Prophetess Sommy, the head pastor of Glorious Manifestation Ministry, has publicly voiced her displeasure over what she described as a disappointing lack of support from members of her congregation.

BBNaija Season 11 housemate Bells has spoken about a deeply personal family experience, recalling the day her father, a military officer, was kidnapped and how the family has lived with uncertainty ever since.

The incident happened when Bells wastillness el a student and had not yet turned 20. She was in the middle of her second-semester examination when the news reached the family.

"My dad was k!dnapp£d years back. Currently, we don't know his current state. They requested for money, but later rejected the idea, and said they were going to just keep him in the camp.

My dad was in the military. This happened before I turned 20. I could remember when this happened, I was writing my second-semester exam to transition to year two when this call came through."

Bells said the experience was particularly difficult because her family was accustomed to periods of silence whenever her father was away on military assignments. Sometimes, months could pass without seeing or speaking to him, so the initial lack of communication did not immediately suggest that something was wrong.

"When it happened, I was the first person he called. Sometimes we don't get to talk. They go to different wars, and there are times that we don't get to see him at length, like six months, and then one day he'll just pop up.

We didn't talk to him for a while. My mum felt funny, but you know, it's common when you have a military husband. Sometimes you don't even talk to them for months, and then they would just call you one day that they've been in the bush, there was no network."

The situation became clearer after the family eventually managed to establish contact with him. Bells said her father told them he had tried to escape but was eventually caught and taken back to one of the camps.

"I think we didn't talk to him for like seven days. When we finally reached out to him, he told us about how he was trying to escape. He could not communicate, but he got tired and was caught by one of their camps eventually.

And then he talked about how they were being r@!ded multiple times, expl0d£d their tankers, and when he got kidnapp£d, they gave him the permission to talk to us."

One particular conversation has remained with Bells. She recalled her father telling the family that they were being moved to Chad and that he might not be able to contact them for some time.

"One day he reached out to us and said they were moving them to Chad, that he might not be able to communicate for a while, but if he gets the chance, he would call us."

For Bells, that conversation carried a meaning she only fully understood later. She said part of her has always felt that it sounded like a final goodbye, although the military gave the family a different explanation.

"Part of me feels like that was like a goodbye call. The military said it wasn't, that they would have known if something had happened to him because those people would have sent them the information.

So hopefully, we still have faith that he's alive. I think that's what's been keeping us..."

The story also helps explain why Bells' emotional moments on the show surprised some members of her family. She said they had always regarded her as someone who could handle difficult situations without breaking down.

"That's why my family were surprised when they saw me crying on the show. They see me as the stronger person in the house, the person who can take things."

For Bells, however, the uncertainty surrounding her father's fate remains something her family continues to live with.

Chadwick Boseman’s Widow Raises Alarm Over Family Dispute

A dispute has emerged between the family of late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman and his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, over a documentary being developed to honour the actor’s life and career.

According to court documents cited in the report, Ledward Boseman is working with production company Words + Pictures on the project and is also seeking an agreement with Searchlight Pictures to produce the documentary.

The planned production has become part of a wider disagreement involving Boseman’s family. Ledward Boseman said the proposed deal with the production company was structured on a “Most Favored Nation” basis, which she described as a way of ensuring equal treatment for both sides of the family.

She alleged that identical documents were presented to the two sides but claimed that some members of Boseman’s family requested separate agreements from Words + Pictures.

Ledward Boseman also argued that she has made efforts to involve the actor’s relatives in projects connected to his legacy. She maintained that she has authority over the use and commercial benefit of Boseman’s name, image, voice, signature and likeness.

In her court filings, she further claimed that she had consistently attempted to consult members of the Boseman family about activities intended to preserve and honour the late actor’s legacy.

She alleged, however, that the same consideration had not always been extended to her by his relatives.

The disagreement over the documentary comes against the background of a separate legal dispute concerning Boseman’s estate.

The late actor’s brothers have reportedly asked for Ledward Boseman to be removed as administrator of the estate. Their complaint includes allegations concerning the handling and transparency of estate finances.

Ledward Boseman has rejected those allegations. She has maintained that she has fulfilled her responsibilities and gone beyond what was required in dealing with members of Boseman’s family.

She has also claimed that she provided some family members with financial benefits exceeding what she was legally required to give them.

Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, is celebrating a major milestone in his acting career after becoming part of a Guinness World Records achievement through the movie Black Market.

The actor took to social media to reflect on his journey from a humble background to gaining international recognition through his work in the Nigerian film industry.

For Itele, the achievement represents more than the success of a single production, as he sees it as evidence of how far persistence and determination can take a person.

Black Market made history after more than 51,000 people gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos for a special screening of the movie.

Nora Awolowo’s Black Market Sets New Guinness World Record

Nollywood has recorded another major achievement after Black Market, a crime thriller associated with filmmaker Nora Awolowo, attracted 51,000 qualifying viewers during a special screening in Lagos.

The historic event took place at Tafawa Balewa Square on Saturday, drawing thousands of film enthusiasts who gathered to watch the production together. Guinness World Records subsequently recognised 51,000 attendees as the official qualifying figure for the record.

Although Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat announced that approximately 64,000 people were present at the event, the Guinness measurement was based specifically on spectators who remained at the venue and watched the movie from beginning to end.

The achievement surpassed the previous benchmark of 43,624 viewers. That record had been established in 2015 when the Filipino movie Felix Manalo was screened to a large audience at the Philippine Arena.

Organisers of the Lagos event had set their sights on exceeding the existing mark, with a target of at least 50,000 simultaneous viewers.

The successful attempt sparked celebrations at TBS, including cheers and fireworks following the confirmation.

The event began several hours before the movie itself. Gates opened at 2pm, while the red carpet started around 3pm. The main screening commenced at 7pm, giving attendees time to enjoy other activities at the venue, including music, games, food and entertainment.

Several notable personalities attended the occasion, including Hamzat and Lagos Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture Toke Benson. Nollywood actors such as Lateef Adedimeji, Kunle Remi, Stan Nze, Linda Ejiofor, Gabriel Afolayan and Kunle Afolayan were also present.

Black Market was directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsay, who co-wrote the movie with Abdul Tijani Ahmed. The story centres on five women involved in cross-border smuggling whose lives become complicated after the daughter of one of them is kidnapped.

The movie features Linda Ejiofor Suleiman, Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Scarlet Gomez, Teniola Aladese, Susan Pwajok, Itele D Icon and Uzor Arukwe, among others.

Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has responded to criticism over her enthusiastic support for actor Kamo State during the premiere of his movie, Star Lomo.

Awelewa came under scrutiny after a video of her visibly excited reaction at the event circulated, with some people questioning the level of attention she gave to the actor. However, the actress has explained that her reaction was influenced by the personal relationship she shares with Kamo and the support he offered her during a difficult chapter of her life.

According to Awelewa, Kamo was there for her when she was struggling emotionally following a major heartbreak. She recalled that the actor and his family provided her with a place where she could find comfort during that period.

She particularly remembered Kamo’s younger sister preparing noodles for her and said the actor went as far as leaving his home for her at the time.

Mr Macaroni Gets Emotional Over Messages From People He Once Helped

Mr Macaroni has been receiving messages from people who remembered the different ways he had helped them over the years, with the messages making him reflect on his own difficult experiences and the support he received when he needed it most.

The comedian said he became emotional while reading through the messages because some of the things people were thanking him for were moments he had completely forgotten about. For him, the experience was a reminder that the good he had done for others had not gone unnoticed.

"I cr!ed so much last night and this morning. I have seen lots of messages from different people about things I did for them at different times most of which I don’t even remember", he said.

He said the messages also made him look at his relationship with giving in a different way. He has always believed that whatever God gives him should eventually be used to help someone else.

"The truth is I have always believed in my heart that the only reason God has given to me is to give it back", he said.

The messages came at a time when Macaroni said he had been dwelling too much on the things he had lost instead of appreciating how far he had come.

«"I think this is God’s way of telling me to also be thankful!!! I have been thinking too much about what I lost instead of thanking God for seeing me through one of the hardest moments of my life.»

He explained that being the person who gives has often meant that people assume he is always financially comfortable. Asking others for assistance, however, was something he found particularly difficult.

"I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help. Even if I had to borrow from anyone, I would always return with interest, even without them asking", he said.

According to him, the past few years forced him into a situation he was not accustomed to. He had to reach out to people for help and, at one point, felt he was close to giving up completely.

"But I was tested in ways I couldn’t understand these past few years. I asked for help everywhere and anywhere I could think of and I was on the verge of giving it all up!", he stated.

Macaroni also spoke about an individual who repeatedly came through for him during that period. He chose not to reveal the person's identity because of the person's preference for privacy, but said the support went as far as settling what he owed.

"I would mention his name but he would be really upset. God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don’t think any sane person would do what he did for me without God’s intervention!." He said.

He described the person's support as something he would remain grateful for, especially because it came at a point when he felt there was little hope left.

"So this is me also saying thank you Brother! And I will continue to do so again and again, privately and publicly! Thank you for giving me hope when I thought it was all over. I can’t help but think I have taken your love and kindness for granted but I want you to know that I am forever indebted to you", he said.

His gratitude also extended to his close friends, whom he said continued to stand by him despite everything.

"To my closest people in the World (Mr Macaroni & Friends) Thank you for not neglecting me even when you had every reason to. Thank you for saving me 😊", he said.

He singled out Don Jazzy, saying the music executive had supported him from his university days and continued to do so. He also mentioned footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji.

"To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!! To my brother Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji!!! Thank youuuu. 🤍", he stated.

Macaroni said he is now in a better place and is focused on doing things that bring him happiness. Despite the difficulties he has faced, he said he has no regrets about helping people.

"I am in a better place! I am learning and doing things that make me happy. I don’t and will never regret anything I have ever done in my life to make the lives of others better in even the smallest way possible", he stated.

He added that the difficult period also taught him lessons he would not have learned otherwise.

"However, I have learned a lot of lessons these past few years and I am grateful even for the trials and tribulations for which without them I wouldn’t have the clarity of mind I now have.", he said.

He ended with a simple message about choosing love despite the difficulties around us.

"May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world.

Thank you with all my heart."

One of the people who has also recently recounted Macaroni’s generosity is veteran actor Peter Fatomilola, who spoke about receiving more than ₦200,000 from him after they met at a movie shoot. Fatomilola said Macaroni later invited him for another shoot, where he was paid ₦1 million for one scene.
