night lights cast shadows

Amazing Author Quote

2021-03-05T00:30:00.002-05:00

"I need to wake up.

Right now.

But I can't.

Not from this dream.

Some dreams, like some things in life, have to run their course.

And even if I did wake up, the dream would come back.

These types of dreams always do,

until you follow them right down to the rotten core and cut out the festering roots."

Mr. Nightmare

2021-02-25T00:30:00.001-05:00

Mr. Nightmare

Just when I thought it was okay again ~
Safe to close my eyes;
Safe to catch a dream.

Back came the madness
In came the darkness

I almost stood a chance.
I could almost see the light.
I almost got away.

Almost.

But then, He came searching for me once more.
And what he brought with him was much, much darker than before...

Void

And I sang...but there was no one to hear it.
And I laughed...but there was no one to catch it.

"It was a marvelous, improbable artifact

shining in the hazy sunlight of this Sunday morning...

but it was also a haunted house

where demons might still walk between the walls and in the hollow places."

This is from days past.

It was a tribute given to an end of an era for a remarkable band.

I just love the whole feel of it.

I love the tone, the style and the message.

Creepsters?

You dig?

Consciousness

You live in a dream world, darling and I love that about you.
But, me?
I live in the nightmare realm and I know how things really happen.
I understand the shadows;
The darkness that lurks around your every corner.
I see what you cannot;
I know what you do not;
And I eat the things that you shall never have to taste.
So, bid me goodnight and be on your way.
This isn't the place for you to linger.
You will get swallowed up here,
And I will not allow that on my watch;
Will not have that on my conscience;
Cannot have that burden hanging on me through the days ahead and the nights below.
So, go.
Go quietly.
And live bravely in your ignorance.
I got this.

If you're just trying to survive it, perhaps this meme will make it easier somehow.

Or at least make you smile.

my demons gave to me -

12 monsters munching
11 puppets preying
10 ghouls a haunting
9 zombies dancing
8 mirrors breaking
7 creatures creeping
6 clowns a laughing
5 UFOs
4 crying shadows
3 witches spells
2 banshee screams
And a skeleton in a coffin. 𝆕
