Nadal broke the Men’s Singles record for match wins at Roland Garros, where he improved to a 59-1 where his lone defeat was against Robin Soderling in the 4th round in 2009.

Nadal’s road to French Open title was more hard than usual. He was behind in each of his first three matches and needed a 5th-set comeback to defeat Novak Djokovic in the semis.

Now with his 12th Grand Slam title, Rafa Nadal climbed into a tie for third place with Roy Emerson behind Pete Sampras’ 14th Grand Slam title and Roger Federer’s 17.

Nadal broke the record for most men’s victories at Roland Garros he had shared with Federer and Guillermo Vilas. He improved to 20-4 against Ferrer and has won 17 consecutive meetings on clay.

The National Hockey League (NHL) has just announced the 2013 Stanley Cup Final schedule and the final two teams are set. The Stanley Cup Finals will pit the Western Conference champion Chicago Blackhawks against the Eastern Conference champion Boston Bruins.

Based on the regular-season performance, Chicago Blackhawks, who finished with the best regular season record (with 77 points), will have home ice advantage and will host Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, as well as Games 5 and 7, if necessary. Games 3 and 4 will be in Boston, as well as Game 6, if necessary.

In the United States, NBC will telecast all Games of the best-of-seven series. In Canada, CBC and RDS will provide coverage for the entire series.

NHL Network, the League’s 24-hour, all-access pass to the most comprehensive hockey coverage, will feature special programming surrounding the Stanley Cup Final. NHL.com will continue to provide extensive digital coverage.

This is the seventh playoff series between the Bruins and the Blackhawks, with the Bruins winning five of the previous six meetings. Their most recent meeting was in the 1978 Stanley Cup Quarterfinals, where Boston swept Chicago out of the playoffs. The teams never met in the regular season.

This will be Boston’s 19th appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals, and their first since the 2011 Cup win over the Vancouver Canucks in seven games. This will be Chicago’s 12th Finals appearance, and their first since the 2010 Cup win over the Philadelphia Flyers in six games. This will be the first Stanley Cup Final to feature two Original Six teams since 1979.

The Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat will hold home-court advantage as the Heat have a better regular season record than the Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs.

UPDATE GAME 1: San Antonio takes Game 1 of the finals 92-88 against Miami Heat. Tim Duncan overcame a slow start to finish with 20 points and 14 rebounds, Tony Parker banked in a desperation jumper on a broken play with 5.2 seconds left, and the Spurs withstood LeBron James’ triple-double to beat the Miami Heat 92-88 on Thursday night in a thrilling Game 1. Manu Ginobili finished with 13 points, and Danny Green had 12. James had 18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists in his second straight NBA Finals triple-double. Dwyane Wade scored 17 points for the Heat but was shut out in the fourth quarter. Chris Bosh had only two of his 13 points in the final period. Game 2 is Sunday night.

UPDATE GAME 2: Miami Heat evens the series at 1-1. Chalmers led the charge while LeBron James broke out to finish it with a flurry and the Heat used a 33-5 run to rout the San Antonio Spurs 103-84 on Sunday night. Chalmers finished with 19 points, and James had 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three blocks. The Heat made 10-of-19 3-pointers and got 13 points from Ray Allen, and 12 points and 10 rebounds from Chris Bosh. Danny Green made all six shots, including five 3-pointers, and scored 17 points for the Spurs. Tony Parker had 13 points but threw the ball all over committing 17 turnovers that led to 19 Miami points. Tim Duncan shot 3 of 13 and finished with nine points and 11 rebounds. The Spurs will host Game 3 on Tuesday night.

UPDATE GAME 3: San Antonio Spurs burned Miami Heat in Game 3. Danny Green scored 27 points, Gary Neal added 24 and the San Antonio Spurs set an NBA Finals record with 16 3-pointers on Tuesday night that gave them a 2-1 series lead. Green hit seven of nine 3s, Neal was six for 10 from deep and Tim Duncan chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs, who responded to a 19-point drubbing in Game 2 with a blowout of their own. The Spurs flummoxed four-time MVP LeBron James for a third straight game, holding him to 15 points on 7-of-21 shooting. James also had 11 rebounds and five assists, but he missed 11 of his first 14 shots. Game 4 in the best-of-seven series is on Thursday night in San Antonio.

UPDATE GAME 4: LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined to score 65 points in the Heats’ Game 4 win over the Spurs and even the series at 2-2. James had 33 points and 11 rebounds, Wade scored 32 points and Bosh matched his playoff high with 20 points with 13 rebounds.Tim Duncan scored 20 points for the Spurs. Tony Parker had 15 points and nine assists, Gary Neal scored 13 points while Danny Green had 10. Game 5 is on Sunday night, still in San Antonio.

UPDATE GAME 5: San Antonio Spurs is one win away to win the title from their fifth championship. Manu Ginobili had 24 points and 10 assists in a surprise start to spark the San Antonio Spurs to a 114-104 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night. Danny Green scored 24 points and broke Ray Allen’s finals record for 3s in a series with 25. Tony Parker had 26 points for San Antonio. LeBron James scored 25 points on 8-for-22 shooting for the Heat and Dwyane Wade had 25 points and 10 assists. But the Heat missed 21 of their first 29 shots to fall behind by 17 points in the second quarter of another uninspired performance. Game 6 of the best-of-seven series is Tuesday night in Miami.

NHL’s Western conference’s No. 1 seed Chicago Blackhawks will face No. 5 seed Los Angeles Kings for the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Finals.

Chicago reached the Western Conference Finals by beating Minnesota Wild 4-1 in the quarterfinals and then came back from a 3–1 game deficit to defeat the Detroit Red Wings in seven games 4-3 in the semifinals.

On the other hand, Los Angeles Kings earned the other Conference Finals slot by a Quarter-finals 4-2 series win against St. Louis Blues and then outlasting the San Jose Sharks in 7 games 4-3 in the semi-finals.

This is the second playoff series for these two teams. Their only previous meeting was in the 1974 Stanley Cup Quarterfinals, which Chicago won in five games.

In this year’s regular season series, the Blackhawks won two of the three games against the Kings.

UPDATE GAME 1: MVP LeBron James rescues Miami Heat with a overtime winner in Game 1, 103-102, to take a 1-0 series lead. James made a layup as time expired in overtime, capping a 30-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist effort as the Miami Heat found a way to outlast the Indiana Pacers in a wildly back-and-forth Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Wednesday night. There were 18 ties and 17 lead changes, the last two of those coming in the final 2.2 seconds. Wade scored 19 points, Bosh had 17 and Chris Andersen had 16 on 7-for-7 shooting for Miami. Paul George scored 27 for the Pacers, who got 26 from David West and 19 from Hibbert.

UPDATE GAME 2: Roy Hibbert scored 29 points, David West knocked away two passes by LeBron James for huge turnovers in the final minute, and the Pacers evened the East title series with a 97-93 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the series on Friday night. Paul George scored 22 points, George Hill added 18 and West finished with 13 for the Pacers. James scored 36 points for the Heat, who got 17 points from Chris Bosh and 14 from Dwyane Wade.

UPDATE GAME 3: Miami Heat rolls to 2-1 lead in the series. Heat’s supporting cast stepped up in Game 3 behind 18 points and eight assists from Dwyane Wade as they cruised to a 114-96 win over the Pacers. LeBron James scored 22 points and Udonis Haslem added 17. David West led Indiana Pacers with 21 points, and Roy Hibbert had 20 points and 17 rebounds.

UPDATE GAME 4: Indiana Pacers win to even East Finals at 2-2. Roy Hibbert finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds, Lance Stephenson added 20 points, and the Pacers closed the game on a 16-6 run to pull away from the defending NBA champs for a 99-92 victory. James scored 24 for the Heat but did little damage in the post after being dominant there in Game 3. Mario Chalmers scored 20 and Dwyane Wade 16. The series shifts to Miami for Game 5 Thursday.

UPDATE GAME 5: LeBron James puts Miami Heat on his back in Game 5. A third quarter for the ages by the four-time MVP turned the game, and perhaps the entire Eastern Conference finals, around. James scored 16 of his 30 points in the quarter, fueling what was a 20-point turnaround at one point, and the Heat beat the Indiana Pacers 90-79 in Game 5 on Thursday night. James added eight rebounds and six assists, and Udonis Haslem made his last eight shots on the way to a 16-point night. Mario Chalmers scored 12 and Dwyane Wade added 10 for the Heat. Paul George had 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who got 22 points from Roy Hibbert and 17 from David West.

UPDATE GAME 6: Indiana Pacers forces Game 7 against the defending Champs Miami Heat. Paul George and Roy Hibbert combined for 52 points and the Pacers held the Heat to 36.1 percent shooting to send the series back to Miami for Game 7 on Monday night. Roy Hibbert finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds, and continually contesting Miami’s shots to help Indiana stave off elimination with an emphatic 91-77 victory over the defending champs. Paul George scored 28 points, had eight rebounds and five assists. LeBron James led the Heat with 29 points on 10-of-21 shooting and nobody else scored more than 10.

UPDATE GAME 7: Miami Heat is the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Champions. LeBron James scored 32 points and the Miami Heat powered their way back to the NBA Finals with a 99-76 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals. Dwyane Wade ended his struggles with 21 points for the defending NBA champions, who will host the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night to begin their third straight finals appearance. Roy Hibbert scored 18 points for the Pacers, who got 14 from David West, 13 from George Hill and 10 from Lance Stephenson. All-Star Paul George was held to seven points on 2-for-9 shooting and fouled out early in the fourth quarter.

San Antonio Spurs reached the Western Conference Finals by sweeping LA Lakers 4-0 in the 1st round and then outlasting Golden State Warriors 4-2 in the 2nd round.

On the other hand, Memphis Grizzlies earned a Western Conference Finals slot by a 1st round 4-2 series win against LA Clippers and then an upset 4-1 series win in the 2nd round against Oklahoma City Thunder.

In the regular season series, both teams are tied at 2-2.

UPDATE GAME 3: San Antonio Spurs take a commanding 3-0 lead with OT win in Game 3. The Spurs erased an 18-point deficit behind 69 points from their big three in a 104-93 win over the Grizzlies. Mike Conley led Memphis with 20 points. Marc Gasol had 16 points and 14 rebounds, Zach Randolph added 14 and 15, and Quincy Pondexter had 15 points.

UPDATE GAME 4: San Antonio Spurs is the 2013 NBA Western Conference Champions as they completed the sweep of the Grizzlies in game four to stamp their ticket to the NBA Finals. Parker scored 37 points in his best game this postseason, and the Spurs finished off a sweep Monday night of the Memphis Grizzlies with a 93-86 win on Monday night for their fifth Western Conference title. The Grizzlies also got a career-high 22 points from reserve Quincy Pondexter, 18 of those in the second half. Zach Randolph finished with 13 and Marc Gasol had 14.
