Two new events: Caragiale Shortcut and Passion's Day

1. In the International George Enescu Festival was presented a play called Caragiale Shortcut. On a huge screen people could see Caragiale's caricatures gathered by Nicolae Ionita.

Among them was presented my caricature of I.L.Caragiale.

2. Also, i participated another event called "The Day of Passions" and i sustained my passion for caricature in Horatiu's Art Studio. Here i met Bogdan Petry, a great romanian caricaturist.

1. In cadrul Festivalului International George Enescu a fost prezentata o pisa de teatru numita "Caragiale Shortcut". In timpul piesei, pe un ecran mare au fost proectate mai multe caricaturi selectionate de Nicolae Ionita.

Printre ele s-a numarat si caricatura mea!

2. Am mai participat si la un eveniment interesant, numit "Ziua Pasiunilor" unde mi-am sustinut pasiunea pentru caricatura in Atelierul lui Horatiu Malaele. Aici am avut placerea sa il intalnesc pe Bogdan Petry!

Youngest Cartoonist Award, Yenibogazici Pulya Festival

We had the pleasure to attend the fourth edition of the Yenibogazici Pulya Festival that took place from 12 to 16 august 2011. Here, I received the Youngest female cartoonist award and had opportunity to meet and make friends with cartoonists from Bulgaria, Turkey and Cyprus.
The festival included a cartoon exhibition and live caricature events and workshops each night.
Also, we visited four important cities in North Cyprus, including the capital, Nicosia were we met the mayor and journalists from the two biggest media trusts.

In perioada 12-16 august am avut placerea sa luam parte la Festivalul din Yenibogazici, Cipru. Aici, am primit si premiul pentru cel mai tanar caricaturist si ne-am imprietenit cu alti artisti din Bulgaria, Turcia si Cipru.

In cadrul festivalului au avut loc: o expozitie, sesiuni de caricatura live si workshopuri. De asemenea, am vizitat si patru orase importante, printre care si capitala Nicosia, unde ne-am intalnit cu oficialitatile locale si ziaristii celor doua trusturi media importante.

Exhibition and Presentation at the National Conference of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies

On the 20 of May i had the pleasure to participate at the first edition of the National Conference "Norms and Values in Journalism" (University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies), at the Visual Communication section.

I presented a research on the social representations of kitsch based on AWMOK (Allee Willis Museum of Kitsch) members photos and descriptions of kitsch objects that become part of the museum's permanent collection. And i had wonderful feedback!

Also, at the same event, i presented my own collection of photos that i gathered from my students to whom i teach "Introduction to Art Design"

In data de 20 mai am avut placerea sa particip la prima editie a Conferintei Nationale organizata de Facultatea de Jurnalism si Stiintele Comunicarii, la sectiunea de Comunicare Vizuala. Aici am prezentat o cercetare privind reprezentarile sociale ale kitschului in viziunea membrilor din primul muzeu online al kitschului, initiat de Allee Willis.
De asemenea, am organizat si o expozitie de fotografii cu obiecte kitsch pe care le-am adunat impreuna cu studentii de la cursul pe care il predau, "Introducere in Art Design".

Allee Willis is an American songwriter, artist, set designer, multimedia artist, writer, collector and director.
In 1995 she was nominated for an Emmy for her #1 hit, “I'll Be There For You”, the theme from Friends.

Allee is the initiator of the first online museum of kitsch.
My cartoon joined her biggest collection of kitsch in the world and i even received a Certifikitsch of Authenkitschity. Don't be suspicious, that's a cool thing :)

Allee Willis este colectionar, artist multimedia, artist, designer etc. In 1995 a fost nominalizata la premiile Emmy pentru ca a scris melodia celebra de pe genericul serialului "Friends".

Allee a creat primul muzeu online al kitschului.

Caricatura mea este parte din marea sa colectie, ba chiar am primit si un "Certifikitsch de Autenkitschitate". Nu fiti suspiciosi, este un lucru bun!

Our latest project: "Taramul Fermecat" Children's Book

"Taramul fermecat" is the latest full colour illustrated children book we have worked on. This project is one of our favourites so far. For an illustrator, the smell of the fresh printed ink is like the taste of mother's home-made cookies.
The book contains almost 60 full page, full coloured illustrations, and some of them are present in the slideshow below:

"Taramul fermecat" este cea mai recenta carte pentru copii la care am lucrat. Acest proiect este unul dintre cele mai dragi dintre cele pe care am avut placerea sa le cream pana acum. Pentru un ilustrator, mirosul cernelei proaspat iesite de sub tipar este ca mirosul prajiturilor de casa facute de mama. Cartea contine aproximativ 60 de desene, iar slideshow-ul de mai jos reprezinta o mica selectie:

The cartoon festival is a joyful event every year thatmaterializes itself in a international exhibition. Cheers to Colombia!

Lucrarea cu care am participat anul acesta la a saptesprezecea editie a Festivalului International de Caricatura - Rendon, Columbia, 2010, sta cu onoare alaturi de prietenul Guaico. Tema acestui an a fost generalul Josè Marìa CÓRDOVA.

Acest festival reprezinta un eveniment plin de voie buna, an de an, iar la final se materializeaza intr-o expozitie internationala foarte interesanta. Noroc, Columbia!

The exhibition will take place in Izmir, Turkey between October 15 and 29, 2010. My work, "Summer love" joined the project, next to other works belonging to 57 artists, such as: Benjamin Heine, Bernd Pohlenz, Matteo Bertelli, Menekse Cam etc.

Toonpool.com, cea mai mare platforma de caricaturi din lume, a facut trecerea dintre spatiul virtual si spatiul real prin intermediul unei expozitii care reuneste artisti din toata lumea. Papergirl Romania Iasi exibits at Acajou cafe

Papergirl (Iasi) project succesfuly transforms into an exhibition oppening on november 24 in Acaju Cafe, Iasi.
This is an international project, founded in 2006 by Aisha Ronniger (Berlin), where "paperboys and papergirls" go around the city on bicycles bestowing wrapped packages of art pieces - prints, posters, etc. - onto unsuspecting passerby. But first, the works gather into an exhibition.

Proiectul Paprgirl Iasi se transforma cu succes intr-o expozitie care a avut vernisajul vineri, 24 nov la Acaju Cafe Iasi.
Acesta este un proiect international, initiat in 2006 la Berlin de catre Aisha Ronninger, proiect in care baieti si fete merg prin oras pe biciclete pentru a distribui role si pachete cu lucrari de arta - postere, printuri. Inainte de toate, lucrarile sunt adunate intr-o expozitie.
