Sourpuss x Viva Van Story

If you don't know who Viva Van Story is by now, you've been living under a rock. There's no doubt that you've seen her photographs around in a ton of various magazines & websites (ie Bizarre, Car Kulture Deluxe, Ol' Skool Rodz, etc) and, even if you haven't taken note of her name, you've come away with her images ingrained in your memory. Viva Van Story is one of the leading modern pinup photographers specializing in her own interpretation of retro-raunch with a keen eye for color, composition and fierce attitude. These ain't yo' grandpa's pinups, kids!

Sourpuss Clothing put out a few t-shirts last season revolving around some of Viva's photographs; here are three of those designs that I created:

Sourpuss Pint Glass Art

Sourpuss just released 6 limited run pint glasses that I created artwork for. Each one has large, brightly printed line art (though I'm posting them in their original b/w form) on one side with a drink recipe on the opposite side (my favorite "recipe" being the Angry Jackalope). I love me some printed pint glasses, so this was a fun project for me to take on. Here are a few of my favorites:

Two of my designs for kids' Johnny Cash apparel are now available for your lil' dudes in black and lil' ladies who walk the line! These can both be found at www.sourpussclothing.com. I'm stoked to have been able to create art for the "biggest sinner of them all" and almost wish the "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash" design could be approved for adult gear too - because I'd wear it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I don't think I could suck in enough to keep the 5T from crying on me.

They Won't Stay Dead

Months & months (and months & months) ago, I changed web hosts so I could integrate a blog directly into my website easily which prompted me to ditch good ol' faithful blogspot here. Well, that bit me in the ass once I realized how much spam was going through to my comments without notifying me. Lesson learned. Let's not look back at my mistakes but instead get back into the swing of things, shall we?
