This was such a great/fun way to celebrate/document/capture/enter your own synonym for 3 generations of women. We have Grandma, Mom, and Little Miss Personality :) We had a good time and I don't think I have to say anymore cuz I bet you can tell just by looking at the pictures that you can guess how things went down ;)

This wedding was in a word, darling. The little details really made this wedding memorable and really personable. This couple's wedding made everyone in attendance feel like their best friend.

Oh the pretty leaves are fleeting already. At least we were able to capture them along with this great family. The little girl loved playing with the leaves and the acorns. Which were called flowers and rocks. Adorable and so smart. She's 18 months old and knew a bunch of animal sounds and can do puzzles!

I'm so tickled to be able to show off this girly. She is so gorgeous and I wanted to go shopping right afterwards so I could copy her outfits. I also was this close to wanting to sign up for a ballet class after watching Mikelle gracefully and effortlessly show me some of her ballet moves on top of a waterfall. So beautiful, so elegant, so much fun.

Pictures can't go wrong when Fall foliage is your backdrop. Plus this family made posing seem effortless. I'm telling you their eyes and smiles were great in every single picture! That had never happened to me before. Not that I try to press the shutter release at the exact moment you yawn for blink but it does happen. But not this time! Even when little Miss Livvi isn't looking at the camera, her expressions are priceless. Perfecto!

Parents versus kids. Boy versus girls. Dad versus everyone else. Whatever the combination, who ever the victor is, tug o war is ALWAYS a blast.

Cedar has one of the best pet stores, ever! The animals are the nicest, calmest animals that I've ever been in contact with and I've been to many pet stores around tons of animals so I know what I'm talking about. And you know why? Because they let you play with ALL the animals (except the fish for obvious reasons.) I think every pet store should do this. FYI- Reptile room HUMID

What a great way to bond with one another, as a couple. Animals are really great therapy too. It was a blast watching these two interact with the animals and with each other.

I love this family. How cool are they for all coming out in their pjs and having a pillow fight complete with crazy feathers in the middle of nowhere. Part of the mission of this series is to get real emotions and what is more real then a bed found in the middle of nowhere LOL. It's art people it's art! FYI one down pillow is all that is needed for a huge pillow fight mess of feathers.

I'm in my LAST semester of school (finally). One of the photo classes I'm taking is called Business Practices for Photographers which I LOVE. We had to individually come up with a project series of photos that we would work on the whole semester that would also help us grow as a photographer. It was really hard at first to come up with something that I really liked but once I got this idea my excitement exploded.

I want to "capture" the essence of families( and couples) and how they interact with one another without being self conscious or posed for family pictures like the norm. We will set up an activity and then I will take pictures of the event taking place. Most of the ideas for the shoots are really hands on and interactive.

The Edgel Family were my first volunteers and I had them participate in a family paint fight. Each person got a different color and paint brush. It was a BLAST. They are even eager volunteers for other shoots.

Now that this pretty lady is married. I get to post her Bridals! She looked absolutely beautiful and we had so much fun. I've been wanting to post these since I finished editing them, but since the Groom was not allowed to see the dress especially on his Bride until the day of, I had to say to myself over and over, "Do NOT post Jessica's Bridals." I think they were well worth the wait to post.

I've been waiting to take this little lady's pictures for quite sometime and we finally got to play together! Her features are so defined and perfect.

Zaya is modeling some items made by the awesome shop Lil' Kahuna Crochet. Check them out, the head wear is for sale ;)

2012-09-05T08:03:00.001-07:00

My baby is one! I think a first birthday shoot aka cake smash session are one of the funnest/priceless photo shoots. The expressions that the baby pulls when eating the cake are AWESOME. Since this one was my own baby boy I made the cake myself (as well as the bow tie last minute...THANK YOU PINTEREST!) As I was mixing the cake batter I kept giving Finn little tastes to get him interested but in a tantalizing way (I'm such a mean mommy :) but he didn't disappoint us and the teasing paid off.) We had so much fun!!!

We were up north for this session so we could party with family and my sister in law Krissi, who is a videographer, did a video of the shoot as well. A great way to go along with pictures of a cake smash session.

After Finn was done eating I decided to continue the fun with giving him a bubble bath. He had so much fun. I think I might include the bubble bath as an option to the finale of a Cake Smash session since we have to clean up the baby anyway.

I have Pandora on or a movie while I'm editing pictures. When it's pandora, it's on shuffle between disney songs(for the boys, we have impromptu dance parties), today's hits, and movie soundtracks. Not even kidding while editing these pictures the disney station played Big and Chunky from Madagascar 2 and then movie soundtracks station played Mr. Holland's Opus Beautiful Boy. It's like Pandora saw my screen..... Haha! Bizarre..... Little/Big Ammon is a beautiful big and chunky boy. He's part of the 9 ponder club and was 22 inches long! I love all his rolls and wrinkles.

I had TWICE as much fun on this shoot! Oh my goodness I could swim in these two pair of eyes all day. I love seeing the different personalities of babies develop and it's so fun to see the comparison especially in twins.

Engagements are one of my favorite sessions to do.

It gives me the opportunity to really get to know the bride and groom and who they are together. This couple made me want to say "AW" all the time. From the way they met, to how he proposed, and then during the shoot he pulls out his guitar and plays for her, it was just all so romantic and cute. I can't wait for their wedding. I'm sure my jaw is going to get tired from going "AW" a whole lot more.

Ruegar/ Cedar City, UT/ Baby Photography

2012-08-03T17:10:00.001-07:00

I love baby Ruegar, he comes from one of the coolest, cutest families I know. You want to try photograph newborns when they are between 7-10 days old because they are so moldable, less red and will stay asleep. Ruegar surpassed all these requirements. He slept the WHOLE time and I really didn't even had to mold him. I would place him in the set and he would naturally place his arms into perfect position. Such a good boy. Oh and after we took a bunch of pictures in different poses, I asked what is nursery was decorated with. The answer- Blue Owls :) Would you call that intuition or what!?!

The awesome chica who started Operation Tonergy by Nikki.

Operation Tonergy is a fitness and nutrition based class that is being offered to the smaller communities of Southern Utah (I'm told it will be coming to Cedar soon.) It's designed to integrate a killer work out and a fat burning nutritional program to reach your goals. I like to follow Tonergy's Facebook page because Nikki is always putting healthy recipes, workout tips, motivation, and challenging work outs. Nikki is AH-MA-ZING! She loves exercise and is a great motivator to get out there and DO!

These girls are my son's best friends. He says he's even going to marry the oldest and when they're "mahweed" they're going to dance. Yep Dance. I don't know where he came up with that because my husband and I rarely take a spin on the dance floor. Haha!
During this shoot we got to see the sassy side of the girls, which turned out adorable but we only got a glimpse of the happy girls that they usually are so I think we'll do another shoot but give them loads of candy right before so they'll have a sugar buzz and be super duper happy.

This woman is my inspiration. She has had 4 kids! You can't even tell I know! I've started training with her and you should too! She'll make you feel like a million dollars and hopefully we will look like a million bucks at the end just like her.

This new little one was as precious as could be. She was a good little baby that slept the whole time we were taking her pictures and was tiny and moldable enough that she could be put in a basket. Love it!

I had a hard time narrowing down which pictures to post and even what ones to edit because this kid was cute in every picture. Even when he wasn't looking at my camera he was being adorable. He kept on trying to pick up these humongous rocks and throw him in the river. When he succeeded in this venture you could tell he was so proud of himself with a big huge grin on his face.

The big sister in this session is just about my little boy's age and they are like two peas in the pod. When she wasn't taken pictures they were running around together. Oh to be young and have an endless amount of energy.
