NARCOMS – Global Multiple Sclerosis Patient Registry for research, MS treatment and patient education.

Once you are registered with this registry, you are invited 4 times a year to record your "progression" along the Multiple Sclerosis road of life. You are given a non-identifiable number when you submit your information into the international registry .

Once completing a survey, you can go back over your previous answers for all the surveys you have done and can print them out for your local MS team so that they can share in your treatment options and they can see the progression since your last visit. The researchers behind the online registry never know the identities behind the numbers, but they do ask for your zip or postal code for trends within "localized" areas.

The information you present benefits the whole macro community of MS patients. When researchers gather information from a large community they can see trends in the disease (and deduce local influences etc) and make educated recommendations to MS professionals in your area to benefit your treatment and others who visit those professionals.

Stem Cell research

Perhaps a side effect of MS could be a slight PSI boost. I have always predicted that Stem Cells will be the eventual cure to many conditions affecting the human race... Stem cells are the building blocks of our body. They form in the placenta as we develop in the womb and are carried through the umbilical cord to our embryonic selves. These cells, it has been discovered are produced by the body through all stages in our lives.

The PSI Boost of MS seems to be a good theory, Many researchers have similar thoughts. The MS Society has been active in researching Stem cells as a treatment to Multiple Sclerosis. When research first began, It quickly became a controversial treatment as the stem cells were originally discovered and harvested by conducting autopsies on miscarried or aborted fetuses. Later research has found these valuable cells throughout the human body in all stages of life and the horrors of the initial research has faded into the mists of time. These cells have been called "the building blocks of humanity.

These cells have shown promise in aiding to repair the internal damage caused by the effects of Multiple sclerosis, by having the ability to regrow cells needed to "manufacture" new Myelin. Myelin is the sheath that covers nerves and allows signals from the brain to reach "disabled" parts of the body. It is also where the damage and disability comes in with MS. If you have the twisted veins and you expend the required amount of life savings towards your health in an aggressive untested CCVSI procedure. why would you continue to smoke tobacco? Makes no sense to me. Quit now please. "How?" you question.
Simple. Just walk away. Or roll if CCVSI did not do as you fully expected. Dispose of that pack of cigarettes in an environmentally friendly way, toss those smokeless products far into the proper landfills and QUIT SMOKING! Let the procedure work to the best of its' ability. I know. It is easy for me to say It is not really all that easy. 5 years and 6 months later, I still feel the urge for a cigarette. Regardless of ability or lack thereof QUIT NOW! Kids don't start! GAWD I NEED ONE NOW! QUIT IT!

Oh yea. OK the urge does pass fast. That darn MonSter is bothered by tobacco smoke. It loves Marijuana smoke though. That also has been shown to be a common factor in newly diagnosed patients; that darn addiction to tobacco. Marijuana use increses the longer one has lived with the MonSter. Sounds like good advice to me... :) I should research History of MS in the near future. Drug Companies have been profiting for years. When everything is reveled people 100 years from now will mention our names and medical conditions with a look of disbelieving remembrance. There will be laws in place to prevent things from happening in every condition. Till then however, survive and adapt.... and "Don't waste medical research money chasing unicorns "

CCVSI only opens the veins and allows proper blood flow from the brain. It helps but is only one part of the cure. It does not repair the damage done to the nerves. Myelin is the covering around the nerves, insulating the signals to various parts of the body. When MS strips it, signals (similar to electrical impulses) that tell the eyes to see, the hand to grip, the legs to move can "short circuit" and cause disability. The Myelin Repair foundation is working on finding this part of the cure. Based out of the United States of America, MRF is making progress on a global scale. For a select few this may work. It is also a relaxation technique so give this a try.

Also, check out "Binaural Beats". Perhaps have this video open in the background as you practice this Astral Projection thingy below. Binaural beats are not mutant vegetables or a form of abuse they are sound waves that are theorized to be "tuned" to the silent noises the flowing of neurotransmitters make when signaling their receptors. Just like Marijuana, Certain noises do different things. Do not use while moving in any independent fashion while experiencing this or any procedure involving relaxation or astral projection. Be wary of online advice for Medical problems

Persons affected by MS can generally be found online studying the disease and will sometimes appear to know more about the condition then medical professionals that treat it. In many cases it is best to take a proactive approach to your medical treatment however it defeats the purpose when your symptoms could be from MS or another cause...

For example, you feel a tightness in your chest area and look online for an MS cause. You may find information on the MS Hug and write it off as a simple thing. But if you had looked further, it warned that a heart attack could be forthcoming and if you went to see your doctor he could have prevented that fatal attack that happened as you were resting from the "Hug". Keep an open line of communication between you and your medical support team. Never blame everything on MS!!! That is a last resort when it has been proven that nothing else is the problem.

In addition, you can "buy a car for a buck" (a paper facsimile of an actual classic car) to sign and post on their wall, the entire loony will be donated to the MS Society!
What a delicious way to help our fight against this MonSter!!! Remember to stop by a Canadian A&W Restaurant on August 26th and enjoy the cars and the Teen burger. You are welcome at any time before or after the promotion to enjoy great food and beverages too!

An important point to remember for August 26th, you must pay full price for the Teen Burger for the donation. The coupons will be honored however the purchase won't go to the promotion if you use it that day.

On the people side of things at the Self Help Group, we talk a lot about wellness. It is the general feeling in the group that Pharmaceutical and Wellness do not belong in the same conversation. We feel it is always best if you can deal with your pain without artificial pain killers if you are able to.
Most Opiates have been proven to be harmful to your health and well-being and in the long run that does contribute to our overall wellness.

Check out this website demonstrating alternative therapies for your health. You might as well live a comfortable non-addicted life with 0MS; it could be with you a long time! Speaking of that, spare a life (including your own) and help reduce the air pollution in PG... Quit smoking, drive life sober, with a reasonably cheerful attitude day and night is along the lines of a wellness direction... Addictions suck! At least Weed is a wellness product *grin* It is a non-pharmaceutical product too and that could save the world in the long run. C'mon next generation- Grow up fast and bring Hemp into the economy!

MS and a life misspent "Hopping through several northern British Columbia communities and now I have to breath this city's air just as my life slowed down. Sigh so much more them MS could have hit me. It will be challenging enough to ride comfortably to the end without fighting the pain of a slow drawn out death someday from a related challenge from any source, particularly the long slow drawn out deaths of the legal toxins. Course I may still get something along what looks like will be a sliding slip into the grave far down the road.

Marijuana is wellness product in that definition :) I read someplace that it has never killed anyone other then the Stoned drivers to an extent but I am sure way more boozed or chemically altered personalities behind the wheel kill way more. Tobacco has too! Do not become inebriated or use tobacco in any way while in a moving vehicle. Email me if you think Marijuana should be a subject covered by our Wellness Event held here in Prince George BC .

Do not change or stop medication dosage & schedule already prescribed by a qualified physician. We cannot stress enough how important that is. If you decide to try anything on any website or blogs, even ours, be sure to discuss this plan in detail with your all of your medical support team! This is Canadian I am sure, the MS Society of Canada is behind this Canadain Multiple Sclerosis "Question and Answer" domain. In reading the question and it's answer I am assuming that it is in no way connected to British Columbia Provincial or your Canada Pension Plan benefits. Any mention to "Government" in the question refers to the plan's people of power. Taxes are mentioned as they are affected by any review that changes your income (no mater the source) as we all must pay our dues.

5 years till the future hits us? Can you hold out that long? I was lucky myself that I had a general practice doctor throughout the life of my MS condition, someone would have said they knew me when I passed away suddenly... there are many I have met from across British Columbia who were not as lucky. Just hold on, help is on the way. UNBC is now graduating drs yearly so with the right incentives for the graduates, it will fill the north with needed services and eventually fill Prince George by December 2015. LETSGOBC!!!!

The misuse of the word "Cure" should warn you against reading too much into this site above. The hormone they mention has no actual use in pregnancy but the science is there to figure out why pregnant MS patents go into sudden remission during pregancy. It is being researched in North America but I am unsure if the treatment would be as effective in me :( How would it affect a male to be hosting that hormone anyway? I wonder if the links below can tell us :) Always remember... The only information about Multiple Sclerosis that you can trust 100% of the time is your MS Society Of Canada (through their chapters and provincial division offices) or the National MS Society in the USA or verbally through your MS Clinic internationally.

This is another from the Italian MS Network, who brought Dr Zamboni's Name into our search for the cure. It is important to remember that CCVSI only flushes out the iron in the brain, it is not a cure. The damage that was already done must be repaired and NEVER return if it is a cure. The MS Society of Canada is researching it too.

Funds are collected by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and distributed towards research like this. It does look favorable that we walked very close to a cure in 2010. Please contribute towards 2011's walk here!

Assistive bed coverings... Another helpful item for those who are bed ridden for most of the time (or even for those of us who sleep in a bed during the normal time allotted for rest). The site says it does not ship to Canada but I received a reply back from the company and they do ship way up here to Northern British Columbia (and the rest of Canada). As per Dr Zamboni's advice on jumping ahead of your local country's medically approved treatments. This blog does wish anyone doing so good luck but we do not recommend it.
