The morphology of the electrospun collagen-chitosan nanofibers was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and stabilized by glutaraldehyde (GTA) vapor via crosslinking. Fourier transform infrared spectra analysis showed that the collagen-chitosan nanofibers do not change significantly, except for enhanced stability after crosslinki

Morphologic study shows that, due to the formation of chemical bonding, there is a strong interaction between the GONPs and the hard segment of the PU, which allows effective load transfer. The GONPs can prevent the formation of crystalline hard segments due to their two-dimensional structure. With the incorporation of 4.4 wt% of GONPs, the Young's modulus and hardness of the PU are significantly increased by approximately 900% and approximately 327%, respectively. The resultant high resi

Any cyclist can tell you the importance of wearing a helmet to save a noggin' from damage during a crash. Bikers add leather gear to the equation for the open highway. And Firefighters wear heat-resistant pants and jackets when battling fires. Soon U.S. military personnel may find that wearing underpants could save their lives. Not just any ol' Hanes or Fruit of the Loom brand -- although arguably wearing tighty whities in certain battlefield circumstances might be more prudent than not. However, what I'm talking about are briefs that have carbon-based electrodes screenprinted onto the f
