<description>The daughter of a patient at Epsom Hospital has collected and donated 50 paintings to the hospital in memory of her mother. Stephanie Newark from Epsom decided to donate paintings to be hung in the single rooms in the wards of the hospital following the sad death of her 91 year old mother, Olive, who was a patient at Epsom several times and who spent much of her time there in single rooms.</description>

Known as a camera stack, the machine is used in performing keyhole surgery. It cost £42,000 and was donated to the hospital by the Epsom Medical Equipment Fund.</description>

<title>Help is at hand for hearing-impaired patients</title>
<description>Local residents who are hearing-impaired are likely to find communicating with staff at Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals easier from now on. That's because the Disability Information Centre Epsom (DICE) - a service based at Epsom Hospital - has recently purchased three portable hearing loops for patients to use when visiting the hospitals.</description>

The room means that patients with severe respiratory illnesses, such as tuberculosis (TB) can be isolated from other people, preventing it from spreading to other patients.</description>
