Blood angels reinforcements

2011-01-19T14:38:00.001-08:00

So I have seen on gw website and the storm raven looks sweet also the dreadnought is also awesome.I watched a video from girl painting who did a complete
Spoiler with gk getting the stormraven as well. The dreadnought is sweet aswell and with all three options in the box I think well worth the money. Three of each please.

thoughts about jump packs

2011-01-11T15:34:00.000-08:00

what a day, avery long day, no painting but a great deal of thinking about my jump pack only army the thoughts are as follows.

1850pts jump infantry

astorath 220 pts

sanguinary guard 260 infer pistol, plasma pistol, power fist, chapter banner

death company x 10 c/w jumppacks 350
lemartes 150

death company x 10 c/w jump packs 350

ass squad x10 c/w jump packs
inf pistol, hand flamer, serg has plasma pistol and power fist 255

ass squad x10 c/w jump packs
inf pistol, hand flamer, serg has plasma pistol and power fist 255

this is 1850 i could quite easily expand the weapons of the death company to make them a bit more killy with inf pistol and thunder hammers power weapons that sort of thing would be cool i suppose..

more ideas to come

Blood Angels: Angels of death List

2010-12-13T05:24:00.000-08:00

i am in two minds about how to proceed with my blood angels army wether i go for a black army with gold characters i.e dante or sanguinor but the sanguinary guard or the normal marines are in black like the death company i will probably get some minis painted and then have a look at what to do next!!

2010-07-20T14:31:00.000-07:00

wow these look amazing

burnout

2010-05-17T13:14:00.000-07:00

i am on painting burnout at the moment and am taking a break from stuff at the moment. i am thinking of making some stuff from plasticard and also working on a ww2 aeroplane 1/72nd scale game.

more to come.

Sanguinary guard paint choice

2010-05-02T02:52:00.000-07:00

dwarves

2010-04-30T16:03:00.000-07:00

So i have a commsion to do whihc is an army of dwarves its basically the skull pass set with some extra clansmen, pictures to come soon.

blood angels lists

2010-04-10T13:56:00.000-07:00

so i had a few thoughts about the new codex and after reading it have come up with a few army list that will create 1 an angelic host and two a very shooty mech army

list one

dante 225

5x sanguinary guard 200
chapter banner 30
2 x infernus pistol 20
power fist 10
plasma pistol 10

5 x sanguinary guard 200
2 x infernus pistol 20
power fist 10

5 x sanguinary guard 200
2 x infernus pistol 20
power fist 10

5x death company 100
5 x jump packs 75
infernus pistol 15
power weapon 15

6 x assault marines 118
2 x plasma pistol 30
1 x power weapon 15

6 x assault marines 118
2 x plasma pistol 30
1 x power weapon 15

1444 pts

with this army they all have the decent of angels so this means they will only deepstrike d6" away from there first point which is awesome also dante doesn't scatter at all which is cool. because dante is in the army the other than him they are all troops to capture objectives and with the sang guard having 2+ save initially they are a lot harder to kill. all the infernus pistols are great as well as when they deepstrike they will be no more than 6 " away so can get blasting turn one and do some damamge.

the second list is the armoured assault

dante 225

5 x sanguinary guard 200
chapter banner 30
2 x infernus pistol
1 x plasma pistol
1 x power fist

5 x death company 100
5 x jump packs 75
1 infernus pistol 15
1 power weapon 15

5 x assault marines 100
1 x power weapon 15
1 x plasma pistol 30

2 x Baal predators 230
2 x heavy bolters 60

1 x baal predator flamestorm 115
1 x heavy flamers 25

1x storm raven 200

5 x devastators 90
heavy bolter 10
missile launcher 10
lascannon 25
plasma cannon 15
combi melta 10
melta bombs 5

total pts 1495

this is a bit of a mix of assault and heavy gun line what i was basically thinkg with this was roll the three baal pred up and attack squads with lots of bolter and assault cannon shells also purg areas with the flamestorm cannon and heavy flamers then from afar hit haveier targets with the devastsators final the storm raven can deploy and pound the enemy as well as deploying death company and assault marines also dante will then be able to jump in with sanguinary guard and mop up and help those units faltering.

as always these are only ideas on paper as we all now when it gets to the battlefield the dice are veryb fickle.

happy gaming

new blood angels

2010-04-10T03:17:00.000-07:00

so i have jumped on the band wagon and started to add to my 3000pts of blood angels with a sanguinary guard box set and a death company and have to say they are amazing and i will be doing a vid to show how they were painted and hopefully a bat rep
so more to come

space wolves extras

2010-02-20T11:50:00.001-08:00

so i have expanded my listto 2500pts with a land raider crusader and two drop pods so fingers crossed that would help

Batrep: space wolves vs ultra marines

2010-02-16T15:49:00.000-08:00

space wolves vs ultra marines

capture and hold, spearhead 500 points

the only change i made for this game from my last was the dreadnought

his list

chaplain
5 terminators inc landraider redeemer
2 10 man tac squad
dreadnought
vindicator
scout sniper squad inc telion
thunderfire cannon

turn 1

is my oppoonents and he sends his redemmer up against lukas and his bloodclaws and assaults his terminators and chaplain out, he moves his dreadnought out of cover and his vindicator advances. in the terminators assault he wipes out the blood claws with lightning claws and power swords which leaves lukas alone he fails morale check and falls back is caught and slain but no heart detonation. subsequently i charge in the wolf guard and canis and wipe out his terminators, my dread nought charges his land raider and stuns in close combat

turn 2 my terminators get back in the landraider and shoot along the long edge towards his objective which th landraider kills the vindicator from behind with las cannon fire canis charges the dreadnought and destroys it from rending ability.

turn 3 i loose 4 grey hunters at this point to the thunderfire cannon but canis charges the landraider and rends it and destroys it the two squads of tac marines slowly die from termi assault and fire from predator and devastators

this all ends turn 6 with him having nothing left to fight

another good showing from th wolves

Batrep: Space Wolves vs Chaos`

2010-02-08T15:03:00.000-08:00

so army lists first then

1500pts capture and hold spearhead

lists

mine

canis wolfborn
5 wolf guard 2 lightning claws, heavy flamer, chain fist and power fist
landraider
10 blood claws plasma pistol, power sword and meltagun
lukas the trickster
8 grey hunters plasma pistol, power axe and plasma gun
long fangs 2xlascannon,1 missile launcher, 1 heavy bolter
predator autocannon and heavy bolters
vindicator

his

chaos lord in terminator armour
kharn the betrayer
10 terminators with power fists and an autocannon
10 khorne berzerkers
10 khorne berzerkers
3 obliterators
chaos defiler

he got first turn and deployed the berserkers, kharn and the defiler
i put everything on the table except the guard as they were in the land raider.the roll for initiative was next and i won that so i ran the blood claws just outside charge range of his berserkers and canis the opposite flank after tur two all he had left was 10 terminators and 3 obliteratorsand his chaos lord. canis died taking 10 berserkers out and 2 wounds off kharn lukas and the bloodclaws had taken the other 10 with the loss of two blood claws the defiler fell to the long fangsin total at this point i had lost 2 bloodclaws and canis not bad

turn 4

his lord turned up and got knocked over by lascannon fire from the landraider i moved the blood claws to his objective.

turn 5

obliterators deep strike right next to my objective and take out my vindicator big mistake left out in the open i fire a landraider long fangs, predator, and grey hunters at them taking two down, the last one fell to my wolfguard with 11 attacks from power weapons and 6 hitting home his save rolls where abismol and the last obliterator dissapeared so i had his and mine in the end.

final score Space Wolves 2 Chaos 0

a great game and showing for the wolves

space wolves back on the table

2010-01-31T15:12:00.000-08:00

i have gone back to space wolves and blood angels as i have topped up the two armies. The space wolves have had some heavy choices added in the way of a predator and a devastator squad. the blood angels are going to be bolstered on april with a new codex and lots of shiny new models so i have bought dante and corbulo to keep the models in the prosperity they deserve pictures will be posted as soon as painted.

Eldar vs Necron

2010-01-27T02:53:00.000-08:00

so i went to the bedford gladiators club on monday and faced off against a necron force which consisted of the following:-

2 lords warscythe and ressi orbs
45 necron warriors
5 scarab swarms
4 destroyers
2 tomb spyders

total 1500pts

eldar list consists of:-

autarch on jetbike
5 fire dragons plus an exarch
5 howling banshees plus an exarch
6 jetbikes inc warlock with witchblade
8 dire avengers inc exarch
wave serpent
8 dire avengers inc exarch
2 vypers
2 falcons

so the mission was dawn of war annihalation

i went first and deployed only 1 falcon and 1 wave serpent in my corner he deployed all his on the opposite side first two turns not muched happen i took out all his destroyers and his scarab swarms but then cam those bloody gause weapons and his rolls of 6 on armour pen i lost both falcons and then the assualt was shocking so i should stand back an shoot in future just stay out of the way. i killed 38 necrons over the last 3 turns but all but 6 of them got back up they were brutal on there rolls

end game score necrons 6 eldar 3 (should of been 20 but those bloody ressi orbs are crap)

so i will post the progress of the eldar and hopefully people will read how terrible i am at 40k and then send me advise

2010-01-09T15:32:00.000-08:00

the joy of the game

2009-11-15T08:27:00.000-08:00

i have been lately feeling dubious about the club i have joined, i will explain, last week we started a tournament using the gale force nine chart to get up so the first game i played was blood angels versus a vintage blood angels army i gave the guy a pretty good kicking and then after two mistakes one movement and one consolidation i missed the two objectives that would have secured victory.

the second game is the one i have the most complaints about firstlky it was blood angels versus tau and the guy took a whole 45 minutes to deploy which already had my back up but then every turn took 30 mins to decide what to do then he still had to put it in action by this time i wanted to pack up and concede as it was soul destroying and to add insult to injury this guy had why i call a uber unit of crisis suits that nothing can put a dent in it and if you do eventually get a wound it hits a drone and not the suit.... arrrrrrrrggggghhhh!

my point is if you go out have no competition or nobody wants to take you on because you over think every situtaion then want joy can you get from the game. what i try to do is put out a balanced force with some squishy units and some harder units that will try to get the job done i am also a game player which i think means that you play the game for the benefit of entertainment. if somebody forgets to do something remind them or let them do it when they remember they havent done it i.e oh no i forgot to consolidate that unit, well thats fine do it now before i move anything i want to get a loss or a victory on my merit not because somebody forgot something.

the next night i played a newer guy to 40k and he had an army because he liked the mnodels cool i thought a guy like me who is playing to play well i had the best game of 40k i have had in a long time i lost objectives 2 to 1 but when we finished we were discussing it for 30mins after and the misses the dice the fun we had had it brought me back to the realism this is a game so the next time i come up against a pro who is getting paid for playing i will look at it two ways.

the first my army comp has got this guy scared and he has to think everything through so he doesnt make any mistakes that i can take advantage of

the second just feel pity for him as i seem to be getting all the joy from the game and he is getting all the stress

all i wanted was to vent some aggression i had so hopefully you will take something from this.

i have drawn up alist that i thougvht would be nfun going along the white scars style for an expansion for the blood angels

commander on bike

command squad on bike

8 bikes with attack bike

8 bikes with attack bike

8 bikes with attacke bike

3 landspeeders

3 landspeeders

3 attack bikes

3 attack bikes

i will be using the ravenwing battle forces to do thisas they have all the details that can easily be converted into blood angels quite easy

well thats me now my roast dinner is ready so more to come.
