An easy solution for alcohol addiction

2022-12-03T09:48:00.002-08:00

If you have an alcohol addiction, instead of going for your favorite alcoholic drinks next time you get thirsty, put 3 to 5 teaspoons, of apple cider, vinegar in a glass and dilute it with water and drink it. Your cravings for alcohol will stop because the acetic acid in vinegar and ethanol, the type of alcohol that is found in alcoholic drinks, have a similar chemical structure. Try it; it may work for you!

By the way, it is wrong to blame some alcoholics for their anti-social behaviors. Alcoholics do not drink with the intention to get drunk and cause trouble. It is the addiction that makes them drink, and the alcohol that causes them to misbehave.

2022-04-04T13:04:00.000-07:00

A huge happiness and positive thinking industry, estimated to be worth US$11 billion a year, has helped to create the fantasy that happiness is a realistic goal. Chasing the happiness dream is a very American concept, exported to the rest of the world through popular culture. Indeed, “the pursuit of happiness” is one of the US’s “unalienable rights”. Unfortunately, this has helped to create an expectation that real life stubbornly refuses to deliver.

Farming has come a long way

2021-12-21T18:51:00.005-08:00

All you need now is a few people who can drive tractors and combine harvesters to produce crops on a big farm. Thousands of people, farming all day, using the traditional methods will not achieve the result that a modern farmer can achieve in an hour. Farming has come a long way, and the technologies are still continuing to improve. And in the future, tractors and harvesters will not even need drivers because they will be self driving.

By the way, have you noticed a combine harvester has a shape that slightly resembles an elephant?

What factors determine a persona's character?

2021-12-06T08:24:00.001-08:00

We all have different personalities; no two persons, even identical twins, behave the same. The question is then, what factors determine how a child's character will turn out to be? Is it genetics/ nature, or is it the environment /nurture or it is both? Science is not sure. But I believe 70% of a person's character is determined by genetics, and the rest by the environment.

Scientists think how a child interacts with his or her environment is the major factor that determines how their personality will turn out to be, and since no two people can have the same interactions with their environment, no two people, even identical twins, can have identical personalities, even though compared to non-identical twins, they still share many similarities. That explains why two people, even those who share identical genes, never behave the same.
