Now some people are born with style…. and whoever owns this ranger is certainly no exception. If you live in a wooden house and have a wood veneer pickup you’d just have to show them off together ! Mountain chic is alive and well folks……

Silverton is hidden within the San Juan mountains, Southern Colorado.

In the summertime, this little town is full of tourists who come to see the fake cowboys and saloon girls.

Now in the depth of winter as the buildings get boarded up the town becomes home to a small bunch of die-hard backcountry skiers.

The studio is full of mountain prints at the moment. I’m trying to make a collection that conveys the awe inspiring magic that these mountains offer whilst staying true to my personal style.

The prints will eventually make an exhibition and book and the 44″ prints will be available in editions of just 20.

This is the mighty Glacier du Tour in the Mont Blanc region of the French Alps.

From the summit of the Aiguille du Chardonnet (3’824m) to the valley floor is a staggering 2’600 vertical meters and only 80 years ago this beautiful glacier stretched all the way down.

The glacier now starts a vertical kilometre higher up the mountain.

So we’re in the studio printing away…. making portfolios for my new French agent www.florencemoll.com and I thought it would be a shame not to show these images. They’re not new… In fact I shot them almost five years ago. It’s amazing what happens when you re-visit a subject though. The colours and grade feel so much more alive than before.

They were shot in West Virginia.

At the beginning of August we went to L.A to shoot these lovely ads for Hyundai’s new talking car. Yep… you ask it a question and it tells you the answer…. I wonder if it knows Michael Knight !

In October we spent the night on a small outcrop of rock between two glaciers.

The place is called La Junction as this is where the Taconnaz and Bossons glaciers split as they work their way slowly down the north side of Mont Blanc.

I wanted to see how the ice looked under the light of a full moon, here are the results.
