Some people tell me that all the good domain names are taken, but that is not true. Follow these tips for when you search for a domain name and hopefully this will help you grab a good one.

Remember domain names are a couple of cheeseburgers and a coke a year to own, and you can really never own enough of them.

Tips for Avoiding Poor Domain Names

*Avoid using domains that are deliberately misspelled.

Ex: SellURHome2Us vs. SellYourHomeToUs

* Avoid using domains with hyphens.

Ex: WeBuyPrettyHouses vs. We-Buy-Pretty-Houses

*Avoid using domains that are way too long.

Ex: WeSaveHomesFromForeclosure.com

*Avoid using domains that are meaningful only to you.

Ex: ABCFinancialGroup.com (investor or bank?)

*Avoid using .org unless you want people to think you’re a non-profit organization.

Ex: HomeSolutions.org (non-profit?)

*Avoid using unpopular domain extensions such as

.info, .tv, .cc, .ws, .name, etc. for your Primary Domain.

Tips for Choosing Good Domain Names

*Choose a domain that is short as possible.

*Choose a domain that is easy to spell and remember.

*Choose a value laden domain that says what you do.

*Try to purchase a .com or a .net if possible. If you are really set on a certain domain name, settle for a .biz or .us if necessary.

*Purchase YourCompanyName.com so that no one else will.

*Purchase the .net, .biz, .us and all others too if you can.

*If your company name is taken, try adding an ìIncî or ìLLCî to the end of the name and see if that is available.

*Anytime you get a good .com domain, tie up the .net, .biz, .us and any other variations of the name so others can’t.

*If you find a really good domain name, purchase it for more than one year. Tie it up for as long as you can.

*When purchasing domain names, be sure to set them to automatically renew so you don’t forget to renew.

*Don’t use YourCompanyName.com on your marketing material if your company name is vague or ambiguous.

*Make your domains private or unlisted for anonymity.

*Private domains also keep your email and fax off the public WHOIS database and help prevent SPAM and junk faxes.

*Make a list of all the words you would like to use in your domain name.

Ex: We + Buy + Houses + Fast

*If your name is taken, rearrange the words or insert new words in between them.

Ex: We + Buy + Atlanta + Houses or Homes

*Make a complete list of all the domains you want to purchase.

Tips and Tricks

*Domains that are mapped to your websites are ìattachedî to your sites.

*Domains that are forwarded, are not attached to your site, but are simply redirected to your site.

*Mapped domains get picked up by the search engines. Forwarded domains don’t.

WSC 2.0
Wicked Simple Cash 2.0 - 3077 Sold In 3 Days!

In an Internet Marketing Forum, all people want to display their superior copywriting skills while composing a special offer. I have listed some tips for you to follow while posting your ad in a forum based market place.

Do not try to overdo the title – if your offer cannot be understood, there are high chances of you losing out. They should be directed to your sales page and the offer copy should be short and pin pointed.

Apart from the headline, actual copy and payment method, you need to ensure the inclusion of the following:

?	Rights – What are the rights to be included (use these in the zip file too!)?

?	Guarantee – Will you guarantee refund? You better, especially if you are new.

?	Delivery Terms – Enlist the timeframes and if they are manual or automatic.

?	Support – Does your offer allot any support, installation or other such help?

?	Upgrades – To be included or served as extra?

?	Reviews – Did you get 5 to 10 members to review your offer before?

Some forums allow the members to post their ads related to their product / service for free. But there are many forums such as warrior forum that asks for a small fee of $20 to post the ad.

Also, price your products or services properly. It is better if you charge a special price at the forums which will definitely attract more customers towards your products or services.

As a matter of fact, in some forums , it is mandatory to charge a discount price compared to what is being charged to the general public. This is because more people to go to buy in some particular forum based marketplaces since they know that they are going to find quality products a low price in those market places.

By asking for a lower price, you will definitely have higher chances of making sales.

Remember, I talked of over delivery earlier. A good way to over deliver is you can charge for one product and give 2 quality products to the buyers. Or you can add 5 valuable E-books that will be of great use to your customers or you can also, use the technique , buy 1 and get 1 free technique to attract more customers.

Many experienced marketers create an urgency in their products or services by restricting their number clients or by restricting the period of the offer. So, if you have a product or service, that you are confident of , you too can create exigency by placing certain limitations.

Spend some time in posting your ad and trust me, it’s worth every penny or second that you invest. Owing to the large number of traffic flow to the popular Internet Marketing forums, not only your products or services but also you are going to get some good exposure. That is why I repeatedly kept focusing on the importance of a QUALITY product and the value of a well crafted offer.

Remember, a forum based marketplace has every power to make or break your online business.

WSC 2.0
Wicked Simple Cash 2.0 - 3077 Sold In 3 Days!

If you work with Internet consulting, it’s likely that most of the business you do is online. Most clients who already are web savvy enough to get online and go hunting for the help they need to make their businesses a success won’t necessarily require you to meet in person. In fact, the beauty of working online is that it means that you can expand your clientele to around the world. Even if you live in Texas, there’s absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t be able to work with clients in Singapore or South Africa or anywhere in between. The only limit is time zones!

However, if you’re reading this article, it means that you’re interested in trying to network with a different genre of client, the ones who are not yet on the Internet. Even for people who are offline that would like to make the switch to a virtual marketplace might not necessarily have the skills or the equipment to work with you over the Internet.

This is all well and good – as a consultant you’ll be able to instruct those who are unsure of how Internet marketing works and help them get the virtual presence that’s all but required of businesses in the modern era. The trouble is that with offline customers, you’ll often have to make the first steps in an offline fashion. Which, essentially, means getting back to basics and wooing clients the old fashioned way.

If you’re looking to make a dent in the offline consulting world, as yourself an honest question: are you comfortable with meeting clients face to face? With so many methods of communication available through the Internet these days, it’s not surprising that many who work in online marketing never eve see the people that they’re working with. But if you’re looking to recruit clients from a group of people who might not even have personal computers, you’ll have a bit of a hard time doing business with them over the Internet. This means that you’ll need to brush up on your social interviewing skills – as well as your ability to schmooze in person. Remember those networking classes you took in high school and college? Now is the time to put them to work!

Some of the necessities for those who are looking to work with offline clients include reliable transportation, a good wardrobe, and emergency plans for things like childcare. IF you’re working with clients face to face, you have to be able to carve out time in your schedule to attend only to them. Many who work virtually have forgotten about these basic business tenants – but if you want to transition back to the offline world in order to find clients, your business practices will have to make that transition as well!

If you are aware of the best practices, reselling domain names can earn you a considerable amount of money. There are some factors that you need to consider for this. First of all, you must be able to speculate what names would sell the most and generate most demand. Let us look at all the points one should consider when looking to sell domain names to make some good money out of this business.

How To Choose The Best Selling Names

A small domain name is much more desirable than a large and complicated domain name. It is easier to type and remember for the surfer. Because of this, small domain names are very effective for advertising through word of mouth.

Once you have a domain name, try to get it a good ranking with search engine optimization. This greatly increases the value of the domain name. It can be achieved by good advertising and following the other methods of search engine optimization. Any business that purchases it will have a good ranking and hence get more visitors to their website with the domain name.

Selling Domain Names

Now that you have a good domain name that will get you a good price, how do you go for selling it? It is very simple. Try to go for the various forums, blogs and auctioneering websites and post the domain name and the price you are looking to sell it for. This generally gets a lot of people and businesses getting back to you provided your domain name is good enough.

The best thing to do is to wait for some time before actually selling off the domain name. In the mean time you can check the price of similar domain names and how they are selling. When you feel that the prices being offered are good enough, advertise about the domain name and sell it off at the best price obtained. In this way you can make very good money by selling domain names. Even when you have the domain name parked and are waiting for the best price, you can use it in various ways to generate money. Affiliate marketing, pay-per-click programs, etc are some of the ways for you to go for it.

Domain name reselling business is a great money maker requiring very little effort from you. If you are a bit careful and go for this business intelligently, you can make a lot of money with the minimum effort applied.

People love reviews. One of the reasons why Amazon.com became so popular (and there’s a list the length of the Nile regarding why that site became one of the biggest deals on the Internet since Al Gore) is due to its extensive review system. Customers like to read about those who have bought the product or visited the store before they have done so themselves. Most people these days are savvy enough to realize the point of advertising– they know that commercials are out there for a reason, namely, to make the place of business or the product look good. Reviews, on the other hand, are ostensibly written by those who are not being paid cash to promote the product in a positive light, making potential customers trust them more.

We’re assuming here that you’re running a steady operation that customers like to visit and return to. If you have a business that you’re proud of and you feel as though people would review it positively, then it’s a good idea to put your business in a position where it can garner those positive reviews.

Two great sites to start off with when it comes to getting your place of business reviewed by customers are Yelp and Google Maps. Once you put your site up on these sites, customers can submit reviews – both positive and negative – regarding your offline business and what they thought of it. Both of these sites see a lot of traffic per day, and if you are confident that the masses would review your small business positively, this is a great tool to convince others to stop by your place of business. After all, all businesses know that the best advertising available is the golden word of mouth recommendation – and if you can get positive reviews on a social review site, it’s essentially the same thing. Just virtual.

It’s a good idea to advertise the fact that your business is up on Yelp or Google Maps at your place of business. This will encourage your visitors to write a review on your business, particularly if they’ve had an excellent time. Yelp in particular even allows the business owner to respond to comments left on their business by those who leave reviews. This is a great way to thank customers for their reviews if they’re positive, defend yourself if there is a bad review, or offer your condolences and suggest ways that both you and the customer can ensure a better visit next time if the review is less than glowing.

Social review sites can literally be a way to strike gold when it comes to an offline business’ foray into social media advertising. Even better, assuming that you’re running a legit place of business that the customer is pleased with, you don’t even have to do that much work. Just sign up for a profile and let the positive reviews roll in!

If you don’t know what social media is, you have probably heard of it. The most popular of social media platforms are mentioned in the media daily; Facebook and Twitter. In it’s most basic form social media are internet platforms and tools that encourage sharing and discussing of information among human beings. When it comes to your business it is all about engaging like minded individuals. If you want to find and be found by customers you need to be where they are. Today, that means you have to have a social media presence, because that is where your customers are.

This short report will cover the most critical items you need to be aware of when it comes to social media for your business.

Everyone is on Twitter and Facebook: OK, not everyone is on Twitter and Facebook, but the amount of users are staggering. It is estimated that these two social media hubs have around 700 MILLION users combined. That is a lot of people. Even more surprising is that all age groups and demographics are represented. Some more than others of course, but even the older demographics are steadily growing. It is likely that millions of people interested in your offer are using these social media services

Social Media Is About Engagement: Joining social media sites like Twitter and Facebook isn’t about spamming your offers. It is about engaging with your potential customers. You want to watch and listen to what they are saying about your product or offer online. You want join some of these conversations, and know when not to. You want to offer helpful advice more often than you advertise. The goal of social media is to built a community around your brand or product, only engaging with customers will allow you to do that.

Monitor Your Reputation: Social media makes it easier to share information faster than ever. People seem to love to circulate bad reviews of businesses or professionals. One irate customer can lead to thousands of people seeing their rant in minutes. You want to ensure you have a presence in social media so you can meet these claims heads on. You can defend yourself from any slander, explain misunderstanding or make things right with the customer. Any of these actions will lead to more loyal followers.

Get Staff Involved: The number one complaint I hear is: “I am a business owner, I don’t have the time to be on Twitter and Facebook 24 hours a day.” Great point. Neither do I actually. I don’t think many business people in general do. I have two responses to that. First, it doesn’t take a huge time commitment to do the minimum required to have at least a basic social media presence. Secondly, get your staff involved. Younger staff will often enjoy a task like this. One tip though, make sure you have a couple staff participate, that way if you lose one of them there is no pause in your social media marketing.

Where Do I Start: We have went over why social media is important, and some of the ways you should use it. What should you do if you want to get started today? I think at the very minimum you need a Twitter and Facebook presence. You can set up your Twitter account at Twitter.com. I suggest that you fill out your profile fully and add a picture. On Facebook, you will want to create a personal profile and then use that profile to create a “fan page”. A regularly updated Facebook Fan Page and Twitter account are basic social media steps that all businesses should take.

As a consumer base we are growing more cynical and wary of traditional advertising. If you want to ensure that you can still reach a broad audience then you need to tap into social media. This relatively new technology allows businesses unparalleled access to their customers. At the end of the day you want to be where your customers are, so don’t ignore the 700 million people on Twitter and Facebook.

WordPress offers a lot of advantages when it comes to web publishing. There are a lot of reasons people use WordPress. One of the easiest to use functions of WordPress are widgets. Most WordPress themes come with “widget ready” sidebars. From the back office of WordPress you can drag and drop widgets into your sidebars. Widgets can add such things to your site as:

Calendar

Search

Recent Posts

Categories

Text/HTML

The above list is only touching on the functionality you can add with Widgets. If you want to take it to the next level you can also add widgets that don’t come standard with your WordPress install.

I will share 3 that I have found very handy. Most of these widgets are added by using plugins.

1. Video Widget – This plugin will add a video widget that you can add to your sidebar. It will allow you to choose from over 25 video services. You can control video size within the widget. With this widget you only have to add the video ID as well – no embed code. Lastly, this widget will also allow you to add a list of videos that will be randomly chosen for your visitor.

2. Sexy Bookmarks Sidebar Widget – A quick note first, this plugin works with the original Sexy Bookmarks plugin so you will need that installed for this to work. It is a great and unique social media sharing plugin that you will find handy even if you don’t want this widget. The widget itself will allow you to add Sexy Bookmarks to your sidebar. This widget looks great and should lead to more social media submissions for your site.

3. Flickr Widget – Flickr is one of the best and easiest ways to both store and share your images. With this plugin you will get a Flickr widget that will display your latest Flickr images in your sidebar. The widget will display up to 10 photos from a Flickr photostream.

These 3 widgets are a drop in the bucket compared to all of the widgets available out there. If you want to add something to your sidebar and can’t figure it out – check out the WordPress plugins, they may have an add on widget that will give you exactly what you need.

One last suggestion: Please don’t pack your sidebar so full of widgets it stretches out the screen. it looks sloppy and unprofessional, not to mention people usually don’t scroll beneath your content to see your sidebar so it is wasted.

When used properly widgets can be a powerful addition to your WordPress site.

Internet forum marketing is the form of marketing where you market your business through online discussion groups. First you join a forum and start adding posts to the discussions. You are though not allowed to advertise or market directly through your posts, this is called spamming.

After registering as a member of the forum you can create your own signature file.

In this signature file you can hyperlink a keyword phrase back to your website, which when clicked can bring on the traffic to your site.

The following are the five benefits of forum marketing.

1.	Always remember when you are posting you are helping out someone. It is a great felling when you are of any help to the other person. If you are a believer of the law of when you give you always receive something then online forum marketing is the place for you.

2.	You get to learn a lot for free. When I started my Team-Schuman.com website I never felt the urge to post. I only read other people’s posts. I hung out in the Warrior Forum and learned a lot which helped me grow the business.

3.	You’ll get free advertising from your signature profile. People read your posts and view your signature profile and click on the link for your website. This type of traffic is very passive and a great source of sales.

4.	Search engines would give you credit for a backlink when you hyperlink your keyword phrase back to your website. As for example, my article writer website hyperlinks the phrase article writer. And now we feature in the top 10 on Google because of the backlinks from forum marketing. I try to be very regular and post on these forums several times a week. You can try Google search and you will get a large list of forums and discussion groups. Find the few which has any form of relevance with your business.

5.	One other huge benefit I get is that I acquire ideas to write articles on my blog by going through the different kind of questions people ask. A good question usually stimulates a lot of discussion. Such questions can be made into good articles.

These are several reasons good enough for you to include internet forum marketing to be part of your advertisement strategies. Be consistent and rip the benefits.
