Laughter Really Contagious, According to New Study

A new study found that the brain responds to the sound of laughter and preps the muscles in the face to move in a way that corresponds to the sound. Researchers played a series of sounds to volunteers and measured their brain responses with an fMRI scanner. All the sounds triggered responses in the premotor cortical region of the brain, but the response was much higher for positive sounds like laughter, suggesting they are more contagious than negative sounds.More on the subject...

This episode I was suffering from the LA plague, (sinusitis). I need an operation on my head I think... I didn't use cue cards, big mistake. I had to edit out most of the monologue it was so horrible. Some camera angles were pathetic. My mic fell into my jacket and my engineer didn't notice my voice was muffeled... I had cable guys walking around the room talking, while I was trying to shoot. I tell you the cable guys are such a joy to work around.

We superimposed a fire on the background picture of Hermosa Pier, because at the time of the broadcast a fire had recently ravaged a local bar called Sharkeez. We never explained the fire on the show because it was conceived in post production. We cropped a fireplace in the short film Tim Woodward gave us and stuck it in the show...Movie magic...
