The 2012 Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge was amazing.

We had over 550,000 online viewers tuning in to watch over 500 gamers from over 15 different states, for over $10,000 in only two days!!!

That sentence really says it all, but of course, we have TIPGC 2012 highlights all over the place. Along with some neat external media coverage in print and online, tournament results, an event recap from the Tournament Director, and TIPGC 2012 Photos can all be found over on the dedicated event website: www.IowaProGamingChallenge.com. The 2012 Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge is March 17-18, 2012!

The video game community is already buzzing, as #TIPGC on Twitter is blowing up and www.IowaProgamingChallenge.com is being updated all the time.

Team Registration for 4v4 MW3, Gears of War 3, and Halo Reach goes online January 1st, so get your teams ready for TIPGC and we'll see you March 2012!

2011 was a year that was marked by a turning point for The Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge, another year of growth on www.GatheringofGamers.com, and numerous video game events all around the country. We also have been enjoying a fresh flavor on our company website and are eager to see what 2012 brings...especially as TIPGC 2012 was recently announced, which we'll highlight with a dedicated post soon.

We want to tank all those who have been a part of this year's success, but also to the hundreds (if not thousands) of people we've collaborated with since 2007.

After attending E3 the last three years, Jet Set Studio will unfortunately not be attending E3 2011 to cover the convention for our video game community. This has been a highlight in years past, as we showcased E3 2008, E3 2009, and E3 2010 for the members on www.GatheringofGamers.com.

Along with all the new game titles such as Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3, it will be interesting to watch for Nintendo's big news on their new console, how Sony will make up for their huge PSN security breach, and if Microsoft can stay ahead of the storm. Along with all the new video game information, we'll especially miss the industry after parties!

It's a sad day, but we will be back in LA for E3 2012.

Combo Breaker 2011

Two weeks after The Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge, BEN jumped up to Minnesota to commentate the live stream for both of the shooter game divisions at Combo Breaker 2011.

This was a smaller video game event, but the live stream was the big story. We took the viewer count from 134,000 (which was the one-day total from TIPGC 2011), to an amazing 836,000 viewers on the Focus Fire Justin.TV Channel! BEN commentated the main stage gameplay, while also conducting numerous community interviews.

We've enhanced our company website with a fresh look and added functionality! We're excited about the opportunity to keep our community more updated on our video game event management and online advertising opportunities. With the new structure, more content, and a fresh design, we had to shift some of the page URLs so be sure to make sure that all your inbound links are updated.

Along with a few interactive plugins such as a Facebook commenting area, one of the neatest pages of this redesigned website is the Video Game Event Management page. It only scratches the surface of the work we've managed since 2007, but it is a nice outline of a few unique video game events that we've developed.

In an effort to provide the best opportunity for our event sponsors at The 2011 Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge next March, we've announced plans to showcase our sponsors on each gaming station at this event.
