I met with them about photographing their wedding and was SOLD. I even wished the wedding was sooner! I love hearing the stories of how my couples met ... and this was a first. He just happened upon her page and sent her a note saying that he thought her page was witty and intelligently written and that he was impressed. He had no plan to ever really hear back from her ... and, somehow, he did. She answered his message and the rest is history! I love it. So, we had our date for the engagement session set up months in advance. They came in from out of town ... and the weather looked ... well, in a word, questionable. But I called Laura and she assured me that we were still on and that they would meet at Sharon Woods - close to where she and Andy were. Oh ... and, in her words, 'it looks clear here' :) Ok. </span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;color:#c0c0c0;">I got in my car and we met up and began the session ... 10 min later ... in the words of Garth ... the thunder rolled! Now you get to see the newest addition! Emerson made his debut in to this world and he is absolutely beautiful. Newborns only have their newborn "look" for about 2 weeks and then they lose it. The drive was actually quite nice. I watched the storm clouds pass overhead and it drizzled a little here and there. I wasn't that worried. It looked like there would be an opening in between the storms right about the time we were supposed to start shooting. I met Tara and her mom awhile ago. They came in to meet with me and talk about Tara and Mark's wedding. Mark works on a boat and wasn't able to be there. Tara talked a lot about how they met and how Mark had proposed. One thing I picked up on right away was the constant theme of 'water' in everything they enjoyed doing together. So, it seemed ever so fitting for their engagement session to be at a lake. I met them at her parent's lake house that has been in the family for a VERY long time. It was here that I got the opportunity to meet Mark. I could see right away why Tara was so in love with him. He absolutely adores her and he has personality plus! Needless to say we had a great time wandering around one of the little islands.
