So you must have heard all the continual talk about niche marketing and may be asking yourself what are the advantages of niche marketing?

The important thing for us internet marketers, is that when we are starting out, a niche market, or a very specialized group looking for specific products works better because, typically, these niche markets are primed and ready to buy, as opposed to very broad groups or markets. One of the best ways to drive traffic to your blog is to start writing articles about your niche and then post them to article directories. Some of the best ones are ezine articles and go articles.

What you do is sign up for the directory, and then go about writing articles. Now, again, as we talked about in the blogging article, you want to make sure you write great content designed around your niche, and getting your readers to feel great about all the quality you are offering.

Then, in your signature file, put in a catchy phrase that will peak the interest of your reader, and direct them to your blog!

Again, I can't stress enough how you must offer great content first, and then draw them to your blog. Once they arrive at your blog, you then impress them with even more great information, and you got them hooked!

chasing 2 rabbits-internet marketing strategy

Okay,

I wanted to take a minute to go back to basics for a minute. so often I hear of people getting ahead of themselves and trying so many things that they inevitabley get upside down or confused or just plain discouraged because they are running in too many directions! I know you would rather work from home than get a job.

The first thing I recommend you doing is chase one rabbit at a time! What does that mean?

Ever see a dog run into a pile of birds and then can't decide which one to go after so he keeps changing his mind between the birds, and eventually all the birds get away and the dog has nothing?

The same thing applies to your internet marketing. Especially if you are new to this, you want to make sure that you pick one item, preferably one that you areVERY PASSIONATE about, and really focus on that one! You will have a better opportunity to connect with that niche.

Don't jump around and keep changing niches. You'll end up with a lot of stuff out there, but odds are that the content will be crap and you won't make any sales.

A few really great sites, landing pages, and articles will pay off dividends in your marketing efforts, and you won't get discouraged!

I came across this article from Rosalind Gardner, one of the internet's best. Online sales are growing....now is the time to get involved in Internet Marketing!

The State of Retailing Online 2007, a study conducted by Forrester Research, Inc., forecasts that online sales will soar again this year.

According to report, 2007 online sales (including travel) are expected to rise 18 percent to $259.1 billion. Sales excluding travel will reach $174.5 billion. This strong growth will come off of an impressive performance in 2006. Online sales last year rose 25 percent to $219.9 billion. Excluding travel, online retail sales rose 29 percent to $146.5 billion, representing six percent of total retail sales in 2006.

Apparel has taken over the top spot in terms of online sales volume. Online clothing sales are forecast to hit $22.1 billion in 2007, and 10 percent of all clothing sales are expected to occur online in 2007.

Why such dramatic growth?

“Retailers are doing such a great job online that in some cases it’s easier to find and buy clothing on the web than it is in a store” said Scott Silverman, the executive director of Shop.org. Free shipping policies, more merchants and making the buying process easier are also responsible for the increases.

Writing On Line Articles: A critique on writing on line articles

I got an email today from someone who was concerned about their internet marketing and writing on line articles.

They were asking about content and when writing on line articles, how they should go about it. I actually get alot of people asking about this, so i thought I'd write a little about it here today.

The end end result of writing on line articles is to get someone to click on your link, and then have them buy something from you. So, you need to think like the person you are writing your online article for. If you were reading an article that was written, what would you expect ?

My advice is to really try to put some great content in the article. When you are writing on line articles, your article is the "give." and you should give freely. REally provide some good information to the reader. When writing on line articles, you should have done your research, and if you can't think of anything good to offer, then you need to do more research.

Don't WRITE garbage!

Then, when your article is done, and you want to get the reader to really click through in your resource bio line, come up with a killer teaser line that gets the reader hungry to click your link!

An example of a great one for writing on line articles is this...say you write a how to article on 5 tips. Then in your sig line, add in "For 10 more tips on ... Click this link!" See how that gets the reader wanting to go for more?

So success lies in the give, BEFORE you take! Also-Remember to keep your key words evenly peppered through out when writing on line articles. and, when you can, bold the keywords!

Wealthy Affiliate University 3.0 New Upgrade and review.

Wealthy Affiliate University, one of the largest online internet marketing membership websites has just released it’s newest upgrade, the 3.0 Version. The founders Kyle and Carson have taken comments for improvements as well the need for more space due to it’s large subscriber base and made 2008 a year to remember. Here are some of the changes to the new feel and version.

What to expect on the new version?

Brand New Server: As the subscriber base grew, time out issues were getting larger, and the free web hosting had been having problems with space requirements. Wealthy Affiliate University 3.0 is running on a brand new server that has lots of speed and memory to handle it’s current tools, as well as the new ones that are have planned for 2008. I feel that this additional space will have a significant impact on hosting and value of the service.

A New Look: The new look that Wealthy Affiliate University 3.0 provides a fresh modern feel to the members area. The learning resources have been re arranged and a quick launch bar along the top of the page so users can browse to the most used tools and resources with a click of a button. The new look is easier to browse. Version 2.0 had one way to access the different areas, but the new 3.0 has at least 2 ways to access all areas, the dashboard being one.

New Dashboard: New to Wealthy Affiliate University is a personal dashboard so that users can keep current with events, actions, new resources and tools. Included on the dashboard are "modules" that you can drag / drop and organize to look the way you want them. These modules track anything from Forum activity, to the top Clickbank products and WA job postings. With the dashboard becoming an important tool for user interface, this new addition proves to be a solid move.

Site Wide Search: Previously there was no tool on version 2.0. With Wealthy Affiliate University 3.0, the site wide search will grab all resources at Wealthy Affiliate based on a query and you can expect to find exactly what you are looking for. One of the problems with 2.0 was that you had to manually hunt and peck for information. The new search provides relevant information in seconds.

Resource Updates: As the Internet evolves, resources and tutorials have to be updated to include the newest techniques and strategies. Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 resources have been fully revised and rewritten to reflect the current changes in the internet marketing community. Having joined in November 2007, there were resources and lessons referencing outdated tools like overture word search. All outdated topics have been removed.

New Forum: One of the most used and important part of the membership is the forum. This is the heart of Wealthy Affiliate University. Membership feedback has been taken to heart and there is a new look and feel to the forum. The new forum looks a lot different but adds many new features and upgrades. For current users that preferred the old look, the “old skin” is available.

Log out issues resolved: Previously the 2.0 version would time out, kicking users out and having to relog on. Wealthy Affiliate 3.0 handles login much better and will keep you logged in as long as you have your browser open and are active. You do not have to worry about being logged out while you are in the middle of typing a message in the forum.

Future Updates: Wealthy Affiliate University has revealed that this new version will actually be a one year launch. With so many tools planned, the site will need to roll them out sequentially over the course of the year. Plans are that membership will not require the need for any other resources or internet tools. The new platform has been designed to hold and offer the most complete service to Internet marketers anywhere online.

Overall: The new look and feel works. The key benefits are the ease of navigation, and the improvements in server issues. Having always provided useful actionable tools, I expect that the site will provide ongoing value with the new version.

HYPNOTIZE and get SALES!!!

If you've been reading my blog, and the articles, you will know that internet marketing is about solving people's problems.

If you can connect people with a problem with the solution, you will ultimately be able to sell more product, and get more sales.

There is one thing that needs to happen, though, and that is you have to communicate in a way to get the person with the problem to feel good and be in the buying mode. One way to do that is to communicate to them in your ad copy.

As an internet marketer, you need to be savvy about what you write to ignite the emotions of the person so they want to buy your product.

One of the people I've worked with likes to say, you need to identify the wound, then poke it a little, put some salt in it so they go Oouch! Then empathize with them, get them on your side, and finally, close the sale.

I've always been interested in copy writing, and the power of influence, and just finished reading a great book called.. Buying Trances. By Joe Vitale. Joe is an awesome guy. His writing is very easy to follow, and his insight into the human condition is amazing. He was one of the guys featured on "The Secret."

Being a Hypnosis fan and expert marketer, Joe has written a book about how we are all really walking around in our own trances and it can be tough to break a person out of the trance long enough to get their attention.

In the book, he tells you exactly how to do that, and gives examples of how to write persuasive copy to get to the sale.

Once I started reading the book, I didn't put it down until I finished it! The writing style is soo smooth....If you are serious about internet marketing, this is something you need to read!

If you cannot write to be persuasive, you will have challenges in your internet marketing career.

What if you just earned 5 bucks a day?

Instead of chasing for big profits it's easier just to go for smaller business projects - each earning you 5 dollars a day. Each week you find a 5 dollar project, that you can finish before the end of the week. How's That for gradual and successful internet marketing?

Let's say you manage to make 52 of these projects during the next 12 months. If only 50% of the projects are profitable you'll still have 26 projects earning you at least $5 a day - that's $47,450 a year. If I only manage to make 1 profitable project a month that's 12 x $5 x 365 - $21.900 a year. Suddenly it seems possible to make some extra money or even a full time income on the internet.

Make Money On Line?

Why did you decide that you want to make money online with internet marketing???

How many of you out there are taking the steps to make money on line?

What caused you to decide? Take the poll! check it out on the left side of the blog.

For many, it was the attraction of multilevel marketing...for others it was the idea that you could make fast money and then spend the rest of your time sitting on the beach relaxing...

Either way, if you are looking to make money online, then you going to have to come to terms that no matter what method you use, you are going to have to learn how to get organic traffic. When you figure out how to get that organic traffic, then you will be ready to figure out your monetization method.

Either you use adsense, or affiliates, or paid sponsors.

So what do you think about internet marketing? Do you think this is a way to or vialble way for how kids make money? If taught early and they start young, imagine what they could have in 20 years!

low competition keyword phrase

Hey all,

You may have just read the usfreeads post and are not sure what a low competition keyword phrase is....

Basically, it is a set of keywords that there is low competition for on the internet search engines.

The way you find them is...Go into your search engine, and in quotations, type in your phrase....

Example... go into google...Type..."eliminate dog odors" and hit search. The number of results on the top right hand side of the page is how many pages are optimized for that key word phrase.

When you have decided what your niche is, then you start to look for related low competition keyword phrases, and if you find good ones with 5000 or less results, and you also see adwords ads in the right column, you may have a good phrase to write a usfreeads ad for.

Make sure you use that phrase in the title of you ad, then use the phrase 5-6 more times in the ad, and make sure it is the last phrase on the bottom of the ad. Highlight the phrase and bold it too. Use this method for your internet ads, and see results.

When the Google Spyders crawl, they will see the bold phrase, and think, "hmm, this site must be relevant." And since you have searched a phrase that is under 5000. You have a serious shot at making it to the top of the search for that phrase!

Hey all you newcomers! For those of you looking for ways to get your business going with out a whole lot of funds to work with, and you can't afford or are too new to try Pay Per Click Marketing, you should take a look at using USFREEads as a way to get your affiliate marketing out there.

USfreeads is a classfied listing site that allows you to put up ads that get listed in the search engines. Now the neat thing is that USFREEads is owned by google, so they give value to the contents of the ads being placed. How's that for internet marketing?

If you target low competition keyword phrases, you can actually get your ads ranked up on the first page, even first position on the organic ranking side of the search results!

With a membership, that is about $9 a month, you can post unlimited ads! I try to post 10 ads a day, and if I can get an average of $20 per ad per day, which is one sale, I can make about $2000 per month just on these ads.

Keep in mind, you need to find niches that people are buying, but assuming you found one, or two, and wrote 3 ads per day, you would be up to 90 ads in one month!

Couple of things you want to make sure you do...get the premium account for $9 a month...and post unlimited ads, and they will renew for an unlimited amount of time!

With over 200 ads out there right now, renewing every 40 days, $9 a month is quite possibly the best return on investment I have on any campaign!

Relevant Content, Relevant Content, Relevant Content

Today we are going to talk a little bit about relevance. Google loves internet marketing and relevance!

If this is the first time you are hearing this term, get used to it, because this term is going to be one of the key things you need to understand if you plan on becoming successful.

Many Newbie Internet Marketers think that the product is the key to sales. While the product needs to be a good one, it doesn’t matter if the page that your audience lands on is not relevant-meaning, it has nothing to do, or little to do with the product.

If you are looking for purple fuzzy slippers, and the site comes up talking about natural dog food, you end up leaving…that is because natural dog food is not what you were looking for. Sounds like common sense, but this is a mistake that is made by so many newbie internet marketers.

When you come up with your campaign, you need to make sure that your keywords are relevant. “Make money” may seem like a relevant keyword for internet marketing, but it may not be relevant if your person is looking for a e-book on internet marketing. “Internet Marketing e-book” would be a relevant key word group.

If you are going to use an ad campaign, you need to make sure your keyword group has relevance. Keep it to no more than 25 keywords. Anything more and your ad group risks losing relevance. Make sure the ad attached to the keywords is relevant to the keywords and the product.

Next, you need to make sure your landing page has relevance. Back to the e-book on internet marketing. Your landing page should be key word rich, but not grossly so…the page should read naturally. And then make sure the content is rich with meaningful information. Maybe the e-book page has a great review on it outlining all the benefits of the book. Remember, you are preselling, getting your reader ready to buy.

Lastly, make sure that your product is very relevant to the customer!

If you follow the golden rule of relevancy, get ready to see the dollars grow!

Creating Abundance in Your life.

Ever wonder why it is that some people seem to have it all, while others are constantly in a state of struggle?

It’s all your state of mind! If you are not familiar with the law of attraction, or the power of intent, you may not be aware that what ever is foremost in your stream of thoughts and consiousness is what becomes reality. Ever hear the saying, your thoughts become your reality?

You see, what goes on in your head over and over, has a very powerful effect of the outcomes in your life. No matter HOW you think about something, whether positive or negative, you will attract into your life. What ever your focus on is what you bring into reality. If you are thinking about how great things are and you can FEEL the prosperity in your being, and you feel great, then more of that will follow. Like wise, if you are feeling lousy, or like you are never successful, then that is also what will become reality.

Be aware of what you focus on! Remember, your psyche doesn’t distinguish between good and bad, just the subject matter itself. If you are focusing on the fact that you don’t want to LOSE money, then you will lose money. That’s because lose money is the subject. Instead of thinking about losing money, focus on making money. A little goal setting will also help.

As a newbie internet marketer, you can get discouraged. You start to doubt yourself. Gradually that spirals into how you are a failure, and then you quit. See how the simple doubt grew into a series of replaying thoughts and then you got what you were thinking about…failure.

Now flip the mindset. Get up every day and find a place in your inner core that feels good. Be thankful for the things that you have and that are coming. Spend your time thinking about ways to improve your situation. When you feel doubt coming up, recognize it, then dismiss it and move on to something else that feels better.

Your mind cannot think about two things at the same time. By being aware of your thoughts, you can powerfully change what goes around in your head, and by doing so, attract more of the things that you want in your life!
