We all have a basic idea about the purpose of each wire going in and out of our computer. But a few wires seem a bit off when it comes to their appearance. They have a cylindrical bead dangling near the end. So what’s this bead doing on that wire and what purpose does it serve? Today, we are going to unravel this mystery for you.

You will not only find this bead at end of charging cables but also mouse, keyboard and other peripheral cables. It turns out that lump’s called a ferrite bead or, more generically, a choke. It’s a fancy name for what’s basically an electromagnetic wave-bouncer. If you open this bead, you will not find any complex circuits but only a ferrite cylinder that is magnetic in nature. It is this magnetic quality of the bead that serves the purpose.

So basically, when current passes through any cable, it generates electromagnetic interference (EMI). Your electronic gadgets also produce EMI during operation. For example, if you connect a camera to your monitor, the camera would produce intereference and cause your monitor to flicker without the presence of a ferrite bead. If left unabated, EMI can wreck havoc with your computer peripherals.

These ferrite chokes ensure that signals are only sent in the intended directions and no EMI is transmitted between the peripherals. The choke dampens these EMI waves by acting as an EMI blocker. The blocking is most effective when it is near the source of the EMI, thats why you will only find these ferrite beads near the end of the cables. So, this little mystery is now solved! These tiny cyst-like beads make sure that our computer peripherals work properly and don’t cause any issues for the computer itself.

Apple Inc. has patented a technology that would allow the user – businesses, governments or law enforcement officers – remotely disable features of wireless devices, such as taking or sending photographs or video footage.
The patented technology utilizes WiFi, mobile base stations or GPS to send an encoded signal to all wireless devices within a so-called sensitive area, disabling recording functions. The patent lists potential “sensitive areas” as theaters, concert venues or religious ceremonies, but proponents of free speech worry this technology could be used by police who do not wish to be filmed in acts of brutality, for example.
“As wireless devices such as cellular telephones, pagers, personal media devices and smartphones become ubiquitous, more and more people are carrying these devices in various social and professional settings. The result is that these wireless devices can often annoy, frustrate, and even threaten people in sensitive venues,” states the patent. “Additionally, the wireless transmission of sensitive information to a remote source is one example of a threat to security. This sensitive information could be anything from classified government information to questions or answers to an examination administered in an academic setting.”
To be clear, Apple has patented the technology, but it would remain up to businesses and government agencies how and when it would be used.

Let’s create the bootable USB drive with Windows installation files then

First, head to http://rufus.akeo.ie/, scroll down a bit and click the download link.

Plug in the USB drive you want to make bootable and launch the downloaded file. Rufus will ask whether you like automated updates, click Yes. After all, you do not need to bother checking the download page for updates each time your Windows goes berserk, do you?

The Device combo box lists all connected USB drives, make sure to select the correct one there. The total capacity for a drive is listed inside square brackets.
Partition scheme and target system type is set to MBR partition scheme for BIOS and UEFI computers by default. This is the most compatible option and it must be selected if you want to create Windows XP or Windows Vista bootable installation media.
MBR partition scheme for UEFI computer is supported for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 installations, but your computer must be in UEFI (not BIOS) mode for this to work.
GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer is supported for Windows 8 and 8.1 installations only, and the computer must be in UEFI mode again. This option cannot be used if you launch Rufus on Windows XP.
So yeah, leave the default option selected in most cases.

Set Create a bootable disk using to ISO image and click the DVD-writer icon. Locate and select the ISO file you want to copy onto the USB drive. Click Start after this.

Method 1 :

First of all you need to scan for available wireless networks.

you can use“NetStumbler” or “Kismet” for Windows and Linux and KisMac for Mac.

It’ll also show how the Wi-fi network is encrypted. The two most common encryption techniques are:

1) WEP (Wire Equivalent Privacy )

2) WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)

WEP allows a hacker to crack a WEP key easily whereas WAP is currently the most secure and best option to secure a wi-fi network

It can’t be easily cracked as WEP because the only way to retreive a WAP key is to use a brute-force attack or dictionary atack.

How to Crack WEP

To crack WEP we will be using Live Linux distribution called BackTrack to crack WEP.

BackTrack have lots of preinstalled softwares but for this time
The tools we will be using on Backtrack are:

a)Kismet – a wireless network detector
b)airodump – captures packets from a wireless router
c)aireplay – forges ARP requests
d)aircrack – decrypts the WEP keys

Follow the steps One by One

1) First of all we have to find a wireless access point along with its bssid, essid and channel number. To do this we will run kismet by opening up the terminal and typing in kismet. It may ask you for the appropriate adapter which in my case is ath0. You can see your device’s name by typing in the command iwconfig.
2) To be able to do some of the later things, your wireless adapter must be put into monitor mode. Kismet automatically does this and as long as you keep it open, your wireless adapter will stay in monitor mode.

3) In kismet you will see the flags Y/N/0. Each one stands for a different type of encryption. In our case we will be looking for access points with the WEP encryption. Y=WEP N=OPEN 0=OTHER(usually WAP).

4) Once you find an access point, open a text document and paste in the networks broadcast name (essid), its mac address (bssid) and its channel number. To get the above information, use the arrow keys to select an access point and hit to get more information about it.

5) The next step is to start collecting data from the access point with airodump. Open up a new terminal and start airodump by typing in the command:

airodump-ng -c [channel#] -w [filename] –bssid [bssid] [device]

In the above command airodump-ng starts the program, the channel of your access point goes after -c , the file you wish to output the data goes after -w , and the MAC address of the access point goes after –bssid. The command ends with the device name. Make sure to leave out the brackets.

6) Leave the above running and open another terminal. Next we will generate some fake packets to the target access point so that the speed of the data output will increase. Put in the following command:

aireplay-ng -1 0 -a [bssid] -h 00:11:22:33:44:55:66 -e [essid] [device]

In the above command we are using the airplay-ng program. The -1 tells the program the specific attack we wish to use which in this case is fake authentication with the access point. The 0 cites the delay between attacks, -a is the MAC address of the target access point, -h is your wireless adapters MAC address, -e is the name (essid) of the target access point, and the command ends with the your wireless adapters device name.

7) Now, we will force the target access point to send out a huge amount of packets that we will be able to take advantage of by using them to attempt to crack the WEP key. Once the following command is executed, check your airodump-ng terminal and you should see the ARP packet count to start to increase. The command is:

aireplay-ng -3 -b [bssid] -h 00:11:22:33:44:5:66 [device]

In this command, the -3 tells the program the specific type of attack which in this case is packet injection, -b is the MAC address of the target access point, -h is your wireless adapters MAC address, and the wireless adapter device name goes at the end.
Once you have collected around 50k-500k packets, you may begin the attempt to break the WEP key. The command to begin the cracking process is:

aircrack-ng -a 1 -b [bssid] -n 128 [filename].ivs

In this command the -a 1 forces the program into the WEP attack mode, the -b is the targets MAC address,and the -n 128 tells the program the WEP key length. If you don’t know the -n , then leave it out. This should crack the WEP key within seconds. The more packets you capture, the bigger chance you have of cracking the WEP key.

Download backtrack iso file and make bootable usb and you can plug and play backtrack easily

Method 2:

Hack Wifi With Backtrack Linux window

Step 1: Run VMware and open Backtrack iso.

Step 2: Open Shell Consol after start Backtrack.

Step 3: Type airmon-ng and hit enter. It will show you interface, chipset, driver, etc.

Step 4: Type airodump-ng wlan0 and hit enter. Wait a while when it is searching for available connections.

Step 5: You can see a list. Chose a hotspot name you want to hack.

Step 6: Copy the ch value of your selected connection. Then type airdump-ng-c and past ch value just after this. Next to the ch value type –bssid space your bssid number and -w wep_hack wlan0 and press enter.

(Example: airdump-ng-c ch value –bssid 00:1F:9F:73:C0:45 -w wep_hack wlan0)

Step 7: Wait and do not close the window.

Step 8: If this window has finished then open a new shell console and type dir and hit enter.

Step 9: Type aircrack-ng -a 1 –b and your bssid.

(example: aircrack-ng -a 1 -b 00:1F:9F:73:C0:45 wep_hack-01.cpp)

Step 10: If you have seen this text decrypted correctly 100%, it means you have successfully done this process.

Now you can see you desired Wi-Fi password just above this massage.

Usually how do we copy a content from a docs ? We would select the content we need to copy down and use short cut keys or Right click and Select copy. How about disable selecting text itself , then readers couldn't use shortcuts and even though they couldn't copy down using right click options.

It must take a lot of work to make a squad-based action game. On top of having to deliver all the core aspects that any shooter should have–things like responsive gameplay and great graphics and sound–a game designer working with squad-style gameplay also has to worry a lot about artificial intelligence. Freedom Fighters, the new game from the developers of last yearâ™s great Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, deftly avoids the many pitfalls of AI squad tactics, and this, combined with great control, mission design, and presentation, makes for a truly fantastic game.
Freedom Fighters takes place in an alternate reality that never saw the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Instead, the Red threat has continued to grow since the end of World War II, taking hold in countries as close to home as Cuba and Mexico. The game opens with the plumbing team of Chris and Troy Stone paying a visit to the clogged sink of Isabella Angelina, who also happens to be a vocal member of a watchdog organization devoted to informing the American public about the evils of the Soviet Union. The duo enters her apartment to find that it has been hastily evacuated, and soon after, Soviet troops bust in to try to find her, only to capture Troy instead. The Soviet invasion of the US has begun.
After that brief setup, youâ™re thrust into the role of Chris Stone, and you hook up with Isabellaâ™s resistance movement almost immediately. Operating from the sewers beneath New York City, the movement aims to overthrow the invaders and drive the communists out of the country. Youâ™ll start as a lowly member of the team, but you grow in popularity and influence as the game goes on, and Chris will slowly transform from an average 32-year-old plumber into a battle-hardened leader.
The game isnâ™t terribly long-winded in its storytelling. Most of the gameâ™s plot is advanced by a series of humorous Soviet-run newscasts, which cover your actions as terrorist activities. Your missions are laid out in the rebel base, and the briefings are great at explaining the strategic significance of, say, reclaiming a high school building for the red, white, and blue. Though the story is told well and works great in the context of the game, itâ™s pretty short on substance. Aside from a foreshadowed plot twist that you can see coming from a mile away, not a whole lot happens in the game. It must also be said that the game doesnâ™t provide much closure at the end, simultaneously setting up for a sequel while not really leaving you with a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. A more climactic final mission would have gone a long way. These things hardly affect the incredible quality of the gameâ™s action, though.
At the outset, Freedom Fighters plays like a rock-solid third-person shooter, with smooth and responsive controls. You can shoot from the hip or raise your weapon for precision firing, which causes the camera to zoom in slightly for a cool over-the-shoulder view. You have an inventory of items and the ability to carry a pistol and one primary weapon, such as a shotgun, an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, or a submachine gun. Youâ™ll also be able to carry grenades, Molotov cocktails, high explosives, binoculars, and health packs that restore your health when used, though they can also be used to heal wounded civilians or other freedom fighters.

Through angryip scanner we can use different services like FTP, Telnet, Ping, Trace route , SSH , whois , Geo locate , Email Sample etc .
