Not sure why I haven't blogged this before but no matter, it still sound hot and gets the ipod reload pretty much everytime it comes on.

Sincere joins voices with one of my current favourite dancehall artists, Popcaan. Obviously Popcaan runs the ting entirely for me but Sincere still sounds cool.

Abel Tesfaye AKA The Weeknd dropped the track previously unheard track, Enemy last night, sharing the link on twitter. Maintaining his signature dark sound, Abel has once again given us a slow and seductive track which conjures up images of couples in a dark, underground club.

I've listened to it on repeat for the past 20 mins already (not that I'm obsessed or anything), and know that this will be getting added to the ipod pretty soon. It's actually a shame that it won't be featured on his forthcoming official album release.

Trilogy will contain The Weeknd’s mixtapes, House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence, all mixed and mastered for the first time. Plus, the release will also feature 3 new songs - “Twenty Eight,” “Valerie,” and “Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun)”.

OK, I'm off…will try to only listen to this one more time today.

Miguel - Kaleidoscope Dream

Yesterday's winner of Best Email came courtesy of the record label that sent me the new Miguel album Kaleidoscope Dream.

The latest offering from this R&B singer has pretty much been on repeat since I got it. From the stunning Adorn through to tracks like Use Me and Arch & Point (which is my current fav), it's a soulful and modern take on the genre which has been sullied recently by generic dance music production.

There are soft rock elements, funk and soul, yet as a complete album it sounds like a purer R&B album than some of the others I've heard recently. Plus, as it wasn't one of the albums I'd been particularly anticipating, Kaleidoscope Dream has been a pleasant surprise.

I'd definitely recommend buying this for any soul or R&B fans and those who like artists like Frank Ocean or The Weeknd (who's new material I'm looking forward to hearing).

Shine bright like a diamond

As much as I love Rihanna for her fashion, style and couldn't give a f**k attitude, I haven't been overly bothered by her music for a little while.

However, her new single Diamonds has completely remained stuck in my head. At first I was like 'yeah it's cool', but it has grown on me so much. I love the lyrics and the way we can hear a bit more of her Bajan accent.

Surely it'll be number 1 this weekend. Big up to Stargate on this one. They sure know how to make a hit.

Disclosure - Latch feat Sam Smith

I generally love pretty much anything from Disclosure and their newest track 'Latch' feat Sam Smith is no different.

The Lawrence brothers manage to produce to produce a chilled sound reminiscent of some of my fav MJ Cole tracks. The type of tune you can listen to in the morning on the iPod or in the car (when I'm imagining it's sunny).

No idea who Sam Smith (the vocalist of the track) is unfortunately.

Another excellent track from Disclosure. If you haven't listened to much of their music before. It's definitely worth checking out their sound cloud page and catching up.

Really looking forward to their album next year.

Daley & Jessie J - Remember Me

I won't blab on about how much I love Daley's voice, because to be honest, I've said it so many times on this blog.

I will however say that it came as no surprise that I LOVE his new single 'Remember Me' featuring Jessie J. It's got a great old skool funky feel, mainly due to the fact that it samples a very familiar classic - Blue Boy‘s 90s hit of the same name (which originally sampled Marlena Shaw‘s “Woman of the Ghetto”).

Definitely one for the R&B fans.

Nas is super honest in Bye Baby video

There's something about a man who can be so honest in his music, especially when it comes to a pretty public end of a relationship.

Nas' new video for Bye Baby, from his excellent album 'Life is Good', sees the veteran artist chronicle the breakdown of his relationship with ex-wife Kelis. A divorce which saw the rapper having to pay a pretty huge chunk out to his wife for spousal and child support each month. The album is a reminder that not all of today's hip hop is dance-poluted or completely superficial. Thanks Nas.

Usher goes 'Diving' in his new video

Usher has released a sexy new video for his new R&B single Dive and it features the Climax star on a boat with his video ‘love interest’, the stunning model Chanel Iman. Don't wanna sound like the old moaning woman complaining about all the R&B that's been ruined by the David Guettas of this world, but as with Climax, it's nice to hear this side of Usher.

The storyline for the Dive video seems to be that Usher and Chanel are out at sea, and unfortunately, their boat starts to sink…obviously instead of firing up a flare gun or looking for some other way out, they decide to focus on having some 'sexy-time'. I guess the thinking is, if we're gonna drown, we may as well enjoy ourselves while it's happening.

Reppin Team JA during the Olympics

Yes, I was born in England, yes I grew up here too. However, that did not stop me spending a considerable amount of time rocking the yellow, green and black of the Jamaican flag during the London 2012 Olympic Games. I brought my flag to the Olympic Stadium when I went to watch athletics, rocked my giant JA flag as a top at Puma Yard in East London and was a regular at Jamaica House at the O2 Arena watching the races, drinking rum cocktails and generally socialising. I shot this little video during the madness that was watching the 200m Men's Finals at Jamaica House: I wasn't anti Team GB though, the achievements of our Olympians was great and often inspiring. Jessica Ennis and Nicola Adams in particular made everyone proud when they collected their gold medals. Plus, London became so much more pleasant during the two weeks, people were unafraid of eye contact, and...*gasp* some were seen to be randomly smiling at strangers! If only it could always be like that.

The xx - Angels

As I'm so slack with my blogging these days (clearly I'm working too hard...or watching too much TV), it takes something better than the norm to motivate me to log into blogger.

Anyway, tonight's inspiration comes from the new single 'Angels' from The xx. It dropped into my inbox a few days ago and whilst I thought it was lovely, it's grown on me even more. It's just so chilled and helps me calm the hell down in the mornings when I would otherwise be considering punching someone in the packed tubes or when I'm pissed of at the regular delays. My only complaint is that it's a bit short.

Posting the track on their Facebook page, the band wrote: "It's been a long time since we've played you anything new. This song is called Angels, it is the first single from our new album, Coexist. We've been playing this song live recently, so it feels good to share with you the version we've been working on for so long. We hope you like it. xx The xx"

Frank Ocean's Fallon performance & Channel Orange full stream

Frank Ocean's album is now available to buy on iTunes after officially being announced on Jimmy Fallon's show in the States. Ocean performed 'Bad Religion' on the show, and you can watch that below:

Although physical copies aren't available for another week, fans can finally get to hear Channel Orange in full. I'm guessing the release date was brought forward after the record label saw all of the buzz that Ocean was getting after his moving confession about his first true love being a man.

So, you can stream the album in full and then cop it on iTunes or wait for the physical copies like I will (I want an actual CD to sit in with my collection).

Hackney Weekend - Day 2

I didn't get to blog about the second day of the Hackney weekend because to be honest I've been way too tired and spent yesterday evening watching the new Amazing Spider-Man movie at a screening (it's just OK, not amazing really).

So, seeing as this is hella late, I'll keep it short.

IT WAS FAB!

Nas, Jessie J, Rihanna (who was of course joined by Jay-Z), and I got to catch up with even more people that I hadn't seen for a little while.

Plus I got my welly bashment-skank on when Robbo Ranx did a set on the DJ stage. Speaking of wellies, I'm definitely glad I took that little trip to Primarni to buy them because the mud would've ruined any other footwear.

Unsurprisingly Nas was my highlight. We were dancing so hard near the stage, not caring that we were missing a chunk of Rihanna's set and I was pleasantly surprised to see some pretty well known media 'personalities' skanking just as hard next to us.

I've got loads to catch up on because there were so many performers and sometimes I was too busy being entertained by drunk Eastenders cast members, trying to pick what to eat from the ridiculous amounts of food stores and answering the "So how's your new job going?" question.

Hackney Weekend Day 1

Had a great day at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend (Day 1) last night.

First time hanging out as one of the punters for years! So apart from missing out on catering, transport and nosing about backstage, I had a laugh hanging out and watching artists like Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Sean Paul and of course the mighty Jay-Z.

I swear after going to the Watch The Throne tour I love Jay-Z even more than before so it was amazing seeing him treat the Hackney crowd to on-stage appearances from Rihanna, M.I.A. and Kanye!

Looking forward to seeing Nas and Rihanna today.

Delilah - Inside My Love video

So the girl with the haunting voice has released a video for her latest single 'Inside My Love'.

In the visuals, Delilah sings while writhing on a bed, and there's a guy doing some uh...'artistic' dancing in the background before he joins her for…lets call it expressive ballet-inspired dance moves.

Can't say much for the decor in the room. Maybe there were budgetary constraints…either way, the vide kept my attention as did Delilah's voice as usual.

Josh Kumra - Helicopters & Planes video

I've blogged about Josh Kumra a few times before and now he's released his video for official debut single Helicopters and Planes.

The track features rapper K Koke and the clip sees the Swindon singer walking around London singing (the underground, Oxford Street, the airport etc.)

Josh often looks a bit sad though, like he's gonna cry or something and he is pronouncing the word planes like 'pur-lanes' but I still love his voice.

This black leather skirt is pretty and i want it.

It's described as a "Black lamb’s leather box pleated mini-skirt with pleated tulle back by Miharayasuhiro." and I can already imagine myself in it with some ankle boots.

Trouble is, this one costs over £1,000 and sadly that's totally unrealistic for me.

Anyone seen something very similar but for a more reasonable price?

Feeling this Wookie tune - 2 Us

The original UK Garage legend Wookie has returned with a new single called ’2 Us’ and I LOVE IT!

Six years after quitting music, the producer responsible for the classic tracks Battle and the remix of Sia’s ‘Little Man’, among others, is back and is joined by new vocalist Rachel K Collier on a new track.

On his return to the scene, Wookie said: “Everyone old skool was getting back in the vibe…and it just felt right”

The track was premiered on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show a little while back but is due to be released on July 16th.

I was so into garage back in the day that it's nice to hear some new garage material again. Besides, I still think Wookie is one of the best UK producers about.

Not sure who the girl is on this 'Wine & Go Down' track is, but to be fair, I'm not a fan of her tone. I only really rate dancehall women like Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens, Spice & Macka Diamond (yes that's terrible, whatever...sue me).

Anyhoo, it's called Wine and Go Down.

Weirdly, this looks like it was recorded at Don Corleon's studio back in 2010!

Ellie Goulding covers The Weeknd - High For This

In general, I'm not a fan of Ellie Goulding but was intrigued when I heard she'd covered The Weeknd's High For This. It's not half bad actually, even though she has a slightly odd singing voice. Not as good as the original, but worth a listen.

Despite the fact that I don't have an iPhone, I want this iPhone case...I guess technically I could use it for my iPod, or maybe it could just sit in my house until I defect from Blackberry to iPhone when the next upgrade is due.

Either way I'm seriously considering ordering one.

Blame Rihanna for waving hers around recently and drawing attention to the hot accessory.

Completely loving Jai Paul - Jasmine

Quite a few mates have been tweeting about this track and so I eventually had a listen...or 10.

In the same way that I can totally zone out to some Jamie Woon, or Disclosure, I'm loving the etherial sound of this track.

But who the hell is Jai Paul then?

He's a London singer and producer and released his debut single BTSTU around a year ago on XL Recordings. The track was sampled by Beyoncé on her single 'End of Time' and reworked by Drake on 'Dreams Money Can Buy'. Weirdly though, despite releasing this single, and being shortlisted in the BBC's Sound of 2011 list, there's been nothing else floating about until Jasmine.
