One Times Square (home of the famous ball drop every New Year's Eve)
One Times Square (1475 Broadway, New York Times Building and New York Times Tower) is a 25 story, 395 foot (110.6 m) high skyscraper at 42nd and Broadway in Times Square. It was the second tallest building in Manhattan when it opened. The famous New Year's Times Square Ball drop is performed annually from its roof. It was originally built to be the headquarters of The New York Times. The Times was to start the tradition of dropping the ball. It also introduced a news ticker (the "zipper") that has made it a gathering spot during world events.

Bertelsmann Building
Bertelsmann Building, originally known as 1540 Broadway, is a 42-story, 733 foot (223 m) office tower in Times Square in Manhattan, New York City, standing at West 45th Street. The building is the North American headquarters of Bertelsmann.

Started in 1989 and finished in 1990, the tower is one of the few in Times Square to contain class A office space. Also found in the tower is Planet Hollywood's first Official All Star Café, and also there's Mac Flagship, Disney Store, and Forever 21.

In the 1990s the Bertelsmann subsidiary of Random House looked to build a skyscraper across 45th Street from its parent and be connected to it via a neon-lighted bridge across 45th Street connecting them. When the deal fell through it built the Random House Tower 10 blocks uptown.

Brill Building
The Brill Building (built 1931 as the Alan E. Lefcourt Building and designed by Victor Bark Jr.) is an office building located at 1619 Broadway on 49th Street in the New York City borough of Manhattan, just north of Times Square and further uptown from the historic musical Tin Pan Alley neighborhood. It is famous for housing music industry offices and studios where some of the most popular American music tunes were written. The building is 11 stories and approximately 175,000 rentable square feet.

Times Square Tower
Times Square Tower is a 47-story, 726-foot (221 m) office tower in Times Square in Manhattan, New York City, standing at West 41st Street. The tower contains Class A office space. Some of the most prominent features of the Times Square Tower are its billboards, several of which hang on the building's façade. Most of the large signs are found near the base, but one 4-story sign is found above the middle of the building.

New York Times Tower
The New York Times Building is a skyscraper on the west side of Midtown Manhattan that was completed in 2007. Its chief tenant is The New York Times Company, publisher of The New York Times and owner of The Boston Globe, the International Herald Tribune, as well as other regional papers. Construction was a joint venture of The New York Times Company, Forest City Ratner Companies—the Cleveland-based real estate firm redeveloping the Brooklyn Atlantic rail yards—and ING Real Estate.

Bank of America Tower
The Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park is a 1,200 ft (366 m) skyscraper in the Midtown district of Manhattan in New York City, in the United States. It is located on Sixth Avenue, between 42nd and 43rd Street, opposite Bryant Park.

The Orion
The Orion is a skyscraper located in New York City's Midtown Manhattan area. The building rises 604 feet (184 m) above street level, containing 58 floors of residential units. Despite being only slightly more than 600 feet (183 m) tall, the residential building has dominated the 42nd Street landscape west of Times Square since its topout in September 2005. This means that the tower has views of New York City in every direction.

New York Marriott Marquis
New York Marriott Marquis Times Square is a Marriott International hotel at 1535 Broadway opened in 1985 and was designed by architect John Portman. It is located in the heart of Times Square at Broadway and 45th Street. The hotel is famous for its high-tech elevators and atrium lobby rising 45 stories to The View, New York's only rooftop revolving restaurant. With 1,949 rooms and over 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m²) of meeting space, it is one of the largest hotels in the city. The Marquis Theatre is located within the hotel at the 3rd floor level.

AXA Center
The AXA Equitable Center (The Equitable Tower or Equitable Center West) is a 752 foot (229.3 m) tall skyscraper located in New York City.

One Astor Plaza
One Astor Plaza is a 745 ft (227 m) high skyscraper in Times Square in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Completed in 1972, the building is 54 stories tall and was designed by Der Scutt of Ely J. Kahn & Jacobs. Originally known as the W. T. Grant Building as the headquarters of now-defunct retailer W. T. Grant Co., it is currently the headquarters for Viacom and houses the MTV Studios, Minskoff Theatre, the Nokia Theatre at Times Square, and some retail outlets. It is located at 1515 Broadway at West 45th Street. Previously, the Astor Hotel occupied the lot.

1500 Broadway
1500 Broadway is a skyscraper, located in Times Square, New York City. The skyscraper was completed in 1972, topping up at 119 meters (392 ft), and has 34 Floors. The 1500 Broadway is across the street from the 4 Times Square which houses the NASDAQ market site tower facility as well aoadcass network brt studio.

Paramount Theatre
The Paramount Theatre was a noted movie palace located at 43rd Street and Broadway in the Times Square district of New York City. Opened in 1926, it was the premiere showcase for Paramount Pictures and also became a popular live performance venue. The theater was closed in 1964 and its space converted to office and retail use. The tower which housed it, known as the Paramount Building located at 1501 Broadway, is still in commercial use as an office building and remains a Times Square landmark.

Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers is a hotel located in New York City near Times Square. Its addresses are 7th Avenue, West 52nd Street, and West 53rd Street. At 501 feet (153 meters), it is one of the world's top 100 tallest hotels, and one of the tallest hotels in New York City. It has 51 floors.

One Worldwide Plaza
One Worldwide Plaza is a 49-story, 1.5 million square feet (139,355 m²), 778-foot (237 m) tall office skyscraper. One Worldwide Plaza is part of a three-building, mixed-use commercial and residential complex in the New York City borough of Manhattan, known collectively as Worldwide Plaza. One Worldwide Plaza is a commercial office tower on Eighth Avenue. Two Worldwide Plaza is a condominium residential tower west of the center of the block, and Three Worldwide Plaza is a low-rise condominium residential building with street level stores on Ninth Avenue, to the west of the towers. The complex occupies an entire city block, bounded by Eighth Avenue, Ninth Avenue, 49th Street, and 50th Street. Located on the west side of Eighth Avenue, One Worldwide Plaza is built on the site of New York City's third Madison Square Garden. The 50th Street subway station is underneath.

Condé Nast Building (4 Times Square)
The Condé Nast Building, officially 4 Times Square, is a modern skyscraper in Times Square in Midtown Manhattan. Located on Broadway between 42nd Street and 43rd, the structure was finished in January 2000 as part of a larger project to redevelop 42nd Street. The building stretches 48 stories to 809 ft (247 m) making it the 12th tallest building in New York City and the 41st tallest in the United States. The size of the tower raised concerns from the city about what impact this sized tower would have on Times Square. The major office space tenants are magazine publishing company Condé Nast Publications and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, a prominent U.S. law firm. Duane Reade is a major retail tenant.

Rockefeller Center
Rockefeller Center or Rockefeller Plaza is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m²) between 48th and 51st streets in New York City, United States. Built by the Rockefeller family, it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, spanning the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.

1585 Broadway
1585 Broadway is the headquarters of Morgan Stanley, on the west side of Broadway, north of Duffy Square in Midtown Manhattan. 1585 Broadway, a 42-story, 1.3 million square-foot (121,000 square-meter) office tower located in New York City's Times Square.

Times Square Plaza, located at 11 Times Square is a 40 story skyscraper in New York City. Completed in 2010, it rises 600 feet (183 meters), tying it for the 87th tallest building in New York City. TKTS booth

Coca-Cola sign

The Times Square Coca-Cola Sign is an electro-kinetic sculpture created in 2004, replacing the famous three-dimensional bottle design that stood for years in the center of Times Square. Built by digital LED display manufacturer Daktronics and titled "Simply Coke," the sign is covered in programmable Light-emitting diodes and allows an array of graphics to be displayed.

Budweiser
Budweiser is a 5.0% abv American-style lager introduced in 1876 by A. Dongand Busch and one of the highest selling beers in the United States. New Year's Eve in Times Square

Times Square is the site of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop. On December 31, 1907, a ball signifying New Year's Day was first dropped at Times Square, and the Square has held the main New Year's celebration in New York City ever since. On that night, hundreds of thousands of people congregate to watch the Waterford Crystal ball being lowered on a pole atop the building (though not to the street, as is a common misconception), marking the new year. It replaced a lavish fireworks display from the top of the building that was held from 1904 to 1906, only to be outlawed by city officials. Beginning in 1908, and for more than eighty years thereafter, Times Square sign maker Artkraft Strauss was responsible for the ball-lowering. During World War II, a minute of silence, followed by a recording of church bells pealing, replaced the ball drop because of wartime blackout restrictions. Today, Countdown Entertainment and One Times Square handle the New Year's Eve event in conjunction with the Times Square Alliance.

A new energy-efficient LED ball, celebrating the centennial of the ball drop, debuted for the arrival of 2008. The 2008/2009-ball, which was dropped on New Year's Eve (Wednesday, December 31, 2008) for the arrival of 2009, is larger and has become a permanent installation as a year-round attraction, being used for celebrations such as Valentine's Day and Halloween. On average, about 1 million revelers crowd Times Square for the New Year's Eve celebrations. However, for the millennium celebration on December 31, 1999, published reports stated approximately two million people overflowed Times Square, flowing from 6th Avenue to 8th Avenue and all the way back on Broadway and Seventh Avenues to 59th Street, making it the largest gathering in Times Square since August 1945 during celebrations marking the end of World War II.

In 1972, Dick Clark began hosting a live half-hour NBC special detailing the event entitled Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which not only aired the descent of the ball, but also performances from popular bands and commentary from various hosts in other cities, notably Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orlando. During the millennium celebrations in 1999, Peter Jennings based ABC's operations in Times Square, hosting ABC 2000 Today.

Times Square is the most visited tourist attractions in the US. It is a major commercial intersection in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. The extended Times Square area, also called the Theater District, consists of the blocks between Sixth and Eighth Avenues from east to west, and West 40th and West 53rd Streets from south to north, making up the western part of the commercial area of Midtown Manhattan.

Formerly named Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed in April 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly erected Times Building, which is now called One Times Square and is the site of the annual ball drop on New Year's Eve. Times Square, nicknamed "The Crossroads of the World" and "The Great White Way," has achieved the status of an iconic world landmark and is a symbol of New York City and the United States.

The theaters of Broadway and the huge number of animated neon and LED signs have long made them one of New York's iconic images, and a symbol of the intensely urban aspects of Manhattan. Times Square is the only neighborhood with zoning ordinances requiring building owners to display illuminated signs. The density of illuminated signs in Times Square now rivals that of Las Vegas. Officially, signs in Times Square are called "spectaculars", and the largest of them are called "jumbotrons." Notable signage includes the Toshiba billboard directly under the NYE ball drop and the curved seven-story NASDAQ sign at the NASDAQ MarketSite at 4 Times Square on 43rd Street and the curved Coca-Cola sign located underneath another large LED display owned and operated by Samsung. Both the Coca-Cola sign and Samsung LED displays were built by LED display manufacturer Daktronics.

The Times Square neighborhood, notably its busiest intersection, has been featured countless times in literature, on television, in films, in music videos and recently in video games. An immediately recognizable setting, Times Square has been frequently attacked and destroyed in a number of movies, including Knowing, when a solar flare destroys New York City, Deep Impact, when a tsunami created from a meteor impact destroys New York City, Stephen King's The Stand, where the intersection is overcome by total anarchy, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Films have also employed the opposite tactic, depicting the typically bustling area as eerily still, such as in Vanilla Sky, as well as the post-apocalyptic I Am Legend, in which Will Smith and his dog go hunting for deer in the deserted urban canyon.
