How to prepare Plantain-Kpomo Sauce

How to prepare Plantain-Kpomo Sauce

Hello guys, I discovered a new food recipe. It’s really great. I’ve tried out and it worked out fine. Please do try it. Thanks.

This food recipe is special because it involves the use of locally found food stuffs such as Cow skin (Kpomo- Nigerian Language) and Plantain.

Now, the beautiful thing about this recipe is that I saw something like it online, and then I chipped in my own procedures and styles inside of it, to make it look different.

So what do I need for this recipe?

Plantain
Meat (Kpomo Preferably)
Maggi
Tomato
Pepper
Red Oil
Salt
Curry and Thyme
Onions

Okay! So Lets get started!

Get Ripe or Unripe plantain that is in good condition. I prefer ripe plantain because to me, it’s sweeter and more interesting to eat and cook. (It gets done on time)

Peel the plantain and wash them with clean water into a bowl. Cut the plantain into bits, they should not be too small; they should be moderate in size.

Use your knife to give marks on the body of the plantain, they should look like this:

Now, Take a little amount of oil and mix it with a corresponding amount of salt. Mix till the mixture is smooth.

Grease the plantain with the oil mixture.

Now, wrap the slices of plantain with your foil paper and place them on top of the frying pan. Ensure that every part of the plantain gets to touch the surface of the frying pan so that they can get done very well. (you can do this by turning the plantain with a frying spoon)

Heat on a low temperature, so that they won’t get burnt. Heat for 40 minutes.

While the plantain is on fire, let’s get ready to start making our Sauce…

First of, Wash the meat skin (kpomo) very well with water. Then cut it into small pieces and boil it in a pot.

Take another pot, heat the pot on fire for a while, then add palm oil, after 3 minutes add your sliced onions, after a minute add your blended tomato with pepper, then add your maggi, salt, and other spices, allow to cook for a minute or 2, then add a little quantity of water and stir until it mixes very well.

Leave the sauce to boil for about 10 minutes, and then add your Boiled meat and stir. Leave them to boil very well for another 5 minutes, and then turn off your fire.

After you have heated your plantain for 40 minutes, off the fire and allow it to cool for 2 minutes. After then, unwrap the foil paper from the plantain carefully.

Serve the plantain and sauce in a plate and eat when hot. Don’t forget to garnish it, so that it will attract your siblings, Lol….

I’ve learnt a lot of things from the Army. They have inspired me in so many ways. Soldiers inspire me in various ways. Now, I’m going to be sharing with you some of the qualities the Army exhibits, which makes me feel inspired.

1. Braveness

A soldier is a brave human being, he is never afraid of any obstacle, no matter how difficult they may seem to be. A soldier has this spirit of braveness that silent’s every fear. Now, in life, if you want to succeed you have to be brave. You need to develop the spirit of braveness, because it will help you overcome certain Obstacles in Life. So, cultivate that spirit of braveness today.

2. Hope

A solider is always hopeful of himself. He never gets discouraged, no matter how difficult the battle or mission may seem to be. A soldier just keeps on giving himself hope that he will definitely be successful in all his doings. In life, hoping for better days ahead should be a routine for you. You should always to the positive side of life. Never get hopeless, instead be hopeful. A Hopeful person is one who Overcomes Challenges.

3. Team Working Spirit (Unity)

A soldier is a team worker; he always works hand in hand with his team to ensure that they all achieve their aims, objectives and goals. In life, you must always have to work with one team or the other. If you don’t have the spirit of team work, then you can’t be successful in life. Success is a product of team worker and dedication. If you plan to make it in life or achieve greater heights, then you have to upgrade your team working spirit. You must learn to work with everybody, irrespective of who or what they are, their status, educational background etc. Everyone in life has a potential gift, the more you work with them, the more you explore their gifts. Try as much as possible to work with anyone you come in contact with, because it will go a long way in developing you in all aspects of life.

4. Smartness

A solider is always smart. A soldier can’t be dull. He always thinks fast and finds solutions to problems that he encounters. Problem Solvers are world Changers and money makers. If you want to go far in life or if you want to change the world or even if you want to be rich, then you must be smart. Always learn to think fast and positively. Whatever you feel is right for your life, do it fast, so that you can fail fast and then Learn from your mistakes fast also. Don’t for anybody. Remember, Life is not a competition. Enjoy the best moments you can get out of life by been SMART.

In Conclusion, if you want to change the world, start working on yourself. Always give your self Hope; never ever get scared of moving fast. Be Smart. Think Positive. Develop a team working spirit. Be Brave. Start developing these wonderful skills from today, I will see you at the top.

How to Sustain a Relationship

Hello, welcome to my blog, I’ve missed you guys so much; today I am going to be sharing with you on how to sustain a Relationship.

I made a journey, which lasted for about a week. It was a camping program, during my stay there, I met so many kinds of people, from various ethnic groups including Yoruba, Igbo, Urhobo and many others. As a blogger, I studied all most of the people I met in other to know how they behave and act towards themselves and towards me. I constantly tried to build up a nice relationship with each and every one I met, despite the fact that we humans all have our own differences.

All through my stay in the camp, I kept on admiring two set of persons, a man and a woman, they were husband and wife, they just got married to each other not quite long (about 1 year ago). The way they acted towards each other kept me wondering and made me feel like getting into a relationship immediately lol…

Now here are a few things I learnt from them in sustaining a Relationship;

1. They always listen to each other

During my stay in the camp, they were both my instructors, so I got a chance to see them everyday for about a week. Each time I see the man, I also see the woman, they were so close to each other. They listened to each other every time, the man was always ready to hear his wife out, and the woman was also ready to hear from her husband. Their communication skill was worth to be envied.

If you really want to sustain a relationship, get ready to listen to your partner each and every time. Listening to your partner always, has a major role to play in the betterment of your relationship, It will help to strengthen your relationship and also sustain it. When you listen to your partner always, it makes them feel they have a good companion and stops them from seeking audience somewhere else (Cheating on you). So, try as much as possible to upgrade your communication skills in other for you to sustain your relationship.

2. They always correct each other

Did I just say correct? Yes, they always corrected each other whenever they made mistakes, they didn’t just correct each other, they corrected each other in a silent manner.

Now this is where most people in relationships get it wrong. They fail to cultivate the spirit of accepting or giving corrections (Pride). They fail to see each other as one and equal before each other. In a relationship, when one starts seeing him or herself as the major person in the relationship, it will definitely crash and it will not last long. For you to sustain a relationship, you have to cultivate the spirit of tolerance, humility and acceptance. Don’t see yourself as superior to another, because that ideology will only take you no where. Try as much as possible to be humble before your partner. Correct yourselves when you guys go wrong. Learn to tolerate each others weaknesses. Don’t just correct each other, correct each other in peace and silence, in such a way that others won’t notice what you guys just did. Learn to learn from each other.

3. Finally, learning to take care of each other

Yes, they both took care of each other; they ensured that both of them were fine and cool. Although, the camp was stressful, but they both made the camp stress free for both of them.

Learn to take care of each other. Endeavour to satisfy each others needs in every possible way you can. Husbands take care of your wife, wives take care of your husbands, Boy friends take care of your Girl friends, and Girl friends take care of your Boy friends. Do these things well and see if your relationship will not last. Your relationship will be an enviable one.

After one week, I came back from the camp and went home to my family (My Father, Mother, and sister). Hmmmm… Thinking of starting a ------… Hahaha, what do you think I want to start….

Hello there, welcome to my blog, its been a while and it feels good to be back here with you guys. Thanks a lot.

Alright, so now we are gonna be deliberating on the topic “Keeping it real in a relationship”. Mehn, it’s damn complicated… Imagine being real in a relationship, you will need to be yourself, do everything you do in your normal life and in fact you just got to live your normal life irrespective of whom or what your partner is.

Now, keeping it real in your relationship has a long way to go in making your relationship fantastic. Fantastic? Yes fantastic. I know its really hard to do so, but it helps a lot.

Okay so how do I keep it real in my relationship?

You need to be yourself

In being yourself, I mean living your normal life. Don’t pretend about anything, let your partner know who you truly are. So many persons pretend a lot in relationships in other to make their partners either love them more or feel that they are the perfect couple for each other, hmmm; you will end up harming and scattering your hard built relationship with your own hands. The best thing to do in a relationship is to make your partner know exactly whom you are, If he or she can’t accept you the way you are, then you guys don’t fit to be called partners or couples, someone you call a partner or a couple should be able to accept you and live with you the way you are, he/she doesn’t need to complain if he truly loves you as he/she claims.

So being yourself in that relationship will make it last longer, let your partner know your likes and dislikes, let him/her know what your mindset towards him/her is, let him/her be the one person whom understands you totally, emotionally and other wise!

You partner should be able to understand your weaknesses and help you resolve them; he/she should be the one person to make you smile and cry at the same time… Yes that’s how to keep it real in a relationship!

Even if you can’t cook, open up to him, he will help you if he truly loves you and if you open up to him with all sincerity!

Even if you are financially down, she will help you if she truly loves you and if you open up to her with all sincerity!

Here are some other tips to guide you in keeping your relationship real

Love your partner with all your heart, with all you have, all you had and all you will ever get!

Sacrifice your time for your relationship!

Be yourself, don’t pretend about anything. Eat the way you eat normally, bath the way you bath, sleep the way you sleep, snore the way you snore, talk the way you talk, do everything the way you do them in your outside world!

Keeping your relationship real comes with so many benefits… Some of them are listed below

Your partner gets to understand you better and love you more

It makes your relationship fantastic in the sense that you would have an enviable relationship

It makes your relationship less troublesome and quarrelsome

You get to understand and feel the true value of a real relationship!

Now that’s how to keep a relationship Real!

Hmmm! Relationship is a goal, which you have to work for. Achieving a peaceful and enjoyable relationship is bae.

Going into Blogging

Now, before you start a blog, there are certain questions you need to ask yourself. Amongst them are;

When you see problems as money, you get to solve such problems and generate money from them or it. Let’s take an example. Two brothers traveled to a far country. Brother A saw it as a bad thing, so the next day he told Brother B that he was going to leave that country because he didn’t like what he saw. Brother B, saw it as a problem (money) that needed to be solved urgently. So Brother A and Brother B traveled back to their country.

On getting back to their country, Brother B went to a company that manufactures foot wears, and then he bought 100 different types of foot wears, then he traveled back to the country leaving Brother A behind. When Brother B got to the country he introduced the wearing of foot wears to the people in that country, they gladly bought the foot wears from him. At the end of the day Brother B made times 4 of what he spent to purchase the foot wears he sold to the people in that country. The next day he went back to his country and made more foot wears and exported them to the other country in large numbers. That was how he started making cool money just because he was exporting foot wears.

You see that there is money in problems, so the earlier you start solving problems the richer you become.

Some weeks back, Wonders Okpor the CEO of Nigeria Blog Organized an Online Big Brother Nigeria Show. You may be wondering how the show looks like?? Its a really interesting show which started with about 30 Housemates, some of them have been evicted and the ones remaining now are just 8 Housemates. Inside the House we have the Head of House whose job is to make sure that the house is in order and we also have the Queen of House whose job is also to make sure that she supports the Head of house in organizing the house.

There have been numerous activities in the house such as talk shows, quarrel between two housemates in the house, visitors have also visited the house. Visitors such as Bunmi Ajayi an International Speaker, Meeky G an artist, Henry Ibeleme an Entrepreneurship Guru and many others.

The show has been really nice. The housemates have also been making the house a lively place both for themselves and other visitors. The housemates have also participated in numerous task such as hide and seek, truth or dare, find the missing picture, voting and other interesting and difficult tasks.

Hey there welcome to my blog. Today we are gonna be considering 4 types of communication.

First of all what is communication?
"Communication is the process of passing information from one person to another through various mediums".

There are four types of communication which will be treated in this blog post and they are

1. Intimate communication

Intimate communication is a kind of conmunication that exist between closely related persons. For example the kind of communication that exists between husband and wife. It is known as intimate communication. There are some kind of people that only intimate communication exists between them e.g Husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, closely related persons.

2. Business Communication

This is where most people who are into one business or the other are getting it wrong. They mistake business communication for intimate communication. For example, a man who is doing business suddenly sees his pastor in the church coming to buy something from him, then he takes because the pastor is close to him and then he tells the pastors not to pay for the goods or services that he bought. That mentality is totally wrong. The kind of communication that was supposed to exist between the business man and the pastor at that moment was supposed to be business communication and not intimate communication.

This is the reason why so many individuals fail in business. They take the transactions between them and their close ones to be intimate instead of business based communication. Forgetting that there is time for everything.
The reason why your business is failling is because you take almost every customer's communication to be intimate instead of business based communication.

3. Peripheral Communication

This is a kind of communication that is suitable for individuals who are not compatible, in the sense that, they always quarrel over nothing. The best kind of communication suitable for both of them is peripheral communication. For example ;
Mr. A says hi, and Mr. B replies and says hi. And thats the end of their communication, nothing more, nothing less.

The reason why so many people quarrel often is because they extend their kind of communication from peripheral communication to intimate communication, at the end of the day, they will end up quarrelling over nothing.

4. Social Communication

This is a kind of communication that is transferred from one person to another by virtue of social activities such as Singing, dancing, Comedy, drama, TV and radio presenting etc.

This kind of communication is mainly engaged in for the sake of entertainment.

Welcome to Nigeria, where you find churches everywhere. Before you move from one street to another, you may have seen up to about ten to fifteen churches of different denominations.

As churches are very much so are pastors also. Below are a list of the different kinds of pastors in Nigeria Today...

The funky Pastors

These are pastors that live their lives in a worldly manner. Imagine seeing a pastor that perms his hair. A man of God calling himself all sought of names e.g Oracle of God, Evangelist, Apostle and many other unimaginable names. You see that kind of pastor perming his hair as if he is a woman. These pastors that perm their hairs, what do they stand to gain? “NOTHING”. Some of them do it in the name of hairstyle, which is very bad. Another aspect of these funky pastors, are pastors that makes use of bleaching products such as cream, in order to make them glow. Now whom do you think these pastors are pleasing, their members or their God. This is very bad.
Pastors are supposed to be good role models. If you are a Pastor and you are guilty for this act, then you better turn a new leaf and change from it, because it will do you no good at the end.

Business Pastors

These are another category of pastors that base on doing business in the church and in the church, in God’s name. That is why you see a pastor (So called man of God) selling bottled water for 6,000 naira, bottled water that is not up to 500 naira. These pastors will paste the face of themselves are their wives on the body of these bottled waters, then they will give them all sought of names such as “Miracle Water”, “Olive water”, ”Deliverance water”. These are pastors are regarded to as business pastors. Some of them even make it mandatory for church members to buy these bottled waters before entering a church for a service or deliverance.
Bottled waters are not the only items that are been sold by pastors, some of them also place items such as handkerchiefs, anointing oil etc. sale just to make extra money. Pastors! Better change from this unholy and ungodly act.

Technological Pastors

These are pastors that no longer do things the old way. They have allowed the wind of technology to blow them away from the old way of practicing Christianity. You now see pastors going to preach on a pulpit without a bible, instead you see them with their phones, iPad, Laptops e.tc. Some of them even go as far as downloading sermons from the internet and then come on Sunday to preach to the members. Pastors beware!

Political Pastors

These are pastors that bring in politics in everything that has to do with the church. You see pastors playing politics in the church, some pastors now disregard their members and regard politicians in the church all because of their own selfish interest.
You find pastors playing the role of a politician in unholy places.
Pastors that practice this act should better stop now!

Sick Pastors

These are pastors that appear to be healthy physically, but within their spirit they are already sick and wounded. You may find some of them praying for other sick members and they get healed, but their own sickness lives abundantly within their spirit. This is as a result of some evil deeds these pastors have involved themselves in.

Ministry Conscious Pastors

These are pastors that only have time for their ministry (Church). They have no time for anything else apart from their own church. They do not care about their wives, children or any other thing. All they care about is the wellbeing of their church. Some of them stay for more than half a whole day in the church, abandoning their families. We know you have do the work of God, but at least try to make use of time management because it will help you a lot. If you continue that way, it may lead to the downfall of your marriage or relationship.

Competitive Pastors

These are pastors that are very full of pride and ego. Once they are used by God to perform any miracle, they immediately become proud just because of the miracle they performed in the name of God.
Some of these pastors even go as far as competing with other pastor. When they see that other pastors have a sitting capacity of 10,000 in their church, they would like to make their own double of that pastors own. When they see the kind of car their fellow pastors are using, they would like to buy a car bigger than that one. They have forgotten that “The life of a man does not depend on the abundance of wealth he has”.

If you are pastors and you find yourself in one the above named categories, better change and start living a life worthy of emulation.

You find yourself hiding some of your gadgets e.g phones, laptops from the police, your friends and other security agencies.

Dangers of Yahoo

Anything that has an advantage will surely have disadvantage. Just as yahoo is sweet and enjoyable to you, it also comes with lots of pains and sorrow not only against you but also against your family members.

Madness

Unwanted Diseases/ Virus

There are some places in Lagos, where the price of goods and services are measured by their quantity.

However, the best you can do as a first-timer is to blend into the Expensive live of Lagos. Also, make sure you live on a very strict and expensive budget and finally learn to manage your self financially!

You may have been thinking traffic jams are for vehicles and motorcycles alone, until something take you to Lagos Island and you will see yourself trying to find space for your legs in a crowd of hundreds of people in the middle of Balogun Market!

3. Lagos Never Stops Moving:

There are many cities of that do not sleep but Lagos goes a step further to be the city that never stands still. It is a great sense of urgency that has made the city one of the world’s most promising financial and commercial hubs. Lagos never stops moving. People that are residing in Lagos never stop working, depending on the Kind of work they are engaged into. So for any one whom plans to move to Lagos should also plan never to rest.

4. You will always have to deal with traffic:

In Lagos, there are some certain areas that never experience traffic Jams, while in some other areas, you may find yourself in traffic Jam for up to 2-3 hours. You really need to plan to manage the traffic situation of Lagos if you want to succeed there. In some places, the widths of the roads are toblame, especially when traders set up shop on the sidewalk and pedestrians claim a chunk of road. In some cases it’s a needless trail of round-about and toll gates.

In the city, everyone from vendors and street traders to the police is all too eager to show you how strong they are, physical and otherwise. In most cases, it can lead to a scuffle or violence between two strong, empathic personalities; but overall, it makes for an interesting dynamic.

For a newbie, it can be hard to deal with it at first; as soon as the wrong people sense your naiveté, they will most definitely attempt to cut a chunk for themselves, either by robbing you or just subjugating you for however long.

The Best way to deal with this varies for and from each person with an experience and something to say. Simply avoid unnecessary interactions and stand your ground when pushed.

First of all, women especially the very emotional ones desire to be handled with care. They need someone to console them when they are going through problems and stress. They need a person whom will love them whether in good condition or bad condition. That is one thing about women which needs to be attended to.

When women are given the above mentioned attentions in their life when they are emotionally down, they will eventually become stronger again and get motivated to continue in the relationship.

Chioma: For me about Valentine, is the day you renew your love for your partner. Your kids should not be left out of it. You involve the kids. For example, my kids are already saving money to buy gift for their friends.

Chioma: Everyone have had misunderstanding in their relationship. No relationship is perfect even though you are romeo and Juliet

Chioma: We talk over the issue and say sorry to each other even though your partner is at fault. My advice is don't take your anger to the next day

Chioma: My advice is that they should love one another. If your partner says he doesn't have money to satisfy you, don't fight him or don't force him to do what he doesn't want to do! Me and my husband started when we had nothing, I didn't force him but we are living fine now. Our love was strong then and still strong now. We have three beautiful kids

How to live with a troublesome Neighbour

Neighbors are everywhere in our society. We could have neighbors in our Houses, Companies and workplaces, in schools and even in the church. There are good neighbors and bad neighbors, it’s easier and fun to live with the good one, but it’s sad and painful to live with the Bad one, especially in the same compound.

There are so many ways to cope with the bad one and they are listed below:

1. Patience and Tolerance:

What is patience? Patience is the ability to endure amidst temptation and other problems. Some of our neighbors are troublesome naturally, while some intentionally wants to make you angry so they pick up a fight against you and cause you so many problems in life. Been patience and tolerate has a lot to do in living with a troublesome neighbor. No matter what they do, never see their wicked actions as a problem against you, because by doing that you make them feel angry with themselves and if they are wise they will definitely stop disturbing you. When you tolerate their indiscipline it keeps you safe from all their problems and make them look stupid before you. When you exercise a little patience with them, they get tired of troubling you. Try as much as possible to tolerate your neighbor’s misbehaviors and other terrible acts they commit against you.

2. Be highly Spiritual (Be Prayerful)

Some wicked neighbors will not stop until they finally eliminate your life, and make you miserable in life. So the best way to stop them before they stop you is to bring them in prayer to God. There’s nothing too hard for God to do. Some of them will even take it to extent of calling your name in a coven or take your picture to a native doctor. Never get tired of praying.

Hey there, how are you doing…? Sorry it’s been a while since we posted so sorry.

Today we are gonna be considering the topic “Why do women cheat”.

Hmmm! What a huge topic… Now, women are married to their husbands for the sake of Love, money wealth, or to have children. But now we see cases where lawfully married cheat on their husbands in one way or the other. Hmmm, is it for a Bad or good reason? Lets check them out below;

1. Women cheat on their husbands because, their husbands are not rich. Wow!

Now, in the first place why get married to a person whom you know is very poor, at the end of the day our abandon him and leave for another man, its not good at all. Knowing fully well how poor he was should you have let him know that you are too rich for a poor man like him to marry. These women marry poor men and then dump them in the middle of the marriage which is very bad. Some women may have even given birth to Children before the leaving the, marriage and this may affect the children in one way or the other.

Some women get so excited about the success of their friends marriage not knowing how they labored for such success, they take because their friends marriage is progressing due to their wealth and try to impose the man they married on getting rich if not they will leave the marriage. Now let’s think about this; is it that poor men shouldn’t marry or women should go after rich men only… Hmmm..! Let us know how you feel in the comment session after reading the post.

2. Women cheat because they are not getting satisfied by their husbands

Every other thing in a man should be tested by the woman, except s3x. Biblically a woman and a man are not expected to have s3x until after their wedding. This has led to so many break ups in marriage. Ask me how... Then Read carefully…

Women really need to be satisfied in bed (s3x) by their husbands alone. Some women say that their husbands are so lazy in bed… Hahahaha! It’s funny but it’s true. Getting married to a man she is lazy in bed can make a woman infertile (story for another day). So these women leave their husbands (not necessarily breaking up) and go for men who are way much better in bed, some women call them toy boys, while some call them play boys Hmm…. ! So now the big question is that should women have s3x with their about to be husbands or should women endure if they mis-fortunately get married to a man who is lazy in bed… You can drop your comment in the comment session below...
