Mark & Anne have been planing their wedding for literally years and it was as if they were old friends when their wedding day finally arrived last weekend. It was a great day for me, especially as the weather was perfect and both family's were clearly looking forward to a great celebration. The reception was held at The Haycock Hotel in Wansford where I also got to catch up with another recommended supplier I see a lot at my weddings - The Acoustic Soul - otherwise known as Murray. I wish Mark & Anne all the best for the future and I look forward to creating your album although I have a feeling it might take you a while to choose your final 100:-)

We hope your well ... just wanted to say WOW!!! we recieved our photos the following day we got back from our honeymoon so that was a nice surprise!!!!!

Last Saturday was another really hot one and it was a pleasure to go back to my roots and photograph an English Country Wedding in the area I grew up as a kid. The ceremony was held at St Leonards Parish Church in Glapthorn and the reception was just next door at Emily's parents stunning country cottage garden which as you can see from the photographs was stunningly beautiful. Just a quick mention to DDW Catering who looked after me just as well as the guests. Congratulations to Emily & Gwilym. I wish you all the best for the future.

It was another very hot day last Saturday at David & Emma's wedding in Lincolnshire. It's always a pleasure to photograph the wedding of such a nice couple with such good friends and close family. Fotheringhay is probably the most beautiful village in Cambridgeshire and one that I know well from my childhood. Not only that but as I discovered it also has probably the best church from a wedding photographers point of view as there is plenty of room and plenty of light. It was a real pleasure to photograph Mark & Kirsty's wedding there on Saturday.

It's been a while since I shot a wedding at The George Hotel in Stamford and it was a pleasure to work there again last Saturday at Helgi and Emma's wedding. It was a really nice day with great weather and The George staff were excellent as usual. My good friend Steve Bean was there playing his guitar throughout the service and reception drinks which complimented the relaxed summers day really well. I wish Helgi, Emma and their beautiful daughter Lilia all the best for the future.

It was a pleasure to be back at Quendon Hall again after such along time. I photographed Cillian & Sarah's wedding back in September 2009, who are friends of Robert & Lindsey. And after seeing Sarah's wedding photographs Lindsey called to see if I was available to do the same for her. It's a great venue with a lovely rural setting. We had spots of rain unfortunately but still managed to fit in the formal groups as well as some soft posing with Robert & Lindsey. We also made good use of the Quendon Halls beautifully decorated rooms and hallways.

Many thanks to Lucy (wedding manager) for recommending me to Richard and Georgina for their wedding at the magnificent Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London. I met Richard and Georgina very briefly in a Coffee Shop around the corner from the wedding venue back in February and it was clear straight away that my style was exactly what they were looking for. It was a great day and I wish them both all the best for the future.

I've been looking forward to this wedding for some time as I'd already photographed a number of Jessica's friend’s weddings over the last few years. It was great to see Alex and Amy, and Ann & Daniel.

The weather always seems to play a large part at any wedding and last weekend was no exception. It rained on and of for most of the day but didn't dampen the celebrations one bit.

It was a pleasure to photograph Jessica and Michaels wedding and I wish them all the best for the future.

I just want to give a special mention to Claire at Blackbrook House for looking after me so well and to compliment her and her staff on an excellent venue, especially the excellent food. I'd be very happy to recommend them to any brides in the future.

Stubton Hall is a relatively new wedding venue in Newark, Lincolnshire. You may have seen my blog post about Mark & Sarah's engagement shoot here back in January. It wasn't the best weather for shooting then either but thankfully I've been bringing the sunshine with me to all my weddings so far this year. If only I could guarantee that as part of the service!

Wadenhoe House...Richard & Hayley, 27th March 2010...

Richard & Hayley were married at Wadenhoe House in Northamptonshire. Wadenhoe House is a Jacobean Manor House set in eight acres of landscaped gardens. It's only a short distance from my home town but for some reason it's escaped my lenses for the last few seasons. I'll be making up for that in the coming months with a number of weddings and hope to make it a regular wedding venue again. It was a mixed bag weather wise at Richard and Hayleys wedding but we managed to make the most of the stunning surroundings when we got a break in the cloud and they both had a great day...

I am very pleased to announce another award to add to my growing collection- The WPJA voted me 5th in the 'Reflections' category of their international competition for 2009. It was the first time I had entered the competition and after this success I'll make sure I enter again very soon.

The Lansdowne Club, London...James & Cheryl, 20th February 2010...

James and Cheryl were married at the popular wedding venue The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London on the 20th February 2010. The Lansdowne Club is another wedding venue that recommend me as their preferred wedding photographer. It's quite some distance to travel from here in Cambridgeshire but always worth it. It's especially good fun to take some frames with the bride and groom out and about on the London Streets. This time it was bitterly cold but I'll get plenty more opportunities as I have another 3 weddings there this year!
