I watched this weeks Glee last night… I think it should have come with trigger warnings, gay bashing, suicide, car accidents… It was alot to take, even if I didn’t like the characters. I think it’s wonderful that Glee is addressing these issues, but a few things took me back to events in my past that are difficult to deal with.

The gay bashing confuses me, not because I don’t know it happens, I grew up in a town that it was normal, with gay friends. The confusing part, why did no one step up and talk to Karofsky when it was obvious he was being tormented? Are there no kind hearts in kids anymore, I find that hard to believe. When my friends (or anyone really) where being picked on because of what they identified as I was there, being protective as possible, being a ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. I plan on raising my child(ren) to be the same, to stand up to the bullies, whether it’s them that are being picked or not.

A hug, a kind word, friendship, and having someones back can do alot for someone in pain. Lets all remember that, and help those in pain. I will always help the underdogs, I will always be there for people who need me… it’s just who I am.

Tetris Desk Lamp of the Day: The Tetris Company has unveiled an officially-licensed Tetris desk lamp that includes light-up versions of all 7 of the game’s famous tetrominos.

The pieces can be stacked any way you want, and they light up when they touch. And unlike in actual Tetris, I’m pretty sure you’d win if you managed to pile up enough of these to reach all the way to the ceiling.

The lamp will be available in September and retail for around $50.

I woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. I didn’t realize it until I turned off my white noise machine, which was also playing a thunderstorm.

I love the way a thunderstorm sounds, peaceful and violent at the same time.

Of course this means there are drivers freaking out & loosing their ability to drive all over Nashville, that sound means a longer commute.

I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I don’t want anything to change, but I want a puppy, and I am afraid it will ruin everything. But I still want it.
I want a Peekapoo, if you find one in your local shelter, rescue him (I want a boy), and bring him to Nashville, I am a wonderful hostest.
My head has hurt continuously for days. Sucking it up & pressing on.
Monday *might* be the most important day of my career. Send me good energy, prayers, whatever you do on Monday at approximately 11 a.m. CST.
To those that would send me negative energy during that time, stop being a D-Bag, I can block that crap.
I bought myself a ring on Saturday. Slobaum ordered me a custom made ring from Etsy for Valentines, but it hasn’t arrived yet. It’s going to be lovely.
I look like an 80’s MTV Goddess today.
I’ll be 31 in 21 days. I am very glad that those numbers are not reversed.
I am excited & scared about CHSH. I don’t do well in crowds, so it’s scary.
This weekend I am getting dressed up and going to an Advertising Awards thing for work. My hose and my shoes haven’t arrived, but according to the tracking numbers, they are in the city. They better arrive. I’m going for a whole retro look, my hose have a seam up the back.
I have old friends I would love to see. Daman, Danya, Lesliedoodle you are on the top of my list.

In Case You Missed It of the Day: Speaking of which, Amy Poehler returned to Saturday Night Live last night to reunite with former Weekend Update co-host Seth Meyers for a special birth-control segment of “Really?!?” which delved into all the wacky, anachronistic mishegas the Republicans were up to this week.

On the one hand, I hope Amy returns to Weekend Update more often. On the other hand, I hope it’s not because there’s enough material to make this birth-control segment a weekly feature.
