I use Nikon but relay good features and the Sensor 36.3-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor, a 91,000-pixel good for Advertising Photography but i will say good change from Nikon for replacement

nickon d800 is it more about a vido camera with the 36mp what do the professionals think ,what will it be like in low light ,will be a good all around camera ,for general work as the d700 is a good camera and may drop in price . ron

I am a Nikon nut!! and I agree with all three above, Allan, Winston and Marko. I am aware that video is cheap to add to a camera and I know we don't have to use it but hells bells some of us don't actually want to pay for something we do not want!! The usual internal upgrades, processor etc plus 16-18 mega-pixel sensor to make it a more affordable tool would have been a better option!!!!!!!

So, Nikon is not including the filter and yetit would cost me 300$ more? Does that make sense? Yes, I'll take thatFord focus, but without your pimped out rims...would not expect to payextra in that case. I am a nikon fan, butit sickens me that they are skinning you like this

Nice to here it is now official.
I would have like to seen an up graded D700 with 16-18 mega-pixel ..
Video is not a feature that would sell me..
Anyway sounds interesting, I will be upgrading from my D300 to a full frame, I was thinking of the D700, but hard to get and would like something in a 18 mega pixel range, at an affordable price.

I own two Nikon D3100. A fantastic camera for the price. All it needs is:
1- Live view full exposure simulation function.
2- A movie mode with manual controls.

I Just hope the D800 doesn't have this huge emphasis on video & also doesn't use the same overpriced card!! does Nikon not realise that photographers don't need video but just need the best possible image maker! What about including wireless capabilities? If eye fi can do it in an sd card then surely Nikon can add this in camera!
