日本財団の奨学金制度
「日系スカラーシップ」

2004年に日本財団は、ラテン・アメリカ生まれの日系人のために、「日本財団・日系スカラーシップ・夢の実現プロジェクト」を設立しました。将来居住国・地域社会の発展に貢献できるよう、若い日系人の知識や能力の向上のために、日本留学の機会を与える新しい奨学金制度です。この制度では、5年間を限度に、様々な分野において日本の大学や大学院、専門学校、研究機関での学習・研究、企業での研修等が可能になります。応募条件は主に、日系人であり、なおかつ居住国の日系団体の推薦状を持っていることです。

2007年現在、「日系スカラーシップ」のもとで受け入れられた留学生の数は、4期生を含めて合計30名で(出身国はアルゼンチン・ボリビア・ブラジル・チリ・コロンビア・パラグアイ・ペルー)、うち5名は既に留学を終え帰国しています。

恵まれた環境にあるわれわれ日本財団留学生は、「少しでも社会に還元できるように」という思いから、「日本財団留学生会」を設立し、日本財団の支援を受けながら日本国内で様々なボランティア活動を行っています。現在は、日本にあるラテン・アメリカ人の学校を訪問し、生徒たちの母国語・日本語に対する学習意欲（日本語を学ぶ大切さを伝えるとともにモチベーションを与える）や、健康、自国・日本文化に対する関心を高めるような活動を行っています。さらに、在日日系コミュニティーやNGOが開催するイベントに参加するほか、日本の小・中学校を訪問して、出身国の文化（日系人の存在やアイデンティティについて話す）等を紹介しています。
日本財団留学生会の目的は、将来それぞれのコミュニティーで活躍するメンバーのリーダーシップ育成を行うことによって、国レベルあるいはラテン・アメリカという大陸レベルでの日系人団体ネットワークを構築し、日系人団体を活性化させ、日系人としてのアイデンティティを次の世代に伝えることです。

Youth Kaigi is a conference for global nikkei youths from around the world, who are
interested in creating a better nikkei society and connecting with other nikkei leaders.

What is the Convention of Nikkei and Japanese Abroad (Nikkeijin Taikai) ?

During the Second World War, some 120,000 Japanese nationals and Nikkei descendants living in various parts of the United States were interned in camps. Through the Red Cross, the inmates were sent special deliveries of familiar articles from Japan, including miso paste, soy sauce and reading materials. In September 1945, witnessing the devastating impact of defeat in Japan and the crippling shortages of food and basic items, the former camp inmates resolved to repay the kindness shown to them during the war years by sending supplies of food (particularly milk powder) and clothing back to the motherland. The LARA goods shipments, as they became known, lasted from 1946 to 1952. The acronym LARA stands for Licensed Agencies for Relief in Asia, a broad collection of Christian church groups, labor unions and other organizations dedicated to providing relief to the Asian region. LARA was responsible for delivering around ¥40 billion worth of material assistance to Japan (calculated at 1952 prices), of which 20% (¥8 billion) was provided directly by Nikkei Japanese. LARA began operations in June 1946 with official approval from the Washington Relief Supervisory Committee. The example of LARA prompted similar aid initiatives for Japan through Red Cross agencies in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Following the induction of Japan into the United Nations in late 1956, members of the Japanese Diet decided to stage an event to commemorate this momentous occasion while giving formal recognition to the outstanding efforts of Nikkei Japanese for the benefit of the motherland, as exemplified by the LARA relief program. The result was the Nikkei Friendship Convention in Commemoration of United Nations Membership, which took place in May 1957. For the second Congress, held in 1960, the event was renamed the Convention of Nikkei and Japanese Abroad, and from the third Congress in 1962 it became an annual event.

What is the Youth Kaigi (Conference of the Global Nikkei Youth)?

As with all the countries, organizations and institutions, that give path to modernity and globalization, the Nikkeijin Taikai was no exception.

For more than 50 years, the Nikkeijin Taikai was an event where elder nikkei leaders gave their voice and vote in the desitions of the Convention. In September 2004, nikkei students that attended the convention surprised the assembly, raising their hand many times to give their point of view in various topics of the Convention.

Thanks to this iniciative, the general assembly acknowledged the interest of the younger participants in cooperating joinyly with the elders to face the changes of the 21st century. This acknowledgement was made in the year 2005, arranging the first Conference of the Global Nikkei Youth as part of the official agenda of the Nikkeijin Taikai.

In the year 2006, En 2006, given with the interesting proposals of the Nikkei Youth, the second Youth Kaigi was held. In this conference, possible solutions where discussed about the different problems that where raised in the previous reunion.

On the Youth Kaigi 2008, we wish to address the impact of globalization on nikkei society and opportunities for the youth in it.

大城クラウディア

アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレス生まれの沖縄系二世。5歳からアルゼンチン日系コミュニティーの数々の歌のコンクールに出演し、優勝を重ねる。2001年、21歳のとき、アルゼンチンでアルフレッド・カセーロの「Shima Uta(島唄)」レコーディングに参加。この曲がアルゼンチンで大ヒットし（2002年のサッカーワールドカップの応援歌となる）、宮沢和史（THE BOOM）と出会う。

2003年から日本に拠点を移し、宮沢和史ソロのバンド・メンバーとしてヨーロッパや中南米を回る。

2006年の沖縄での沖縄民謡の修行を経て、2007年9月に宮沢和史プロデュースによる1stアルバム「CLAUDIA」をリリース。

現在は宮沢和史率いる多国籍編成ミクスチャーバンド、GANGA ZUMBAのメンバーとしても活躍中。

2008 年は、ソロとして6月の「うたの日カーニバル2008」に出演。GANGA ZUMBAとしては日本人ブラジル移民100周年を記念して行った4都市5公演のブラジルツアーと横浜赤レンガパークで2万人を動員した「10,000SAMBA!」を経て、大晦日の「第59回NHK紅白歌合戦」にも出場した。

Sobre el concurso

El presente proyecto tiene como objetivo mostrar, mediante dibujos, la realidad del mundo a través de los ojos de los niños y jóvenes extranjeros residentes en Japón e incentivar un mayor intercambio cultural entre los extranjeros y japoneses que conviven en este país.

En estos momentos de crisis y deserción escolar en Japón, los miembros de la Asociación de Becarios de Nippon Foundation (NFSA, Nippon Foundation Scholar Association) percibimos que podríamos colaborar incentivando a los alumnos, de escuelas en comunidades extranjeras en Japón, a continuar sus estudios a través del “Primer Concurso de Dibujo: “Mi Mundo – Lo que me hace feliz”.

絵画コンテストについて

このコンテストは絵を通して、在日外国人のこどもたちの世界を表現するための場の提供を目的としています。

自分たちの世界を表現することで、自己表現の大切さ、楽しさに気づいてもらい、これからの社会を新たな視野で見ることができるのではないでしょうか。

また、このコンテストへの参加を通じ、子供達の自主性が養われることも期待しています。

Quem Somos

A ASEBEX (Associação Brasileira de Ex-Bolsistas no Japão) é uma entidade sem fins lucrativos que congrega bolsistas e ex-bolsistas que estudaram ou estagiaram em universidades, centros de pesquisa e empresas no Japão.

Entre as atividades organizadas pela associação destacamos a divulgação dos diversos tipos de bolsas no Japão, a organização do Seminário Preparatório para Bolsistas – Koshukai, e a participação no processo de seleção dos futuros bolsistas. Além disso, com o objetivo de manter o relacionamento entre os ex-bolsistas e de prestar serviços à comunidade, realizamos também vários eventos de caráter cultural, social, esportivo e comunitário ao longo do ano.

Os associados somam atualmente mais de 2 mil pessoas. Todos os ex-bolsistas brasileiros são considerados membros.

このブログについて

日本ブラジル移民百周年記念および日本ブラジル交流年を祝う当年の間に、日本ブラジル関係の歴史、そしてブラジルにおける日系社会など、様々な形で両国の関係があずかられてきました。そういったことを考えながら、現在の来日ブラジル人デカセギ現象、日本社会への順応問題、カルチャーショックなどを語るのがこのブログの目的です。Nikkei Portal から頂いた機会を利用してつくったブログですが、定期的に以上のテーマについて書いてみたいと思います。なお、留学生の立場からそれを検討するつもりですので、あくまでも個人的な意見です。
