Yahoo has an app called Pingbox that you can embed into your blog or website and chat with your site visitors immediately. You can IM your visitors immediately you have signed into your Messenger app! This means that you need Yahoo Messenger to do this!
In case you don't have, you can download it from here. After downloading it, install it and you are on your way to start chatting with your website visitors. Then, you can now proceed to Yahoo Messenger Pingbox Studio to create your pingbox!

Adding Facebook Share and Like buttons to your blog is not as difficult as you have often thought. I know you might have seen it on this blog on the right-hand side and wondered how on earth I added. It is so simple to do that. I will briefly teach you how to do that here
All you need to do is open your blog.

CHECK YOUR UTME 2011 RESULTS NOW!

The results for the UTME 2011 examination has been released just now. The official website for checking the results has not been able to display it. Instead, candidates have been told to navigate to the page where they did their registration to check their results.
The results were released now after the result checker option was added to site yesterday. There have been some simplification in the result checking process. Whereby, candidates can check their results either with their scratch card information (serial number or pin) or with their registration number. This makes it easier for candidates that have misplaced their scratch card to check their result. To check your results now, click here to navigate to the page for checking your results online.

PASSWORD YOUR FOLDERS IN WINDOWS WITHOUT SOFTWARE

We always have files that we want to protect from prying eyes. Confidential softwares and documents are always very difficult to store in a Folder with a password. Though, they can be secured in a Compressed Zipped Folder. Here is a way to lock them in a folder with password:

You need a batch file that would be used to create the folder, password it and hide it. You can get the batch file in (.txt) format here.
After downloading it, replace the password area with your own desired password, and save it as a batch (.bat) file
Though your files are stored with a password, a smart guy can edit your batch file and check for your password. To avoid all these, convert your (.bat) file to a (.exe) application. Download the application here and install it.

DUPLICATE A BOOTABLE DISC

Have you evr thought why you can't copy out the files in a bootable disk and write it to another. If the copy is successful, you notice that the system can not boot from the disk. This is because the boot sectors are not copied. You need the image of that disk to write another duplicate bootable disk.

To do this, make the image file of the CD with Nero, or MagicISO. The image file can be stored as a .ISO, .NRG, .BIN or .UIF that represents a virtual CD.

After downloading the softwares, install them. Then insert the bootable disk that you want to copy. Make the image of the disc and remove it. You can then insert an empty disc or a re-writable disc, and burn it with the image you have made!

Many at times, we read Dummies ebooks via Google-Books but we need to have them in a PDF format for offline reading and usage. Google does not give full support for you to download the book as PDF but you can still download them. I'll quickly discuss how I download those books in PDF form.

To download the ebooks, you need an application called Google Book Downloader. This application automatically helps you to downlaod that book into your system. For you to use it, you need the book's code, the book link or ISBN. Insert any or some of these and you are good to go. UNLOCK YOUR HUAWEI MODEM FREE!

Many people have always seen that I use many sim cards on one modem, they always wondered how I was doing that. Unlocking a modem is just like making the modem card work with other Service Providers. For instance, using a MTN sim card in a Zain modem. Some people make money by giving out the unlock codes for unlocking the modem, but I give it out for free now!

For me to give you the actual code for unlocking the modem, I need the IMEI of the modem. To get it, go to the interface of the modem, Click on Tools >> Diagnostics
There you would find the IMEI of the modem, it is sometimes inscribed on the body of the modem
Post that IMEI as a comment to this post, and I'll reply with the unlock code
To use the code, insert another SIM card other than the default SIM, and then you will see a small Dialog box, asking you to enter the unlock code, type in the code that I will post for you and that's all!
TIP: There is a security limit to the amount of trials of the unlock code, which will result in permanent blockage of your modem when you try more than 10 times.

To Create New Profiles for your new connection,
Go to Options >> Profile Management >> New

CUSTOMIZE WINDOWS START BUTTON

Hey geeks! Here is a way to change the text in windows XP “start” button. Though vista and windows seven has widely reached market. Xp happens to be the OS running in many of the commercial systems. Here is a cool tip to add some more fun in your xp. I used a tool called “Resource hacker” for the implementation of this trick. Resource hacker is available for free in Geekyard.
Now before we start, I suggest all the geeks to take a back up of your explorer.exe (c:\windows)

Steps :
• Run the Resource hacker, and >file>open . .>browse for explorer.exe in c:\windows and open it
•Now, on the left pane, u will have several category (Bitmap, icon, menu . . .) in that select String table
• Expand it by clicking the plus sign then navigate down to and expand string 37 followed by highlighting 1033.
• If you are using the Classic Layoutrather than the XP Layout, use number 38
• The right hand pane will display the stringtable. In that stringtable we’re going to modify item 578, currently showing the word “start” just as it displays on the current Start button.
• Just change with the required text inside the quote instead of “start”.
• Now hit compile script at the top.
• Now save the file ”anyname.exe" (you can give any name followed by “.exe”) and save the file in “c:\windows”
• (note. . use “save as” )

Now to deal with registry.. .
• Goto : Run->regedit;
• Navigate to this key:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon
• Once you’re there, double click the shell entry to open the Edit String Dialog box.
• In Value data, enter the name that was used to save the modified explorer.exe file( i.e. in our case is geek.exe) click ok.
Restart the system for the changes to be effective. If all went as planned you should see that start button with the new modified text!

I am going to discuss a trick about how to rename the Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser to your name or any other name as u wish when you open it. When we open a Internet Explorer we can see Microsoft Internet Explorer after the site name we opened.

How To Rename Internet Explorer.

Here is the step by step procedure:
1. Open Start –> Run and type regedit and press Enter to open registry Editor.
2. Then Locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
3. Create a new String called Window Title on the right hand side.
4. Then Enter any name in the Data Value as u wish.

HOW TO CREATE COPY-TO AND MOVE-TO IN THE RIGHT-CLICK OPTION MENU IN WINDOWS

Make your work simpler in Windows. Today lets do some registry hacks to add Copy to and Move to in windows right click.
Yeah, making windows much more user-friendly according to our needs.
This should be a very useful tweak, it adds COPY TO / MOVE TO folder option to your right click explorer window, i.e if you right click any folder a-pop up will show with copy to / move to options.
Now, lets get to job
1.Click START–>RUN
2. Type “regedit “(without quotes)
3.Navigate toHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
4. Once you are at that key, right click and choose the New Key option:
5. Now double-click on the (Default) value and-enter the following:{C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}
6. Click OK.
7. If you want to enable Move To, repeat the same steps, and using this value:{C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13
}8. Right Click on any folder, you should be able to see COPY TO option.
