airport a few hours early...better early than late. When we finally boarded we made our way to Edinburgh and arrived there late that evening. I didn't take any pictures on this day because we arrived at Brown's Bed and Breakfast pretty late and we went to bed so that we could wake up early the next day and explore.

Tomorrow I will post about the bed and breakfast. Very nice, great people, awesome food.....also a great help on everything to do around town.

Trip to Europe-Stonehenge

Stonehenge September 1, 2012

Stonehenge was so far away in the middle of nowhere. We did an all day package from Evan Evans Tours, Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge in that order and all in one day. I am glad to say that we have been there, it was amazing, but I think I may have been expecting more. What? I have no idea, but maybe because normally everything is so gimmicky, but this is just natural. You can't get up to the stones, they are roped off, but really though who could blame them. They are supposed to be building a museum type place sometime or another, which will be good so that you can learn more about it. We weren't there long and I think everyone was exhausted. We parked across the street from Stonehenge and walked through the underground tunnel. When we came up on the other side there it was. I did get some really good pictures of it. We walked around it and then went back through the tunnel and to the bus then drove back. We did have an audio guide which helped to find out some things. If you would like to see pictures of Windsor Castle and Bath there are posted a few days before this in my blog.

I love the park and the flower design.

This was a beautiful city. It was amazing the Roman Bath's and it was so peaceful. The tour that we were on offered for us to taste the water from the fountain. I guess they make it where it doesn't have the algae in it or whatever so I had to try it just to say I did. It was not good, it was hot and had a very weird taste to it, but if I didn't try it then I wouldn't be able to write about it now. Apparently from what the tour guide said Nicholas Cage used to live here. If you would like to read more about Bath I have included some links in here that I hope you will enjoy.

Europe Trip-Windsor Castle

We woke up early and took a cab to the bus station and met Evan Evan's tours to travel to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. This post is just going to be the pictures from Windsor Castle. I took so many pictures of each place I didn't want to bombard you with all of them on one post. We paid for the trip with our concierge at The Kensington West the day before so we just took our receipt and gave it to the people when we got to the bus station. We left there and headed on our way to Windsor Castle. I don't remember the tour guides name, but he reminded me of Mario Lopez a little bit. We got to Windsor Castle and looked around, we didn't have too much time there, but we did get to see the changing of the guard and was able to get our son some actual military men. He really wanted some of these. While we were in the gift shop there was a guard in there and he seemed so normal, he was talking to one of the workers about seeing them later. My husband also took a picture of the WC (water closet) because he says that all of the time and many of our friends didn't know what it meant so I had him take the picture.

The crooked house Standing outside of this is where the gentleman asked me about of tour and I told him that we were going to Windsor Castle, Bath(Baatth) and Stonehenge. He was like Baath I said yea Baath he said no it is Bahth. I can't spell like it sounds but just pretend that you are hearing a very country accent (that would be me) saying Bath. Then an English accent saying Bath and that is what you get. So after that the whole trip I was saying Bath correctly and I am even saying it correctly now. I bet you are too.

Europe Trip-Buckingham Palace

I had to take a picture of this for my friend Jennifer. Isn't she beautiful?

We were so tired at this point that we took pictures and still walked to the tube. We took the "scenic" route around Buckingham Palace. It is huge, and so beautiful. We decided not to take the tour because our feet were so tired. I am all about walking, but I didn't think we were ever going to make it to the tube. Not that there wasn't tubes nearby it was just that I had to go a certain way. I am one of those people that if we came one way I want to go back a different way so that we can see different things. The time of the year that we went wasn't so busy that you couldn't get around and the weather was perfect to me. When we finally got around the palace all the way around we finally found a tube that we recognized. Then I think we road the tube back to where we were staying. I think we also just got junk food this night. We had to wake up early the next day to go on our trip to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. We were going to go to Paris, but they didn't have an available trip again until that Friday and that was the day that we were flying to Edinburgh Scotland.

My grandma had a Mulberry Tree when I was a kid and I loved it. I would climb up in the tree and eat the Mulberries or pick them so that she could make a mulberry cobbler. When we were in Scotland they had a Mulberry juice drink. It was so good, but not like fresh mulberries. We live in a town house now, but when we get out own house with a yard I will definitively have to buy a Mulberry Tree. I was googling different things and I just though about googling mulberry trees and I found this site. They aren't that expensive either which is a plus.
