My sister in law, her hubby and their adorable babe came to visit us for the weekend. Saturday morning started off early as our little wild child has been waking up WAY before the sun rises. (Hoping daylight savings time helps me out a little in that department.) While everyone was still sleeping (minus wild child by my side) I started to make homemade muffins and brewed some yummy DD coffee. As I went to place the muffins in the oven, to my surprise and dismay it was still cold (after I had preheated for about 15 minutes.) Broken oven. So much for the homemade muffins. Onto the coffee….which was another disappointment. If anything, I needed some good strong coffee that morning. Nope. The coffee pot was also having issues and decided it didn’t want to work either that morning. REALLY!!! Thankfully, I figured out the problem the next day, but all to say it didn’t make my morning any better.

From then on, Sat. was full of a discovery of house woes. (Thankfully, in the midst of it, we had a great time with our company and even got a signed wedding contract from a consultation we snuck off to during Abe’s nap time.) By Sunday morning Seth and I were so discouraged as our huge project list just turned MASSIVE. But God is oh so good to us! We get to church and by the time Sunday School was over, a guy at our church was asking how he could help us! He has already been here and fixed and diagnosed 2 of the problems we discovered this weekend. And we are exchanging services for services! Doesn’t get much than that!

I’m just so thankful for our dear friends and family who have been helping us out. My brother in law got on the roof on Sat. (hubby has a fear of heights. I reassure him all the time, it is ok. He has a TON of AMAZING qualities so who cares if he doesn’t like getting on the roof.) to check out another problem. Then our dear friend Jason has spent 2 nights after work at our house helping Seth fix a leak from our bathroom. He has saved us about $800. Jay-we owe you bigtime! (I’m seeing more photo sessions of his girls in my future.) Now our leak is fixed! Thank you JASON!

We will have a hole in our living room ceiling for another month (I’ve only been looking at it for 3 months now so what’s another month) to make sure the leak is fix, but I’m fine with that. Things are getting done and we have barely spent ANY money! How can I complain! Just when I was really getting discouraged, the Lord showed His faithfulness yet again and we are blessed!

Well, it is true!

Our little home office is being demolished as we transition it into Baby Hope’s new room. We started the process during one of those many snowed in days and clearly we have a long way to go. I’ll calling the whole thing Project Baby Hope. Her room is not just “the project”. You see we have HUGE list of house projects that need to get finished before our little miss enters the Nickerson home. And we have less than 4 months, so some action needs to start asap!

Thankfully, my in-laws are taking our wild little man for ONE WEEK! I can’t believe I am sending my baby to Boston for a WHOLE week. We have never been apart that long. But having a wild, crazy, VERY ACTIVE toddler makes getting the smallest project next to impossible to start yet complete. So on March 22-27 we will be VERY BUSY tackling the massive house project list. Seth is taking the whole week off work and we plan to haul our little booties every hour of those 5 days little man is gone. I will miss him terribly, but I know he will have the time of his life with his Grandma and Papa. It will be good for everyone all around.

So, stay tune as we take on Project Baby Hope! (and for all those who are wondering Hope is not her name!) We are still deciding on a name for our daughter and honestly we wish now we kept her “possible” name a secret. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, but when we do share it, I don’t like how people think that means they can give advice/comments on the name. This name has been tucked away in our “girl names” for 4 years so Seth and I clearly like it. It was WAY better when we kept it a secret like we did with Abel (even though it got old when people would beg us to share the name). So, we have learned that if we make it to Baby #3, don’t even bother asking us about a name, we aren’t sharing it!

And this was my last shot.

One night this week as I was faithfully doing my evening jog on our treadmill and listening to a song called “Healer” by Kari Jobe, it hit me…and it hit me hard. Baby Love was due this week. Tears just started streaming down my face and I couldn’t make them stop. As a mother, I just needed to take that moment and mourn the lost of my child.

I have grown by leaps and bounds this past year and I know God’s timing is best. We wouldn’t have this miracle girl growing inside me if we had Baby August or Baby Love, so I know all things are for His glory and His purpose.

This is something we had made for our 2 babies to honor their lives. A dear friend scripted it for us since I have horrible handwriting. Baby August is the one in the picture since we don’t have a clear picture of Baby Love.

So for my sweet Baby Love:

It was late in June and I thought “could I really be pregnant again?” and low and behold another surprise positive line popped up on the stick. I thought it would be cute to have Abel hold a sign for his daddy when he walked in the door that read “I’m going to be a big brother!” So that day, we colored a big picture for daddy and when he pulled up we proudly displayed Abel’s artwork. Daddy, of course, was surprised but thrilled.

I felt nauseous and exhausted while pregnant with you. We anxiously awaited our first sonogram. The day came and it was such a wave of emotions and confusion. The doctors could only see a yolk sac. We knew you were there but weren’t sure what God was teaching us. We went the following week and there you were, a little bean at just 6 weeks 3 days, but no heartbeat. We couldn’t give up on you just yet, so we went back praying for a miracle baby, but the following week’s sonogram showed us that you were already with Jesus.

We were told there was a problem and that you might have had Downs Syndrome due to the slow growth. We won’t know until we get to heaven, but we do know that you are now made perfect! I often wonder if God knew Baby August needed a sibling while he waited for the rest of his family to join him in heaven so maybe God thought it best that you join him. Whatever the reason, God had a perfect plan for you. Though it be short, your life had meaning and purpose.

You will forever be etched in my heart and soul. We love you, Baby Love!

We stayed at the cutest little beach house in Ocean Grove, NJ. Chrissy’s hubby’s grandparents own it and they were gracious enough to let 6 crazy girls stay there. It doesn’t get much better than hanging around in your pjs with your best gals eating and talking the night away.

I love them all so much and it was just the perfect weekend.

My dear sweet Care Bear is moving to BOISE next week! I still can’t believe it! She was my roommate for 3 years and has always lived somewhat close to me so I am going to miss her SO MUCH! She is the cutest and single!

We gave her a little something to help her out in her new city.

PS-Chrissy, the one holding the card, is pregnant with baby girl Janie. We are due one week apart!!!

Yes, that is snow on the sand.

My boys did just fine without me. I never worried about them either!

She showed a very “calm” side of herself this morning. The sonogram took a bit longer because little miss refused to move. (We are hoping this is a sign of being calm and not stubborn!) The doctor had to come in which made my heart start racing, but it was just because she was being a bit difficult to get a good reading of her heart. But the doctor assured us she looks great!

We are THRILLED to have a girl!!!

Honestly, we would be just as happy if they said “boy”. We just wanted to hear healthy! We are praising God for his goodness!!!

She is measuring a week ahead too….just like her brother!

Everyone keeps asking “so when do you find out?” And honestly, all that goes through my head when I hear that question is “please dear God let our baby be healthy!” We will just be beyond THRILLED if we hear the word “healthy” boy or girl! Either one will fit great into our family. Of course, it is so exciting to find out the sex, but it is so different with this pregnancy. For the first 15 weeks or so, I would wake up and think “is the baby ok today?” It’s just hard coming off 2 miscarriages. You don’t forgot them. It’s harder to relax, to get excited. But finally, my mind was eased when I  started feeling movement every day. And let me tell you Baby Hope is possibly just as active as Abel was in the womb. (makes me a little nervous!) ha!

I’m clearly growing. Here I am at 19.5 weeks!
