The species are listed as Near Threatened, with nearly two-thirds making it to the Least Concern category. The most risk with five of the eight species in the threatened categories Tunas, including: Southern bluefin; Atlantic bluefin; Bigeye; Yellowfin and Albacore.

The IUCN Species Survival Commission's Tuna and Billfish Specialist Group, Senior Scientist of the U.S National Marine Fisheries Service, and lead author of the paper. Dr Bruce B says, "This is the first time that fishery scientists, ichthyologists and conservationists have come together to jointly produce an assessment of the threats facing a commercially important group of fishes".

Many species in economically extreme high value, the information should prove invaluable in helping governments make decisions to safe-guard these species, and has come about just in time for the 3rd Joint Meeting of the Tuna Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMO) being held in La Jolla, California, July 11-15.

Dr Kent Carpenter says, all three bluefin tuna species are ceptible to collapse under continued excessive fishing pressure. The Southern Bluefin has already essentially crashed, with little hope of recovery.The western Atlantic Bluefin stocks are at risk of collapse as they are showing little sign that the population is rebuilding following a significant reduction in the 1970s.

ALFA ROMEO 156 GTA

The Alfa Romeo 156 is a car that has always been a hard-sell on paper. The platform can be traced all the way back to the Fiat Tipo, they can be an absolute swine to service they have a lot of power going to the front wheels, they're thirsty relative to their power output and, as good as the 'cooking' 156s looked, the be-flared and be-winged GTA just didn't seem quite as pretty to many.

If you were still keen even after all this you still had to deal with the fact that it's an Alfa Romeo, and that they're not exactly renowned for being well screwed-together and electrically robust. They were never a 'thinking man's' car. I had one...

Mine had a whole heap of issues and niggles, and a couple of out-and-out failures, but despite that I'd have another one over a bunch of 'better' cars in a heartbeat. The reason is because, quite simply, the Giuseppe Busso-designed V6 engine in this car is one of the most intoxicating motors ever made. If you've never experienced one, quite frankly I pity you.

This particular 156 GTA from our classifieds stands out largely because it's blue but also because it's on sale at an Alfa specialist and has recently had some key servicing carried out as well as having a thorough service history.
The dreaded cambelt has been replaced by the vendors, as have the clutch, radiator, and rear discs and pads. Oh, and the dodgy plastic-impeller water pump has been replaced with a steel-impeller item. They've also fitted xenons to the headlights for good measure.

HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) – The HarrisburgEconomic Development Commission is working to improve the appearance of businesses in town by using tax dollars for economic development. Region 8 News talked about a special grant the HEDC has this year, in which businesses renovating the outside appearance of buildings can apply for a 50% matching grant with the city.

Mayor Randy Mills said the city had $10,000 in grant money available for 2011, but only a few thousand dollars are remaining. He said two businesses have been approved for a maximum grant of $2,500. Two other businesses have also been approved.

"We want to help the folks out in this town that's actually putting into this tax base. We want to help them out. We want to do what we can for them," said Mills. "It's just sitting in the bank and nothing is happening to it and I think we're using it wisely."

According to the grant guidelines, buildings must have an active business or an active business within a month of the project's completion. It states only outside renovations qualify, such as removal, cleaning, repainting, repair, landscaping or other exterior projects approved by the city. All paint and awning colors must be approved by the city and all changes during construction must be approved.

Mills said residents made the grant possible by voting for an economic development tax.

Electric water pump driven by a Moroso motor. Extra water pump belt included as are two 5 gallon race fuel jugs. .599 lift int/exh mechanical flat tappet Crane cam with 320 deg duration.

Chevrolet Camaro

4 bolt mains and a 7 quart Moroso pan. TCI race converter in front of a TH400 tranny with tranny brake and reverse pattern valve body. Tranny has about 40-50 passes on rebuild.
Rebuilt with all high performance B&M clutches and new oil pump. Deep high capacity pan. Ford 9 inch narrowed with 33 spline axles and has spooled 5.13 gears.
Running this combo with 32X14.50-15 slicks launches hard and has excellent 60 foot times. Go through the traps at a moderate 6500 rpm.
I raced this car at about 1100 feet altitude and it ran a very consistent 11.36 @ 115 mph. It will probably be in the upper 11's here at this elevation. Chassis is tubbed and back-halfed and has an 8-point roll bar. You will have to put tires on it to race.
If you want to up the horsepower to lower the speed below 10.99 you will need to spend $120 on a kit for the halo and uprights and have someone weld it in. Despite what people think, the car isn't that expensive to run. My Dad helped me replace all four CV boots and change all of the rusty bolts to stainless ones. Also I fill it up with Shell V power and the mpg averages at over 25.

Fastest growing area of European online advertising market

The fast rise in popularity of online video advertising has been confirmed in new figures that show the market for this type of ad grew by 90% to €63m (£56m) in the UK in 2010, and doubled in most European markets.

Along with mobile and social advertising, video helped make display advertising the fastest growing form of online advertising in Europe last year, rising by 21.3%, according to this week’s IAB (International Advertising Bureau) Europe AdEx survey. It was followed by search marketing, which grew by 15.1%. while classified and directory advertising brought up the rear at about 7%.
Search does, however, remain the biggest category in online marketing, with 45% of total advertising spend, compared to 33% for display and 22% for classifieds and directories.
Online is an increasingly important part of the total advertising market. In 2010 it took 28.7% of the UK advertising spend, the biggest share of any European country. Across Europe, online accounted for 18% of a €17.7bn (£15.7bn) advertising market, up from €15.3bn (£13.6bn) in 2009.1

The UK also retained its position as the European country with the highest level of spending on online advertising. The leading European countries in online advertising – the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain – between them accounted for 74% of the total market. Central and Eastern European markets (CEE) now represent 9.8% of the total.
But when it comes to mobile display advertising, Finland leads the way, accounting for 11.4% of the European market, compared to 3.5% in Italy, 3.1% in Spain and 2.8% in the UK.
Vincent Létang, senior analyst at IHS Screen Digest, said: “Back in 2009, video was the only growth engine in an otherwise flat display market. In 2010, by contrast, three pillars – mobile, video and social – attracted new advertising investment. On top of fast-growing new formats, lets not forget that traditiaonl PC-based banner-style formats have retained their appeal thanks to innovations in design and targeting and a rise in mainstream brands using display for branding campaigns.
