Melbourne Fashion Week- Designer Series / Runway 1

2012-09-04T22:01:00.001+03:00

Tonight, for the 1st time in my life, i had the chance to attend an Australian Designers' Catwalk. I have to admit that i'm really impressed!

The event was very organized and different from the other i had seen so far. The volunteers were disciplined and helpful. All the designers presented pieces from their collections together. I found that great as i am used so far to individual shows that made us come in and out of the showroom all the time and ''fight'' for a seat. But of course, such things don't happen in Australia, since our tickets had seat numbers.

The ticket

Plus, i loved the idea that all the show was under the styling of one Fashion Stylist (Peter Simon Phillips) and that was obvious as well at hair & make up. One highlight of the night was the live orchestra that played among the designers' part and it was amazing!

The whole show was exquisite. I loved the runway, it was like a luxury aisle. The creations were fantastic, all designers are really talented. Regarding the trends, cream, green and flashy colours are back in fashion. Medal cups at shoes are a must since almost all the designers used them. Linen, metallics and transparent material are the highlights of the upcoming spring. Οf course peplum tops were there too.

Wow bathrooms!

2012-09-04T09:06:00.001+03:00

The bathroom has to be not only clean but also beautiful as it's the place we take our bath and we relax. A white one probably would be boring and make us sleepy. Don't be afraid of adding colour and style. It will be your favourite room from now on :)

Why? Why did i miss such shows? This doesn't happen every day! Sweden Fashion is obviously alternative, out of the box, impressive! I'm so speechless that i'm not sure if i admire it or hate it :s One is for sure: Designers are in the spirit of global economical crisis!!! (lol)

Christian Dior is one of my favourites labels! It's always classy and chic. The thing is that in Semi Hemisphere we are now welcoming Spring when in the rest of the planet they are getting ready for Fall. But at the same time Resort 2013 is ready! :S What should i publish? So, i chose one photo of each collection (RTW) and you can understand the trend, regarding where you are!

Kitchen is the kingdom of every housewife as it's the place where she cooks all the delicious meals! A boring white kitchen does not inspire anyone. Don't hesitate to use colours and style in that special room. There are so many ideas anyway!

Singing Butterfly!

2012-08-30T17:17:00.001+03:00

Tonight i had the chance to attend for the 1st time in Melbourne, to a fantastic alternative musical at Butterfly Club! My colleague Kathleen has studied music theatre and she participates in that show with her mates. I enjoy the songs and the acting so much and i was so moved and thrilled that i actually wanted to be on the scene, me as well. Somehow my wish came true,
since, when the protagonists came off the scene and started dancing among the audience, Kathleen-excited and inspired by her role- dropped accidently her cocktail glass on my head-loool! The glass smashed on my head-thank God she had drunk most of the cocktail and the glasses injured my finger, not too much, it was just some bleeding... One of the actors said in theatrical tone ''we have a bleeder- and i took the chance and relpied at the same tone ''Omg, i'm dying!''! I think i overdid it though, as the audience believed me and then i had to whisper them that it was a part of the show (not but who cares?)

Back to the musical, it was random pieces, really funny, full with love, memories and every day moments that create our unique life! I left the show room with a smile. Finally music & theater make our life better; we all know that but we need to tell ourselves every day!

Regarding the hosting club, it is an amazing place! Finally a place with personality! So arty, so ethnic, so vintage, so european. I will definitely visit it again soon. For now, i have to remove the glasses from my boots :)

* There is another one performance tomorrow night and during weekend Cabaret Musical! The tickets are really cheap, don't miss it!

The purple wedding!

2012-07-25T15:43:00.001+03:00

I'm sick of seing anywhere hot pink and turqoise wedding decorations! Enough! There are so many other nice colours.. Lilac and purple is very warm colour that can inspire every prospective bride. My favourite cousin soon will get marry and her best colour is purple. I don't know yet if she will use it- i think she doesn't either, but i found in many websites beautiful ideas for a...purple wedding! Why not?

Είναι κουραστικό να βλέπεις παντού φούξια και τυρκουάζ χρώματα σε γάμους! Φτάνει πια! Υπάρχουν τόσα πολλά και όμορφα άλλα χρώματα... Το λιλά και το μωβ είναι ένα πού θερμό χρώμα που μπορεί να εμπνεύσει κάθε υποψήφια νύφη. Η αγαπημένη μου ξαδέρφη θα παντρευτεί σύντομα και το αγαπημένο της χρώμα είναι το μωβ. Δεν ξέρω ακόμα αν θα το χρησιμοποιήσει -πιστεύω ούτε και αυτή ξέρει ακόμα, αλλά βρήκα σε πολλές ιστοσελίδες όμορφες ιδέες για έναν...μωβ γάμο! Γιατί όχι;

Garden Wedding

2012-05-23T05:00:00.000+03:00

It's different, it's fun, it's casual, it's picturesque, it's lovely and for sure unforgettable! Garden Wedding is always a friendly way to have fun and not to stay at the basics. I found at many blogs (especially at styleme pretty) many pictures to inspire you!
