I have missed you guys so much!!!! A little update on me if you are interested.

I am a little too mushy to you guys.hahaha How have you all been doing? This is my first real post in 2012.. and it is March now!!! oh how time flies...

As I said in my previous post I have been busy.. That's the main reason I disappear.However, if you added me on FB you will know I am a frequent there. Though not as much as I want to, but sufficient enough for you to know what is going through my mind.

The start of 2012 was not a good one. Even the ending of 2011 is far from good but you have to make do with whatever you have isn't it? I knoooow that there are more sad, horrible things happening to other people out there but when the problems come to you they seem to be bigger. Way bigger that what you expect them to be. The emotional burden that you carry.. only God knows how heavy.... I am so lucky in some way to have very good friends around. Who spend their precious time listening to me rambling about my stuff not once but OVER and OVER again. not that I am over my problems now.. They are still there.. part of it anyway but they are not as big as they used to be.. I realized this after I found a better purpose in life. A goal.. A vision of what I want to be 5 years from now. I sometimes get swayed in my thoughts where I often forget my goal but God never fails to remind me. A kick in the butt usually do the trick..

Just remember all the problems you have will appear smaller if you have purpose in life. If something is trying to stop you, step back and look at the bigger picture. Never zoom in to your problem unnecessarily, talk to a good friend, pour your heart out..You may not feel like doing anything other than sulking on your bed all day long. I say sulked! sulked a week max then get on with life. No matter what your problem is NEVER let your life stop there.The earth is still spinning even when you sleep.

I got disappointed with so many people earlier this year. Having disappointment towards someone who really matters to you (be it bf, friends, family etc..etc) is not a good feeling to have. To me the feeling kills.Unfortunately, you cannot change someone or you can't make someone stay they way they are back when you first know them.. People move on, if they step forward and never look back (harsh truth), you may not want them in your life either. No matter how a person's attitude can change, their values will remain the same.If you meant something to them, you will always be precious.

Earlier this year I have so much negative energy in me that it drags me down so much, then I came across this list. This is not an extraordinary list. You may know it, heard of it, even practice it before. But when problem hit you everything you seem to know or advise to people is flushed down the toilet.

30 THINGS TO STOP DOING TO YOURSELF

Stop trying to hold onto the past. – You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one.
Stop berating yourself for old mistakes. – We may love the wrong person and cry about the wrong things, but no matter how things go wrong, one thing is for sure, mistakes help us find the person and things that are right for us. We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come.
Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

Twist and Pout : Not just your ordinary lip moisturizer.

I am pretty much attracted to this product because of the packaging. They are just so.. pretty! This is not your ordinary lip balm stick. This is a fashion statement!!! You have to agree with me on this.The packaging itself is irresistible and there are plenty of design to choose from!

I first heard about this from Serendipity. When they first bring this in I was wowed to no end!!! They are really pretty! lol I said pretty too many times didn't I? Still I keep my composure, didn't lose control. I have not been spending unnecessarily so I will not cave in for a lip balm! After few weeks or so came in the email saying they are waiving postage fee!! There goes my strong will

I have been earning cult points from them so I redeem this lip balm with the points I have accumulated over the months. I got myself two of these pretty baby! I have high hopes for this you see! To see if I am really satisfied, do read on..

Since I have bragged about how pretty the packaging is. Let me show you the close up pictures and some explanation before I move on to the lip balm itself.

Twist and pout come with detachable ring (rim) with a clasp and a charm attached to it.

If you are worried that your ring (rim) might get rusty, don't be. They are not made from metal.Only the clasp and charm is.

No doubt with the ring, your T&P will be bulkier and heavier, not to worry, you can always detach them. T&P is still cute even on its own.

To me the key chain is pretty useful. You can hook your lip balm to your clutch, handbag..or even your bikini. lol

This is how your T&P look like when you first open it. Pull out the seal and you will see the product.

When I first look at the real product behind the seal I was surprised. It was different. As you can see from the picture I took from the website the product seem to be protruding out from the bottom half. Similar with EOS lip balm when in fact in real life T&P does not look that way. They do not even go beyond the tip... I do mind because I have to dip my finger in the product instead of just swiping the product directly on my lips..

Putting the fact that the illustration is not the same with the product you are getting, the lip balm itself is pretty nice. They do keep lips soft and moisturize but they certainly will not help in treating chapped lips.

T&P comes in two different types, clear and shimmer. The one I have with me is shimmer.

From the pot, the lip balm look pinkish with micro pink and green shimmers. On my lips, they look glossy and sparkly without any noticeable tint.

According to their website this smells citrus-y. To me, they do not. Well maybe a little but more of a sweet scent.
Lastly, the biggest turnoff that may refrain me from repurchasing this in the future is the taste of the lip balm. They are so freaking sweet! Very sweet! It feels as if you are putting sugar syrup on your lips. Very impossible not to lick your lips! Plus the sweet scent lingers just below your nose and you know that it will taste exactly how it smells.. Tell me how can you resist that?

Nice scent

Keep lips soft and moisturize

Cons:

Very sweet taste
Does not treat chapped lips
Not hygienic application (by dipping in fingers into the pot)

Conclusion
Th biggest turnoff for me is the sweet taste. But I do believe some of you might actually love the lip balm because of this, so if you are not like me ( I hate lip product with taste) this lip balm is definitely for you! Gorgeous packaging with not so overwhelming scent. Plus once you run out, you can just buy the refill at a much cheaper price instead of buying the whole thing.

I went for my signature treatment in One Utama. The One Utama outlet was small but the decor is gorgeous. Their website says it all.

The highlight of my visit was to found out that Honeypot Wax Boutique in One Utama do serve male customer. If you wanna go down butt naked and show some skin do it in style and be well groomed! Honeypot offers full waxing services. They even have aftercare products made and sold exclusively for them. I will get to the products at the end. Let me take you on a little tour in the One Utama outlet. They have four rooms in total.

As I mentioned earlier, I had a pleasant visit. My therapist handle my treatment professionally. I do feel a little pain but the treatment was over before I even realize it. She was efficient! I had quite a chat with her too. lol

They are very hygienic, Honeypot does not double dip their spatulas and they use disposable spatulas, gloves and cotton bedspread.

They uses hot wax on sensitive area and strip wax on other parts. The only downside is you don't get to choose what kind of wax you want, in terms of flavor. So gents, you have to go for the cherry pie too.. like us ladies...

My Buy: Inglot Rainbow Eyeshadow Swatches

Finally! After the long wait, Rainbow colours from Inglot is finally here! Initially they posted on FB that each pan gonna be RM38. Good news!!! They are retailing for RM36 only. Remember the normal square eyeshadow pan? They used to retail at RM28 but now they are RM30. No idea why the price increased. Anyway still affordable!

They are 20 colours to choose from. If you are just an end user like me, there is no point in buying all 20 because most of the light neutral shades are pretty similar to each other. I picked out 5 shades for myself and seriously picking the browns is a bit harder since I plan only to get a pan of browns.

My purchase. 5 shades with 3's Freedom System.

3's Freedom System is retailing for RM22

Planning to store my eyeshadow pan in Unii Palette instead of the Freedom Palette. But I realised I might need to buy another 2's Freedom System (RM16) for travel purposes ;)

I am cutting back a lot on cosmetic for the past months and I am happy to say I succeed! I caved in for Rainbow Eyeshadow this time because I needed matte eyeshadow so badly! I do have my 88 matte eyeshadow palette but they are just not travel friendly. Unlike this, I have 3 colours in one pan! Loving the brown(107R) and the black(120R) very much! Let see if I can replace my Naked with this. After all for Naked, I only use naked and buck.

L.A Colors Sheer Tube Lipgloss in Brown Sugar

I've got my very first L.A Colors product last September when my best friend came back from UK. The lipgloss is impressive for the price! and I am pretty sure all of you know that L.A Colors gives you a decent quality of products at a cheaper price.

L.A Colors Sheer Tube Lipgloss spoils you with 12 choices of shades. As the title says, I unfortunately only have one to show you.

This is what they say on the website:

A moisturizing sheer lipgloss with a touch of color for an irresistible shine. Squeezable tube with felt tip applicator provides smooth and easy application.

So here is a short review on the L.A Lipgloss.

The lipgloss comes in a squeeze tube packaging with attached felt tip.

I personally don't fancy this kind of applicator mainly because it is not hygienic at all. Comparing this to the normal doe foot or brush applicator that is separable from the packaging itself, this has to be the last in my list. Plus I don't really like squeeze tube packaging. Mainly because the only 2 squeeze tube lip product I have (this and OCC Lip Tar) , both leaked! They leave such a mess. Screwing the cap tight won't even help.

Enough on the negative side, putting aside the awful packaging, I love the shade! I am actually pretty confused, the lipgloss is under their Sheer Tube Lipgloss but my Brown Sugar is no where near sheer. Not that I complain..just saying.

Love the shade.

The texture of the lipgloss is a bit sticky but it is not the type where, whenever the wind blows your lips will definitely catch a strand of hair. The scent is yummy too. It has sweet candy scent to it. Like sugar syrup but Tasteless (if you are curious..hehehe).

the staying power is pretty decent tho. However it won't last through a meal.

Another point to remember, do exfoliate your lips prior application. Make sure they are in the most plumplicious and well moisturized state. This lipgloss will definitely highlight dry and chapped lips.

Pros:

Yummy scent

Last a decent amount of time of your lips (without meal)

Affordable price

Cons:

Not a good packaging

Highlight chapped lips

Not hygienic applicator (felt tip)

Conclusion

A friend of mine bought this for £1 which is considerably cheap after conversion but if you are getting this through spree I bet it will cost more. Comparing this to Nyx and Elf, I would definitely go for Elf lipgloss even though both won't stay as long as L.A Lipgloss. Do remember the swatches of shades they have up on their website is no where near what you gonna get!!

I just wanna show you something funny (to me it is..lol), I received in the mail few days ago.. I wanted a nice decent watch something elegant but yet young (am I making sense here?) and simple. When HiShop is having watch promo up on their site, I was excited to check it out. Well, I did.

I never come across Christian Audiger brand before, but I know it is part of Ed Hardy. I was a little skeptical at first. If you don't know Ed Hardy brand, here is how their stuff normally look like..

What if my watch turns out to be like a rockstar watch (wth is a rockstar watch anyway?) I ignored my instinct BECAUSE the promo is TOO good to resist. Girls, I am not sure about you but I am pretty sure that when I see OFF 80% I go INSANE.. like this---> Doesn't even matter if the stuff on sale is a necessity or lust (mostly lust). I kinda have this demon at the back of my head whispering :
So cheap!!! BUY! how can you resist that?!This offer may not come twice! Find how to use it or where to use it or why you buy it later on!!! for now just BUY!

FINE! Demon wins!!! I bought it. Not exactly cheap but blinded for a moment because of the 80% off = RM198

Here is the funny part... The watch finally arrived after more than a month (some hiccup in the delivery from USA to Malaysia). I got very excited to to see whats inside.

Until I see the actual size of the watch!!!!! Okay I did measure and estimate the dial size according to measurement given BUT how the heck my measurement went so off!!! Plus from the picture the size look just fine.. right?

WRONG!
It turn out to be even bigger than what I had expected.

Never mind that... Remember when I say I want an elegant yet young and simple watch?? I don't mind the watch having stones. Because I love diamonds.. even when this is just Swarovski.

Well aside from the size of the watch being larger than I thought it would be. The watch strap!!!!

So long!!! At first I thought " how nice of them to give extra strap" UNTIL I finally realised that the strap are meant to be THAT way and are meant to be wore like this--->

I laughed so hard at myself. Well.. after realising how stupid I was, I finally come to a conclusion that I will never wear the watch. I was never into rock or punk style. But I guess I am wrong. I actually kinda like it with plain shirt and jeans Well elegant gone wrong this time

Anyway looking past the fact that I wanted an elegant watch, this watch is pretty nice. I love the bling bling inside, which is why I almost ordered Phospor through Reebonz but the price is damn expensive! Turns out demon win this time. Lucky me. If not I'll waste RM198 when I could have bought more eyeshadows!

Lip Smacker Paul Frank Lip Balm in Julius' Coconut Cream

I am still confused on why I bought this lip balm. I wasn't sure if it is because of the cute packaging, or because it is lip smacker.One thing I am VERY definitely sure is I do not need another lip balm. Because I have like 6 lip balms (or do I have more?) in my drawer. Anyway I couldn't resist!!!

I grabbed two. A cotton candy and coconut cream! I will only be able to tell you how I feel about the coconut cream because I have given away the cotton candy in my September Giveaway :)

I bought mine in Watson Singapore end of September because this will definitely take its own snaily time to reach Malaysia. True enough, the first time I saw this is Watson in Malaysia was early this month. This cost SGD4.90 in Singapore but in Malaysia this is retailing for RM12.90

Nothing special about the packaging. The lip balm comes in a standard size twist bottom. And the lip balm is in off-white stick.

The Coconut Cream reminds me of a yummy cocoa butter!!! Delicious! No taste to it whatsoever and it feels good on the lips too. Application wise, this goes on smoothly. Sometimes certain lip balm can be a little dry and hard in texture where you do have to put a little pressure to transfer the product onto your lips and where you kinda tug your lips? None with this. The lip balm seems to melt as soon as it touches your lips but not as fragile as my Fresh lip balm.

Ingredients:

The lip balm is moisturizing but it didn't stay long enough, so you have to keep reapplying and once the lip balm is off your lips, your lips won't feel as moisturize as when it is on. Even though this lip balm doesn't work so well in treating my lips, this lip balm is a super nice and fun treat to keep or to giveaway! The packaging is just adorable! The scent stays on as long as the lip balm is on your lips. I like!

Conclusion:

I buy this for fun, I would not recommend if you have severe chapped lips because I don't believe in drugstore lip balm. So far what I believe in seems to be true :) Drugstore lip balms do moisturize but they DO NOT treat.

PS: I am done with my first tube of Jack Black Natural Mint and Shea Butter few days ago. Trying out new flavor, Lemon and Chamomile now ;)

I followed Kassie and recently she blogged about Perfectly Imperfect and it caught my attention. So here is mine!

I never fancy seeing my bare face in the mirror. When I do, I will start squeezing all my zits and feel depressed. But when someone you love tells you, you are beautiful even when you feel awful just by the mere thoughts on what you gonna see in the mirror, you somehow feel confident. And confidence is all you need :)

If you have something you don't like about yourself, don't worry...Everyone have a thing a two they don't like about themselves too.

My flaws:

Whiteheads, acne.

Thin eyebrow

Sharp chin

Small mouth, thin lips

Things I love:

My dark circles are not so bad, considering my sleeping time.

My skin (in general)

My lips colour

My eyes (even though they are kinda small XP)

While it is good to be able control how you want to look with makeup, it is a good feeling to know that you smile when you look at your bare face in the mirror.

After all remember:

Naruko Apple Seed & Tranexamic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum

I am finally done with my second bottle of serum from Naruko, Apple Seed and Tranexamic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum. The first serum was Naruko Marjoram and Lavender Brightening Serum. Overall this serum is good. It worked better than the first serum I tried.

From the serum name itself, it is obvious that the product contains Appleseed extract and Tranexamic Acid. Appleseed extract will help in smoothing out fine lines and aids in anti-aging. While Tranexamic Acid, is widely use in Japan as a whitening product. Tranexamic Acid is a Tyrosine inhibitors that can block melanin synthesis so that the spots do not thickens, expand and increase.

I am attracted to anything natural and this serum actually got me hooked with its scent. A lot of people may not fancy Apple Cider Vinegar scent(fyi I love Cider beer!!) but I guess I am the minority. On the bright side, the scent is not too strong. The scent of my serum does change after a month, I tried to get the last bit of it out to snap a picture for review. From cider vinegar to a less sour scent.

I have to give a negative points on the packaging. The serum comes in plastic pump bottle. It is very hard to get the serum out the first time as well as when the serum in the bottle starts to run low. For the first time, I need to pump several time before I could get the serum to come out and it came spurting out. When the serum is running low, I have to tap the bottle before I could pump the serum out. Such a hassle.

Texture wise, the serum is a bit creamy as you can see above. But rest assured the serum is very lightweight. It even turns watery once you start rubbing it in. The serum is a little sticky in the beginning but after I pat all the serum in, my skin feels soft and smooth. I made a point to shake my serum bottle each time before I pump the product out because sometimes when I forget the serum got separated to whitish cream and clear liquid.

Claims the serum promise to deliver and my experience while using them.

Glycolic Acid and Malic Acid, will penetrates deep in pores and extract excess oil and skin cells that are clogging up your skin : I do not see any improvement in the amount of whiteheads I get even though after going through extraction few days earlier.
Appleseed extract and Vitamin A,tightens pores inside out : No obvious pore minimizing effect because for my case, as long as I keep my pores on my cheeks clean they are hardly noticeable while the pores on my nose are there no matter what I do..
3% Tranexamic Acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Arbutin, to brightens dark spot, freckles and minor acne scar by penetrating deep into pores : Didn't notice my freckles got any lighter but it definitely helps in healing my minor acne scar and help with the discolouration.
Zinc will control oil by unclogging pores and getting rid of excess oil : This helps in keeping my T-Zone less oily. Especially if I follow up with Apple Seed & Tranexamic Acid Soothing White Night Gelly.

Conclusion:

The fact that this product contains the highest content of Tranexamic Acid in the market - 3% (approved by Taiwan FDA) helps in speeding up the healing process of my skin discolouration caused by acne. I like this serum mainly because of its texture. It doesn't weigh my skin down and feel sticky (but do remember to pat it in).This product is affordable but I ran out of it pretty fast. I use day and night at the size of 10cent and it lasted for about 2 weeks only. I might get this again once I am done with my Naruko Rose & Snow Fungus Aqua Cubic Complex.

Enuca Clear Me Out Serum ( For Acne )

One bottle of Enuca serum down! Another 3 to go! As I previously mentioned in my Enuca post, Enuca was generous enough to provide each blogger 4 serums (1 full size of my choice and 3 travel size) and a full size HD powder.

Packed with refined active botanicals from the Swiss Alps, this serum promise to soothe troubled skin by correcting sebum production, hyperkeratosis, inflammation and bacteria proliferation.

As you can see the serum bottle came in rather striking fun colour! Even when the colour of the bottle screams youth and fun they didn't neglect the quality of the bottle. The serum is stored in a sturdy glass dropper bottle.

Dropper bottle = good control over the amount of serum you want out, no more wastage.

After spending a good 2 weeks on this serum I finally finished up the travel size and ready to share my thoughts.

Packaging wise, I do believe that they spend a good amount of time and effort in making it special. For the full size serum, the bottle come in a cute little box that can be recycled as a drawer! How cute!

The texture of this serum is a little bit runny. The consistency is pretty similar with water. This serum does appeal to me specifically because of its texture, after applying there is no stickiness to it at all. As the name suggest this serum is targeted towards acne skin. However the formulation of the serum is non drying (do make sure your skin is well moisturized if you plan to spend the day in an air-conditioned room). Very lightweight and absorbed into the skin easily. It feels as if you have nothing applied.

One of the ingredient is Salicylic Acid known for its ability to fight acne and exfoliates pores. My expectation was a little too high, so I guess I was a little disappointed to find out two weeks later getting rid of my acne completely was not part of the guaranteed result. My acne did not vanish miraculously but the serum does helps with my congested pores. My pores get congested less frequent.

This serum does not dry out my acne but it helps in preventing whiteheads to form which could lead to cystic acne.

Great things about this product:

Here are the few claims that the serum promise to deliver and my opinion on them:

Do bear in mind that I have only used this serum for 2 weeks.

Fight acne: Helps in preventing clogged pores which could lead to acne, yes. But not fighting existing acne.
Reduce size of pores: Did not notice much difference.
Mattifying: Only for few hours.
Gentle exfoliation: Does a decent job in exfoliating my pores. I get less whiteheads while using the serum.
Balancing: I only notice the balancing for few hours after application. At the end of the day (which is about 9 hours) my T-Zone is still shiny.

From my experience of 2 weeks using the Clear Me Out serum, I wouldn't recommend this for severe acne skin as it doesn't help in drying out cystic acne. In my opinion, someone with minor congested pores problem would benefit this more rather than someone with acne problems. For this serum to work more effectively, extraction is need. It is best to get the existing gunk out from your pores before treating your pores. Do buy the travel size if you want to try out.

You can only purchase this online. Unfortunately, they only ship within Malaysia for the time being. 7ml for RM65, 30ml for RM188.

Kila doll Trenaxamic Acid Whitening Mask

I saw this brand available in Guardian early of this month. Since I am a sheet mask convert now I have to check this out. I turned the box over to look at the ingredients and since water is the last ingredient listed, I decided to give this brand a try. I got myself a trial pack that consist of five mask which cost me RM19.90. Since sheet mask normally gives instant (yet not lasting) result, I figured out I might as well try all of them. If I intend to repurchase and be committed to a box of 10pcs I will know which one to get.

Here is a little story on the background of this brand. Kila Doll is a home brand manufactured by Le Choix Ltd, the very same company that become sole agent for My Beauty Diary, Face Q etc.

Kila doll series uses silk wood pulp fiber from Japan, with highly breathable function to help the essence absorbed into the skin more efficiently.

I first heard about Tranexemic Acid from Naruko's products. I am using their pore minimizing serum and night gelly. I recently finished up my serum and a review on that will be coming up soon. I'll discuss briefly what is Trenaxemic Acid then. For the moment, Trenaxemic Acid is widely use in Japan as a whitening agent.

The mask packaging is rather simple compared to the box packaging. I personally prefer the plastic packaging. This mask claims to brightens and firming up the skin.

Although the essence of the mask contains perfume, the scent is rather subtle. Weirdly enough the scent actually reminds me of my St. Ives skin firming lotion. They have really identical scent! Since the scent is quite subtle, the nearest I can refer to is aloevera products.

The mask is pretty similar to MBD mask. The sheet is thin and covered with a layer of plastic on one side for easy application. The mask fits my face perfectly too.

The essence used in this mask is noticeably a lot thicker compared to the one used in MBD. Not only it is less watery, they are pretty generous with the amount of essence as well.

I pat the excess essence that's left in the packaging onto my face while my mask is still on and leave the entire thing for nearly an hour. After the mask is nearly dry I peel it off, massage the essence in and wait for about 10-15 minutes before I rinse off my face.

Going back to the claims that this mask promised, I have to say I am quite satisfied with the result.

Whitening? : I did not notice any whitening effect but I have one good news. This mask actually made my skin look glowy even the next day!

Firming? : This got to be the most obvious result. My skin appears tauter and less appearance of laugh lines. For early 20s skin you may see this result but I am not too sure about late 20's. Surprisingly my pores seem to be less visible too.

Based on the result that the mask gave me, you can pretty much says I am happy with this. However, I will need to try out the other four masks that came in the box as well before I can decide whether to repurchase a set of this. But this mask is definitely better quality than MBD and cheaper too! You can get this from Guardian at RM39.90 for 10pcs.

You might have seen this advert plastering all over your FB wall. Or maybe it is just my FB wall (I don't know). But damn! This is one awesome concealer and one awesome advertorial from DermablendPro! But I am damn freaking sad that the guy is covered with all those tattoos. It seems that making out with him with the lights on is impossible.
But it is good for the coming Halloween??? hmm..

See for yourself. The transformation of Zombie Boy.. I am deeply sad as I type this. lol

You gotta agree with me that he still look AWFULLY hot in that tattoos..

MBD Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser

I have been noticing a lot of hype in the amino acid (AA) recently and without realizing few cleanser that I bought contains amino acid. A friend of mine asked, what is AA for. To be honest aside from helping us to retain moisture I know nothing else about AA. So I did some research and here is what I have found.

It is shown scientifically that AA peptides will encourage the production of collagen and elastin. This also helps in exfoliating the cells. The fact that AA is non drying and non irritating, it is a good choice to have them in our skincare routine.

I came across this Sweet Tea Time Mini Set months back, since I have no bad experience with MBD, I know I have to get it. I love trial set. You get to try different kinds of products without spending so much money.

To be honest here, I haven't even use my Chocolate and Macaroon mask. The packaging is just so cute!!! However, I have tried their Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser and Vanilla Souffle Face Scrub. Gonna review the latter at a much later date.

I have finished the mini (30ml) Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser that came with the Sweet Tea Time Set and decided to purchase the full size product. Full size product can be purchased in Guardian for RM39.90.

As you can see this cleanser comes in a pink tub!! As per usual with cute label as well!

At first, I couldn't tell that I would love this cleanser. Mainly because of the scent. On my first sniff this cleanser seems to smell "fat" to me. As day goes by, I finally notice the light strawberry scent and I am hooked! Of course this may not be the best scented cleanser in the market, but hey.. I am loving it!

I do agree that the tub packaging is not hygienic but don't worry, MBD's people are thoughtful enough! Inside, they include a spatula for you to scoop out the product. I still hope in the future they will repackage this in a squeeze tube.

The texture of this cleanser is quite thick and creamy. The cleanser itself look so delicious! Don't you think so? Particularly after you get used to the smell. Aaaahhh~~~~ It's heavenly!

This creamy cleanser contains scrub beads in it. The scrub beads aren't exactly micro, so if your skin have some reaction towards scrubs you may want to avoid this. Do bear in mind, even though the scrub beads aren't micro, the cleanser only contains a minimum number of them.

This cleanser lather up and produce a good amount of foams. I love foamy cleanser and I do not need much to do so.

So far, I do not get any adverse effect from using this. It doesn't dry out or irritates my skin. The cleanser itself doesn't actually promise anything aside from washing away impurities and exfoliating. I guess it does its job well then. hahaha.

Summary of the product:

Lightly scented with strawberry yogurt scent.
Affordable. RM39.90 in Guardian.
Foams up well.
Cleansing and exfoliating at the same time.
Cleanse well but other than washing away impurities I do not notice any obvious benefits.
Non-drying, non-irritating, not super moisturizing either.

Overall a good basic cleanser everyone should have! If I happen not to stumble on anything better, which is hard to say in months to come. I will definitely repurchase this! Eh.. I did. This is my second tub :P

My Beauty Diary Mask : Bird's Nest and a little story telling

My Beauty Diary (MBD) have been around for awhile now. They have wide range of masks until choosing a mask to try out is a little hard. I say you have to pick at least 3 ? Don't worry there is definitely something for every skin to feast upon. Forgive me for I am just starting out with this mask end of last year. I previously was a hardcore wash-off or peel-off mask kinda girl. The first time I tried sheet mask was years ago and it irritates my skin horribly. Since that day onwards I avoid sheet mask at all cost. Especially if the packaging is cute and they cost only RM4.. They can't be good. yea.. typical thinking I know...

Thank goodness MBD is here to prove me wrong. I received a sachet from my friend and I am pleasantly surprise! Not only it didn't make my face itchy it actually moisturizes my skin.

I am introducing the very fist mask I tried from MBD and still using because I just simply love it. I haven't try that many but once I am done trying certain type I will post a review up. I hope mask post will be a regular post from now on. Cross fingers I'll be able to follow up!

Bird's nest is among the most expensive animal products available for our consumption. Bird's nest soup is a delicacy that have been around for hundreds of years and loved by many. Said to have various health benefits, one of the top benefit is its ability to help in enhancing the rebirth of cells and tissues, which means a more resilient and youthful looking skin. Who on earth doesn't want that! Do bear in mind consuming and slapping the essence on your face are two different things.

Comes in a off-white pearl packaging. I bought a box which stored 10 pcs of mask for RM49.90 from Guardian.

They placed a thin plastic on the other side of the mask so you can separate the mask easily without having to risk tearing the thin sheet.

I just love the thinness and the size of the mask. Fits my face perfectly, adhere like a second skin, you hardly notice it is there.

According to the packaging this mask is suitable for all skin type but highly beneficial for dry and dull skin.

Based on my experience after using a box of this Bird's Nest mask I kinda like it. Not a total love, just like. Each sachet comes in a generous amount of essence. Scent wise, I love it. It has a light bird's nest soup smell to it. Applying this mask would normally be the last stage in my pampering session. As you can see most sheet masks are meant for hydration. So after all of the deep cleansing masks, I need something that will bring back moisture before I lock the moisture in. There is something about this mask that I don't like. The feeling when I have it on, it is not consistent. Sometimes, my skin behave but occasionally, my skin will get this tingling sensation and this tingling sensation only happen when I slap the mask right away after cleanser. If I do my normal pampering routine, everything is fine.
Do you face the same problem? FYI, in my self-pampering session I normally apply 6-7 masks. Let me know if you are interested in knowing what mask I have on during that session.

Now lets see if the claims on the packaging holds true.

Does whitens a little and made my skin look nourished. Don't think that it renews my skin tho..

Provides just the right level of hydration for my skin.

Enhance the elasticity, maybe true to a certain extend. My skin does look radiant and healthy.

Conclusion:
To sum it all up, after using my face does look a little brighter, after the essence is fully absorbed, my face feels smooth, not sticky and a little bouncy too. It does calms and reduce the redness on my skin. Especially, after extraction.
The effect does not last. The very next day your skin will feel normal again, but continuous use will definitely enhance the overall look and texture. The mask may not be so efficient due to the fact that the essence is rich in water and not bird's nest (swiftlet) extract itself. For RM4.99 per sachet, you can't complain much. This is a luxury pampering on budget.

How to use?
The recommended way to use this mask is by having it on for 20-30 minutes, massage the remaining essence and follow up with your skincare. In my case, I went to the extreme end where I leave the mask on until almost all the essence are absorbed (approx.1 hour). However, I would rinse the essence off after I pat them in before I put on my skincare. I do not prefer the essence to be on my face overnight. I am afraid that it will break me out.

Love note: Once a guy told me, issues you can't solve is not a problem. Instead of spending time sulking over it, move on. This may sound as if you are running away from your problems but you get more important things done that way. Important things that are within your control.
