I'm back and reviewing Once Bitten

Well it's been a very long time since I've posted. Life and work have kept me very busy, now on to the good stuff. I'm currently reading Once Bitten (Alexa O'Brien Huntress Book 1) by Trina M. Lee. Alexa is a werewolf who's job is to hunt supernatural rogues. She has some other special abilities which you'll have to read the book to find more about. She is drawn to vampire Arys with a sizzling attraction. Alexa's old pack alpha requests her help when he is framed for murder. I'm only half way through and don't want to give much away, but I will say so far so good.

Update

Well I finished this last night. It did have some twists and turns along with some predictable parts, but it did hold my interrest. It was a typical PnR but not to steamy and erotic if that's your style. Overall I enjoyed reading it and will be putting the rest of the series on my to read list. The kindle version of this book is currently free so give it a try.

I have a couple of ereaders. The first is a Sony Pocket Reader (PRS350). The second is an Amazon Kindle Wifi. The Sony is more expensive but I love the size which is small. The other great thing I love is the fact that I can check books out of public libraries in my area. In order to do this your library network must be signed up with Overdrive. The 2 library networks in my area have a check out time period of 2 weeks, after that time is up the book is autochecked back into to the library. The Sony reads an ebook format called epub as well as pdf's. Sony Reader Store, Borders, and Barnes and Noble all sell books in either epub or pdf formats. The Kindle has the plus of having wifi so books can be directly downloaded to it. I feel covers for an ereader are a must. Both of mine also have smart phone apps for them.

I'm currently reading Steve Berry's The Emperor's Tomb. I'm a quarter of the way through and so far so good but then again I've loved every one of his books especially the Cotton Malone series. The historical figure/ location this time is the tomb of China’s First Emperor. There is a little novella that takes place before this called The Balkan Escape. The focus of that novella is on Cassiopeia Vitt. I have not read it yet but I do love Cassiopeia.

Colors And Layout

It's so hard to come up with colors and a layout that are easy on the eyes and that doesn't cause the eyes to bleed. The layout and colors may change as time goes along.

First Test

This is my first test. I have the following book on my short read list. I've read every book minus the novella. I really love The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. It's a mix of vampires and romance, part of the paranormal romance genre.
