Class of 2013 Model Rep Sessions Have Begun!

I started photographing Model Reps from the Class of 2013 last week and will be photographing a lot more over the next month or so. Last week we had Devin, Amy and Maggie stop by for an hour each in the studio. They were all so excited and so much fun to work with! Being a senior photographer is a total blast! We tried lots of different ideas and created some truly outstanding images with all three of them.

Over the next several weeks I’ll be featuring each of this year’s nFocus Model Reps on my blog with more photos and more of what makes each of them so unique and special. Keep your eyes peeled!

Senior Photos with Paige in Crystal Lake, Illinois

Paige dropped by the studio for a senior session on Thursday. She graduated early from Jacobs in December and is waiting anxiously to go away to college in the fall. Paige was super sweet and a blast to work with. And look at those eyes! It was tough to take a bad picture and even tougher to pick just two to preview the session…

Headshots with Nia in Crystal Lake, Illinois

Nia stopped by this week for an updated headshot to use for auditions. She’s a dancer and spent a few years dancing with the Luvabulls! Go Bulls! She’s on to bigger and better things now and needed a new headshot for potential employers. We spent some time trying out different angles to get Nia’s headshot just right, but it turned out she has no bad angles! Lots of gorgeous photos from the session!

Class of 2013 nFocus Model Reps – You Are In!

Class of 2013! If you were thinking about having nFocus Photos take your Senior Pictures next year the nFocus Model Rep program is a great way to save some money on your photos and have a lot of fun! We’ve already signed up a great group of Reps from your class, but we still have room for a few more if you want to be part of the fun! Just submit the application below and I’ll get back to you about setting up a meeting with you and one of your parents.

Here’s how the Model Rep Program works:

First, nfocus Model Reps get a free model session in the studio this spring. During this session we’ll be trying out new ideas and backgrounds as well as creating photos for my advertising and promotional materials for the Class of 2013. You’re going to be the first ones from your class getting photographed and your photos will be all over Facebook and my website!

In addition to the free studio session you’ll also get a free outdoor Senior Session in the summer. You’ll have your own nFocus Facebook Page to show off your photos to your friends and if you refer your friends, you’ll have the opportunity to earn things like discounts on your photo print order, free hair and makeup, DVD slideshows and even a separate Model Photo Session for you and some of your closest friends. And for every friend you refer you’ll also get one entry into a drawing for a brand new Apple iPad next year!

To qualify you must currently be a high school Junior who wants to have your Senior Photos taken by nFocus Photos and you must be willing to promote nFocus Photos to your friends as well as attend a consultation meeting with one of your parents. The meetings will be held beginning in January in the nFocus studio in Crystal Lake.

Make sure your parents know you’re applying because once I get your application I’ll be back in touch with you and your parents to set up the consultation meeting. Senior Photos in the Snow with Shafali!!

We had a great time photographing Shafali’s senior portraits in the studio in December. Shafali was looking for something a little different than the rest of her friends though and also wanted to be photographed outside in the snow. Awesome, right? Of course!

This year has been so mild and there just hasn’t been that much snow. So we waited and we waited and we waited. Finally, on Thursday there was a bit on the ground and as a bonus the temp was completely reasonable. Seriously, I barely needed my jacket.

Shafali was great and let me drag her all over the park for an hour trying all kinds of different ideas. Such a fun session! We ended up with so many great photos it was tough to pick just a few to preview.

Cameron is in the Marines and will be shipping back to Afghanistan soon. Emily is just finishing her stint in the Air Force. They were both great to work with and an honor to photograph…

NEW PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: THE 8×8 ALBUM

New Product Spotlight: The Story Square

With the new year nFocus will be adding a few new products to the lineup. First up is a new composite design we’re calling the Story Square. It’s a 20×20 composite print featuring six images put together to tell the story of your photo session. The Story Square includes a complimentary frame in either black or white and come all ready to be hung in your home. I have a sample of the Story Square hanging in the studio and it’s gorgeous! I think it’s going to be extremely popular this coming year with both seniors and their parents…
