Also I was so excited to see that I had been featured on the Senior Portraits Forum the other day, how exciting! (Click the picture to be taken to the featured post)

Sunday night we raced out to the old set of the movie Big Fish (Spectre, AL)  and were able to spend a few minutes shooting before it got dark. Cait was gracious enough to give me an opportunity to shoot outside of my normal style so this was a fun change of pace from the norm.  I also had a brief opportunity to meet the owner of the property, he was so nice!

I was really happy to get to spend some time with her, I *knew* her because I had watched her at football last year (she is the majorette for the band for my sons’ school system) so now it will be even more of a pleasure to watch her perform this year!

I saw this eyeliner at Sephora about a month ago (I’m a big Sephora fan, can you tell?) and I loved all the fun colors that this eyeliner comes in:

I’m pretty boring when it comes to makeup, I tend to go with the browns and golds mainly with my blue eyes and fair skin (okay, really more like could-use-a-trip-to-the-beach-to-get-some-color is the more accurate way to describe my skin haha!) so I ended up picking up the glitter brown (6th one over) and I almost grabbed the glitter taupe next to it because I REALLY like that color too. The taupe is $3 bucks online, I wonder if it is in the store too? That is crazy cheap.

Anyhow, its not like “12 year old goes crazy with glitter” but more like “strong hint of shimmer” and the shape of the wand makes it easy to hold the brush. I totally recommend picking up a fun color that complements your eyes for summer!  Now. . . if I could just master putting it on straight so I don’t look like a hot mess with it on but that is another story

I got this little stick at Sephora for around $20 and it looks like you can get one at Ulta as well. It comes in 3 colors, gold, white pearl, and pink pearl so I chose the gold because I didn’t want something that was too extreme for day to day wear (I think the model in the above picture is wearing the white and the gold is no where near as  . . . bright. . . LOL)

It has two ends and the product is actually in the lids for the sponge applicator so everytime you take the lid off the product is freshly applied. The reason there are two ends is because it has a shimmer end and a matte end. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the matte side for daytime wear and just a bit of the shimmer side in the inner eye corner (you know where that little dark area is.)

I don’t put it on the upper brow like in the picture, I think that’s a little much, don’t you?

I’ve only had this for a few weeks but I think it will last for a long time and it’s one of my favorite items right now.
