The event was held within Kelvin Hall Glasgow and had 7 teams take Part representing 6 Companies from the Battalion. As a result the competition was conducted by having a single league format with result places decided by league position.

3rd Johnstone A were crowned winners with 12 points with 15th Paisley in second place 4 points behind.

Well done to everyone involved.

Well done to the 1st Kilbarchan who topped the league with 8 points. 16th Paisley (7 points) and 24th Paisley (6 points) were close behind in send and third place respectivly.

The event was held with in St Andrews Trinity Church Elm Drive Johnstone with 2 Junior and 4 Senior teams representing 4 Companies from the Battalion.

This year also two teams from 1st West Kilbride take part in the Open Competition although they will not count in terms of the Championship.

The event was held within Linwood Sports centre Linwood and had 20 teams take Part representing 11 Companies from the Battalion. As a result the competition was conducted by having 4 leagues, the winners going into a knockout , semi finals and a final with the third place being contested by the losers of the semi finals.

On Saturday 4th December, eleven Seniors boys braved the weather to take part in a battle. The event was part of the Seniors programme and proved to be popular.

The next seniors event will be in Spring 2011 with a trip to Alton Towers.

Volleyball Competitions

The event was held in Renfrew Sports Centre Newmains Road Renfrew and had 5 teams take part representing 4 Companies from the Battalion. As a result the competition was conducted by having a single league format . 4 teams who had entered withdrew on night.

Following playoffs, 3rd Johnstone A were crowned champions, after a three way tie with 15th Paisley B, 2nd Barrhead.

Senior Basketball

The event was held in Renfrew Sports Centre Newmains Road Renfrew and had 9 Companies from the Battalion enter however two withdrew at the last minute. As a result the competition was conducted by having a single league, the places being sorted by league position.

Battalion Parade

Following a number of representations, the Battalion Executive has agreed to change the date of the Battalion Parade to Sunday 13th March 2011. This date is not ideal, but it is seen as the Sunday which creates least controversy during the months of March and April. Full details of the Parade to Kilbarchan West Church will be issued nearer the time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to the Company Calendar of Events.

Junior Basketball

Five Companies entered this years Junior Basketball Competition, which was held on Monday 25th October at Renfrew Sports Centre. The competition was conducted on a league basis with 1st Kilbarchan being crowned winners, finishing only one point ahead of the second placed team, 3rd Johnstone. Well to everyone involved.

Companies are reminded that entries for this Saturdays Cross Country should be submitted as soon as possible.

Crafts 4YR Company

Battalion Parade

The Battalion Executive have accepted the invitation of the 1st Kilbarchan Company to hold this sessions Battalion Parade. The parade will be to Kilbarchan West Church and will be held on Sunday 17th April 2011, forming part of the 1st Kilbarchan's 75th Anniversary celebrations.

The Battalion Executive are now seeking invitations to host the Battalion Parade in 2012. Please contact the Battalion Secretary in your Company is interested.

Civic Reception

This years Civic Reception was held in Paisley Abbey on Monday 6th September in honour of everyone who gained their Queen's Badge last session. The Provost Celia Lawson inspected all Queen's Badge and Duke of Edinburgh Gold award winners.

Due to a number of issues this years Cross Country competition has been cancelled. The CS committee has decided to award all companies who entered maximum points.

Any boy wishing to represent the Battalion at the National Cross Country Competition are asked to inform your Captain or contact Battalion HQ.

This years volleyball competition took place on Wednesday 10th February.

The event was held with in Lagoon Leisure Centre Paisley with eight teams taking part, representing seven Companies. The competition was conducted by having 2 leagues, the 2 winners and runners up going into the semi finals and a final with the third place being contested by the losers of the semi finals.

Congratulations to the winners - 3rd Johnstone.

Christian Faith Competition

The Christian Faith competition took place on Sunday 6th December at Laigh Kirk. Nine teams took part in the Junior competition, while seven teams particiapted in the senior event. 1st Elderslie won the Junior Competition with a score of forty points, two more than second place 1st Neilston.

In the Senior event, 15th Paisley also scored forty points, two points more than second place 2nd Barrhead.

Well done to eveyone!
