Whole interface is really easy to use. Everything just seems more organized in the sidebar rather than the six icons in earlier versions. I personally just because you do not need an unlock code to install.

Blackberry Desktop Manager 6 home screen is much nicer than the old Desktop Manager. You feel more heat in this new interface.

As expected, Google announced that the next iteration of its Android OS for smart phones would be targeted largely at tablets and other devices with larger screen sizes. Due in the first quarter of 2011, this new release, dubbed "Honeycomb," or Android OS 3.0, features a refined user interface, improved multitasking and notifications, new customization features, and more.

"Honeycomb is the next version of the Android platform, designed from the ground up for devices with larger screen sizes, particularly tablets," Google vice president Andy Rubin wrote in a blog post announcement that was timed to coincide with the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). "We've spent a lot of time refining the user experience in Honeycomb, and we’ve developed a brand new, truly virtual and holographic user interface."

While Google acknowledges that it is trailing Apple by entering the tablet market a year after the iPad, it claims that Honeycomb-based tablets won't just be big versions of phones, like the iPad. Instead, Google is offering an experience that is custom designed for the bigger form factor. "Our tablet experience will be better, not just bigger," Google engineer Mike Cleron says.

Google even does Apple one better from a minimalistic perspective: Honeycomb-based tablets require no hardware buttons at all. Instead, software buttons appear onscreen, and rotate correctly as the device is rotated so that a bottom row of buttons will always be on the bottom of the screen.

At 4.2 inches, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is one of the biggest smartphones yet, and despite being pretty skinny, it’s one for big pockets only. The Nokia C7, on the other hand, features a more pocket-friendly 3.5-inch screen, along with a slimline casing of its own.

Camera
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the Nokia C7 are closely matched when it comes to photography, with both handsets sporting 8-Megapixel cameras. Both are capable of shooting HD video content as well.

Operating systems
The Nokia C7 comes with Nokia’s latest Symbian ^3 OS, while the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features the latest version of Android. Both operating systems have their pros and cons – while Android currently has more apps on offer, the Ovi Store is catching up quickly, and we also like the greater power efficiency on offer from Symbian ^3.

NavigationBoth the Nokia C7 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc feature integrated GPS, but for navigation we’d take the Nokia C7 every time. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc does get Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation, but it’s no match for Nokia’s Ovi Maps service – a class leading product that can easily rival stand-alone GPS devices.

ScreenThe Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc comes out top if you’re after a high-res screen, but then again at 4.2 inches – one of the largest smartphone displays currently available – it’s no surprise. The Nokia C7 has less pixels – at 640 x 320 vs 854 x 480, – but it’s not something that’s overly noticeable until you look very closely at the AMOLED panel.

StorageAlong with 8GB of internal storage, the Nokia C7 also supports microSD cards of up to 32GB. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is firmly beaten in this respect, offering just 512MB of internal storage to suppliment external microSD cards.

AT&T and Samsung Mobile have announced the new Infuse 4G smartphone at a conference before the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 kick-starts. Running Google Android 2.2 Froyo, Infuse 4G shows off its massive 4.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display. The smartphone seems to be the Samsung Galaxy S successor and joins the league of all 4G Network supporting Android devices due for this year 2011.

Samsung Infuse 4G sports a 9mm slim profile and thereby pushes back the LG Optimus Black by 0.2mm. Infuse 4G sports a 4.5-inch display made with next-generation Super AMOLED Plus technology that accommodates 50 percent more sub-pixels for better contrast and readability outside under sunlight.

Infuse 4G houses a 1.2GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor and will run Google Android 2.2 Froyo. Of course, the phone is capable of running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the update can be expected later. For imaging, this phone packs an 8-megapixel camera that would be capable of recording 720p HD video and also a 1.3 megapixel VGA camera at the front, usable for video call/chat. Supporting the HSPA+CAT14 network, this smartphone promises up to 21Mbps data speeds on 4G networks
