The price was so expensive at that time. Not that I can't afford it that time but it doesn't make any sense at all to spend that much of money just for a small toy. So, the other alternative for me at that time was to look for a generic 'look alike' PSP. While I was being outstationed in Kuching (Sarawak) for a week (5 years ago), I went for a window shopping in that town. I was so excited when I came across an electronic shop selling the generic 'look alike' PSP. I bought it straight away because it was a lot cheaper than a real PSP. Since I never play a real PSP before, I don't know what I should expect from that generic brand. Not sure whether it can play the PSP UMD disc. All the games were already preinstalled into its built in memory but all the games were not that great...that was 5 years ago and that generic PSP is no longer with me...I think I gave it away to one of my younger brother...

Now days, I owned 3 PSP consoles (they're not PSP Go) and all of them are the real PSP from Sony....There are all PSP slim with built in WiFi (I thought I could be able to browse the net using the WiFi but it always showing an error while trying to access the network...I even try to connect it with my own home wireless connection but never successful...don't know why but I don't bother too much about it)... I also have about 30 games and all of them comes in UMD disc...Mostly all the games are for my son - he has all the Ben 10 games series and a number of racing/action games.....For me, I like to play the FIFA soccer/football games..I started with FIFA 07 and I almost complete all the tournament in it...then I move on to FIFA 10. The graphic was so much better compared to FIFA 07 but I have to up my skill if I want to go further in the tournament....

At first, I have only 1 PSP console and at that time I was pretty addictive to the FIFA games...Every time when I lose a game, I will throw the PSP to the wall...hahaha....soon after that, my son start 'conquering' the PSP with his Ben 10 games...Only then, I bought another PSP during a sale...this second unit looks very stylish with its red/maroon color. It came with the Transformer game as a package. My first PSP was packaged with Resistance Retribution game...it was a good game but I came to stuck at one level which requires the 'Hero' to dive and navigate underwater...I kept end up at the 2 same location everytime I came out to the surface...finally I just gave up...My third PSP also came with a game...FIFA 2010 world cup....I always used the Malaysian team to beat another international team...sometime I won but most of the time, I lost..

I use the 2Gb memory stick Pro Duo on each of the PSP to save the level that had been completed for every games. As an experiment, I also saved some video files into the memory card and the PSP is able to play the MPEG 4 video file. If you have a different format of the video file which is not supported by the PSP, you can easily convert them to MPEG 4 format. There are quite a few of conversion software which is available on the internet. I actually love to watch the 'Simpson'. So what I did, I set my DVD recorder to record the 'Simpson' cartoon...Since the 'Simpson' was aired on HD channel, the picture quality was really good...However for me to play back this video on a PSP, I have to convert them first to MPEG-4 format (I did this just for an experiment and just for some selected episode)...Since the display is only 4.3"(not that big but good enough to comfortably watching a video), watching it back on the PSP, the video quality was absolutely great....

The PSP is not that expensive anymore...I bought all my PSP (the console and the games) while I was living in Sydney for 4 years...The first unit cost me AUD299...second unit cost me AUD259 and the third one cost me AUD159...So, if you can get the PSP under 160 dollar (brand new one), I guess it is a good deal...Click here to find out more about PSP Slim Console Deal......

Feel a bit strange when I want to start writing again. I guess its normal to feel that way when you've stop writing for such a long time...(almost more than 4 years..)

Even my son now is 5 and a half years old by now. So, recently I bought him a RC car. This is the RC car from the "Flash and Dash" cartoon series as seen on the TV. Auldey is the maker of the RC car. To be honest, I don't really expect that much from this RC car...because from my past experience (I bought quite a lot of RC cars last time), none of them surpass my expectation and they've also never last that long....most of them last less than a month before starting to breakdown....

However, this small RC car is totally different from the one that I had bought before...We really enjoy playing this RC car...I end up buying 2 more of this RC car and play it together with my son and my wife...hahaha...Its really is a lot of fun when we race together....Since the size of the car is quite small, so it does not requires such a big space and it is more fun to play it on a flat slippery surface (sometime, my son purposely wet the floor with a bit of water)...it will then do all kind of drifting and it is such a lot of fun...you'll definitely enjoy this RC car...

Here is the link for the Auldey race tin commercial video...AULDEY RC Car.....If you would like to see more of this RC Car in action, just search for it in youtube...I bet you will find more about it. Before I forgot, when I bought the RC Car, I prefer to get one with the pistol grip remote control. I think I'm more comfortable with the pistol grip control but that will limit your choice of car. Also, the price for it is not that expensive...with 30 US dollar, you can easily get 2 of those RC Car...

It was a gift from my wife for my birthday 2 years back...heh..She knew that I love to play with a new "toy", so she bought this for me...heh..

I play with it for 1 day long...heh...never have a pda before...so excited...This hp iPAQ hx 2110 run with Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Secomd Edition...I don't care too much about the other software included in this pda...I'm most concern about how I could use this pda to entertain myself like watching the video and listen to the music or playing the games...heh..

So, this pda does has the Windows Media player (ver 9.0 for Pocket PC) to play the video files and MP3 files...Game...there are 2 games preinstalled in this hp iPAQ hx 2110...most common game is of course - Solitaire...another game is Jawbreaker...(not really an entertaining game but its better than nothing)...

The display size is 3.5" TFT active matrix and its support 16 bit or 64k colors. Maximum resolution of the display is 240 x 320. hp iPAQ hx 2110 has a memory of 64Mb of RAM (SDRAM) and 64MB ROM (Flash memory). Its memory can be expandable as it has one slot for the SD card or a Compact Flash card. It uses Intel 312 MHzXscale as its processor. This model is equipped with a mic as its audio input type and a speaker as it audio output type (maximum speaker sound is not that loud, so you might want to use an earphone if you watch a video or listen to the music). The connectivity of hp iPAQ hx 2110 can be done through infrared, Bluetooth or USB cable.

As my work requires me to travel a lot, I need a medium to play a music file or a video file as my mobile entertaiment. And long before I bought my Mp4 player and my Portable DVD player, I used this pda to play my music and video file. Sound quality for Mp3 file is quite ok. In fact, you could setup your own music library and arrange it as per your convenience. However, I found that watching a movie from this pda is not that good enough. Even though the screen is quite big, most of the time the Windows Media player will automatically resize the screen of the movie to a smaller size. And the screen brightness is not that good enough to watch a video file. In fact, if you watch a video using this hp iPAQ hx 2110 in an open environment, you could see the flash of the light on your screen and its really disturbing...

So now, since I bought my Mp4 player and my Portable DVD player, I hardly use this pda. Now, I just keep it in my cabinet as one of my "toy" collection...heh...

Branded name in toys manufacturing like Hot Wheel, Fisher Price, Matchbox and many other brands. The sales took place for 1 week starting form Monday and end on Sunday.

So it happen the warehouse sales was held nearby to my wife working area. So, she went there first to see what she could find for our son. She felt really excited and gave me a call first, just asking whether I'm ok with her spending some money there. No problem and she spend about RM110.00 (USD30) and she got 1 Hot Wheel, 1 Matchbox (featuring the cartoon character, SpongeBob...heh...I just love to watch SpongeBob) and 3 toys from Fisher Price. But, she still felt disappointed cause there were some other toys that she would want to buy was grabbed first by the others...She told me the price of the toys during the sales was so cheap until it drove the people to go crazy and they starting to grab any toys they saw first...heh...

So come to weekend, my wife ask me to accompany her to the warehouse sales and she wanted to get what she couldn't get in her first visit...My wife really have the spirit in that morning..she urge me to prepare as earlier as 8am (normally during weekend, I just love to have a long sleep in the morning...heh..). She wanted to be the first person standing at the front gate of the warehouse ..hehe...

Unfortunately, I got stomach ache on that morning which made us a bit slower and we just arrive there when there was no more parking space in the warehouse...hehe...My wife felt a bit angry with me...heh...

Finally, I managed to get a parking space outside the building. We entered the building and I could saw there was a huge crowd of people grabbing any toys they can see especially at the Fisher Price counter...heh...I just ask my wife to que along with the other people and just takes whatever toys she would want her son to have...

Me..heh...I just walked myself looking to the other counter untill finally I came to the Hot Wheel counter...I grabbed a few Hot Wheel toys and ran back to my wife...My wife asked me to que in front of the Fisher Price counter nd grab any toys when their staff open a new box...

So, on that day we end up with 6 Hot Wheel toys and 4 toys from Fisher Price. All this cost us only around RM280.00 (USD75)....heh...quite a good price....

This is my son in front of his toys collection - just bought from the warehouse sales...heh...But, he played with the toys just for a while only...then he get bored already...heh...

The T9B looks good with its elegant black color - it also comes in red and green but I like it more in black version. First time holding it, a greasy fingerprints are easily attracted to it and you will find yourself constantly cleaning it each time you use it....heh...

T9B has a 1.8" screen blends in nicely with the rest of the player. On top of the player, you will see a 3.5mm earphone jack along with the built-in microphone for voice recording. You will also find most of the functions button on the side of the player. Obviously, it is designed for an easy navigation even with the use of one hand.

The first thing you will notice upon switching it on is its ultrasharp LCD screen which comes as a suprise to me - small device but has an excellent image display. T9B is a fully equipped multimedia centre with music and video playback capabilities. You could also view pictures, read text files and play Flash-based games or listen to the FM radio on it.

Battery life also is really amazing - nearly 30 hours of music playback on a single charge. This is definitely one music player you will want t have with you when you're travelling long distance.

One thing I need to mention, the transfer of media files is done using Samsung proprietary Media Studio software.

As a music player, T9B does not disappoint. Paired with a good set of headphones, the player produces some remarkably sharp and crisp sounding tunes. Samsung's Digital Natural Sound engine (DSNe) emulates various 3D musical environments like a studio, stage or club. T9B also has a Bluetooth capabilities - it support both AD2P and AVRCP - making it possible for you to listen to the music while the player is in your pocket. But, I did found some difficulties while testing the connectivity with an optional Bluetooth headset. However, once I get through it, I'm very much enjoying a wire-free music experience. This gadget would also allow you to transfer songs with your music mobile phone.

While as a video player, T9B display the best looking videos ever seen on such a small media device. However, the player does not support MOV and MP4 files. The common file likes WMV, AVI, ASF and MPEG4 can be played with this gadget. The video quality is still sharp enough to display subtitles of the movie.

Too bad, this T9B only comes with 2GB of memory and no expansion slot for the memory card. So, you'll have to pick and choose what you want to store in the player.

I know, many will realize this is not a latest phone from Nokia...but I am interested to write about this phone as 1 of my blog reader use this phone...heh..

Ok, this model was sold worldwide sometime in 2005...so, it has been almost 2 years this model in the market...Of course, there is a lot of feedback that we could collect from all the users...

First come to its design, most of the users feel that this model probably the best looking Nokia's Series 60. It suits both young users and businessmen. The keypad is convenient and provides very decent tactile feedback...but the silver strips on both sides of the phone easily get dirty with your fingerprints..it is true?...heh...

The phone support fast data transmission in 3G (up to 128/384kbps UL/DL). It also support other 3G services, including 2 way video calls with the use of built in VGA camera located in front side of the phone. It also has another camera at the back of the phone (1.23MP, 6x digital zoom) and hidden under a sliding cover. Just slide the cover down and you're ready to shoot pictures and record video clips.

This model has 20MB operating memory with only 9MB available to store pictures or clips. But you could expand it using MMC cards and the best thing is you could take out and put new MMC card without having it to be turned off.

Nokia 6680 can play the MP3 file with clean and good quality but don't expect to hear too much bass with the headset. The screens (178 x 208 pixel, 262thousand colors) has a very good quality, with a very good contrast and brightness controlled by a sensor. Battery life can last long till a few days even when making real use of most of the phone functions.

Photo Editor provides basic edit functions like crop, rotate, autofix(darken, brighten, balance), insert frame, add text and Greeting card. With Image Print, you could print your pictures on compatible Bluetooth printers (XpressPrint) or even using USB cable with PictBridge printers. Using Video editor, you could add transitions, visual effect and sound to your video clips and you could combine multiple clips in one - all through directly from the phone itself.

With Movie director, you can create "muvees", video clips sytle containing video + music + text. Just select your prefered style and let the program edit the clip automatically...heh...Frankly speaking even with this so much sophitiscated functions in a phone, how many people will make use of this functions 100%...Most of the people use their phone to take call and make call and only a few times I use my phone to take photo...hehe...Anyway, this just a quick review of the model...

Price? Hmmm...In Malaysia, for this model the price is around RM900++...around USD250++...

Actually, it just been launched somewhere in 14th March 2007. Also introduced a new compact external speaker, model MPS-75, which let you plays the track stored in your Walkman phone out loud. I have attached the picture of this speaker below...

This is a small plug-in speaker unit with excellent sound quality that is powered from the phone - perfect for that party moment. Anyway I prefer to listen to my music using the headset...It keeps me isolate from the other world..hehe.. The W660 Walkman phone also offers Bluetooth Audio Streaming, which allows you to send music wirelessly from the phone to other compatible devices, such as the Music Bluetooth Receiver MBR-100 or the Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS970.
The w660 equipped with the features of TrackID. If you ever need to identify a piece of music that you don’t recognise, simply record a few seconds of the track, either via the microphone or by tagging a clip straight from the phone’s FM Radio, and TrackID will send the clip to the Gracenote Mobile MusicID database. This quickly identifies the track, the artist and album and relays the information back to your Walkman phone.
As for the memory, you will get 512Mb Memory stick pro when you purchase this phone which can allow you to store up to 470 full length of songs and you could upgrade your memory when your song collection increase.
If you subscribe your phone to the web, this w660 would allow RSS feed to delivered straight to your phone desktop...but for me, I don't prefer to surf the web through my phone...too small...and too slow...heh
One additional features that I like most of this phone is Picture Blogging capability. So, with its 2.0 MP camera, you could capture a picture and upload it instantly to your personal blog site.

She ask me first before she buy it and I said "Wait, let me make a survey first before you buy"...

So, here is what I find out about the LG chocolate...

I have seen it before my eyes and its design really attract my attention. The design is absolutely beautiful and stylish. But how about the spec that I want and what are the specs that are going to be a waste to me...

And how about the price...Well, it seems that eventhough this model is available at the market for quite sometime, the price just still remains the same...Last time I saw the price is around RM900++...

Anyway, I love to see the size and the contrast of the display...it has the size of 31 x 39mm with 176 x 220pixels, TFT 256k color...The design makes it suits your palm...It has 128Mb internal memory and it is not expandable, no card slot available...

Connectivity is through Bluetooth 1.2 and USB 2.0...

Its camera has resolution of 1.3MP...This phone can play MP3 and MPEG4 file...Battery life can last long for 6hrs for talk time and 200hrs in standby...

I have yet to decide to buy this phone...I'm thinking of getting me the Sony Ericsson walkman series...heh...

All car dvd players offer premium sound and picture quality and can give you multichannel surround sound. However, while watching a movie from the LCD display during a hot daylight - it could disturb your comfort while enjoying the movie because you could see the flash of the light on your screen.
Car dvd players are small and compact and allow you to mount them underneath a seat or in a cargo area for convenience. The underseat car dvd players would cost from RM600-RM850, the in-dash car dvd players can be from RM600-RM1200, and the car dvd changers are more expensive at RM1200 - RM3000. I have had a portable dvd player in the car for years that mounts to the back of the passenger seat and is perfect for long drives. If you have kids, then this is a must buy for any driving trip.

I saw one of this model while doing my window shopping for the latest gadget. This model come in 2 different color, black and white. Both look stunning but I prefer the black color one...heh..

This model offers the user a choice at start-up - call or music only. The swivel is the same as the W550's, but the screen is larger. The screen is nice with a 240 x 320 resolution and 262,144-hue colour depth. The contours of the phone are smooth and suit the white skin. Nevertheless, the audio suffers as a result - the W900 has only one speaker, mounted on the back of the unit next to the camera.

The headphones, with a lead-mounted display and roll control, fit very well in the ear. The soft rubber collars make the earpieces fit snuggly and seal out a lot of background noise but I still can hear a bit of the background noise...maybe my ear is too sensitive...hehe..Anyway, I'm still satisfy with the sound quality.

Its internal memory has a capacity of 470MB , with a MemoryStick Duo port for more memory space. One nice addition would have been a 3.5mm jack, allowing replacement headphones and the ability to output music to another device.

It use the Internet Tablet OS 2007 developed by Nokia. The display is excellent with the size of 4.1 inches and resolution 800 x 480pixel. Camera can be improved. The first generation use 0.3MP camera and can be used as a webcam. Memory can be extendable with 2 slot of SD card - 1 external and 1 internal. Its RAM uses 128MB and its Flash memory has the capacity of 256MB - enough for below than 100 mp3 files. To me it is ok already. Sound quality good enough but not as good as Sony Ericsson walkman series. Connectivity is done either through IEEE 802.11, bluetooth 2.o or USB 2.o. Battery life can last long for 3 hours in use or 10 days in standby.

But, because the price is an issue to me...heh...so, I just put it out from my shopping list. Anyway, I would like to share the opinion from one of my friend who had been using this model for quite sometime. The design itself could make one to purchase one of this model. It has a long battery life up to 3.5hrs after its fully recharged, so you can enjoy your movie... mobile. It is lightweight and has a large screen 10.2"with an excellent display. Affordable? heh...to me, its quite expensive...above than RM1200. It is also user-friendly and thus easy to use.Sound quality - excellent.

One of my friend got one of this. I'm just taking his opinion about this player. It has a good quality of LCD screen. It also has a built-in kickstand which includes a voice recorder, a line-in audio recorder, and an FM tuner. When he first bought the unit, it came with a stylish carrying case. Its battery is easy to be removed.

However, it does takes a little to get used to it.

The price 6 megapixel i6 is around RM1000. It also comes with a 2.5-inch LCD and a 3x optical zoom, the i6 includes a mini headphone jack for enjoying MP3 files, along with video playback capability for XviD files. Brand Brother's - car accesories brand, quite popular in Malaysia. I bought this player purposely not only can be used in my car but also can be brought while I go outstation. The price also is quite ok - RM888.00

Before I bought this player, I made a survey first - the spec and of course the price. I have seen a lot of brand in our local market. Not only the recognized brand of portable dvd player but also a lot of not so famous brand of this kind of player.

For me if you want to buy an electronic appliance, it is worth to buy any cheap brand. From the experience, normally I'll stick to one electronic gadget for 2 or 3 months only. Then, I'll start to leave it and hardly to use it. And after some time, if I feel I'm not going to use it anymore - I'll just keep it in the drawer or just give it to my siblings.

Back to the player that I bought, this dvd player is powered with Akai electronic as it main component. Quite reliable. The LCD display also quite excellent. It also can be used with the USB thumbdrive and the SD/MMC card. It also has the capability to remember the last chapter of the movie played right before it was switched off. Even if you disconnect the main power supply or the external battery supply, it still can remember that last chapter played.

I frequently bring this player with me while outstation and sometime after I finish the job earlier, I will play a movie and enjoy it with my customer while they still busy with the lab works. Just make sure that their lab supervisor is not around...hehe....if not, he will labell me as a bad element to his staff...heh...

It feels good to show and share my opinion with the others. At least with that we could learn a new things and share the knowledge. I select 'New Tech Gadget' as my blog's title as I'm quite crazy about the electronic gadget. I believe there is a lot of people out there sharing the same passion as I have.

I am a person whose work require me to travel a lot. I can tell you that my job requires me to fly frequently around Malaysia area including Sabah and Sarawak. So it happen one time ago, I received a lot of customer's call and need me to attend their problem. During that one month, I fly 20 times. Could you just imagened that? I'm so tired of it. But what to do, it is the nature of my job. Nevertheless, I'm quite happy with what I did. Simply because, I give my services to help make the other life better. And when they happy, I feel really satisfy.

So since I travel a lot, I need to find a way to enjoy my time. How to enjoy my time during the waiting hours at the airport? So, I bought a few electronic gadget just to entertain myself. I can't enjoy the movie with my massive exploded home theatre system, can't watch my favorite tv programme, can't listen to my favorite radio channel, can't select the song that I want, So why not bring it out with me? But I also don't want to bring the laptop, it still big and heavy too.

That is why New Tech Gadget come - Lets put our input to this.
