I don’t have any bald spots or anything but I’ve been losing a LOT of hair lately, probably from combination stress and thyroid disease. I’ve just noticed that it falls out in massive proportions and it’s thinned out quite a bit. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good hair restoration products that really work. Please let me know of your experiences and recommendations. All answers are greatly appreciated.

Hi Ashley, the best way to deal with your problem is to treat the root cause of your hair loss problem. If it is due to hypothyroidism, then proper treatment of that underactive thyroid usually solves the problem. I mean, I started experiencing hair at 15 or 16 and back in high school, so-called cool teens made crack jokes of my receding hairline.

How often do young men under 18 experience hair loss? How often do they face harassment from high school so-called cool teens? How often do you see or hear that?

PS: This will be my final question on this section and I won’t contribute on here no more.

most of the time its’ hereditary, but im not sure where it starts…but really, its hereditary from your mothers side, so if your dad is bald, it really doesnt matter, but look at your moms uncles and her dad and ask when they started going bald

Can biotin increase hair loss?

My mom and I started taking biotin + a daily multivitamin two weeks ago to make our hair stronger and healthier. Both of us have noticed more hair loss in just two weeks. Is this normal for the beginning – are they just old hairs? Should we stop taking biotin?

I am 16 years old and have had a lot of hair loss. My scalp is visible, and it makes me feel very self consious. I have worried about it for so long, and shouldn’t have to.

its not a hormone related problem, because my levels were tested. i looked at the effect of taking estrogen but i still want to know if could i get estrogen pills to stop hair loss? and would more hair grow in or would my existing hair just grow faster? also would all the hair fall out if i stopped taking the pills?

Why spend the money? Many women these days find bald men attractive. Save the money, shave your head and start having fun. It’s not whats on the outside that matters, it’s what’s on the inside. So, try what I suggested, and see what a difference it makes….

My mom is beginning to get a few really thin spots. I had been having her use Nioxin because I am very familiar with the success rate, but it is NOT helping her. I do not want ther using chemicals that enter your blood stream via the scalp AKA: Rogaine etc.

I have quite thick curly black hair and over the past year I’ve noticed it getting a little thinner around the front and back. This is mostly apparent when I wear my hair down (like Tom Welling), however when I’ve kept it up (which looks something like an afro) i’ve noticed less hair loss.

I don’t know if there’s a link between wearing your hair up and preventing more hair loss this way or not, but I would love to find out what the best hair-maintenance styles for men with curly hair are in light of the above

Use mens rogaine it helps my dad wonders lol
