Due to my situation, I had not been able to do some writing much. Just like everyone in this rough economy, I have been having a difficult time just making it. It has been 4 years since the release of my first novel. Being a fresh graduate at the University, I had expected to have found a job in my chosen career in Film by now. But, it wasn't meant to be. It's not as if I could just move to California and walk into a producer's office and say,

"Hire me, please."

It doesn't work that way in Film. I tried to move to California, but then when the economy took a dive, I couldn't risk moving.

I love all my fans. I do have a few.

Just a little something that I thought my readers would enjoy as well. Ninjas have played many roles in popular culture, especially in the 1980's when ninja movies were made in abundance.

A NEW ninja movie is going to be release in theatres, starring Rain and Sho Kosugi, the man who made the "Ninja" popular. Release Date is November 25.

You're probably wondering if I've ever finished the long-awaited novel that I said I'll get done by the end of 2008.

I've finished the novel, but since the economy has been ill, it is too bleak for me to publish the novel for now.

I appreciate your patience and I hope to publish a novel by the beginning of 2010, which I am hopeful will be the release date of this book series' sequel.

PROLOGUE

During a time unknown, a disillusioned samurai warrior, tired of following his master’s orders, went to the mountains to seek enlightenment from the visiting monks from China. The Chinese monks taught him how to disappear into the shadows, how to seek enlightenment by emptying the mind, and how to kill with efficiency.

The grandmaster trusted the samurai and considered him a son. What he didn’t know of was his pupil’s instability and plan to spread the knowledge of the art. When he discovered the plan, he became furious and ordered his pupil to be killed. But the samurai escaped.

Five years passed. The search for the samurai became futile. The monks became paranoid, worrying that such knowledge would create hostility in the feudal system of government. The Japanese had already been unhappy with their presence. Should their pupil become troublesome to the government, they would have to answer to the lords.

What happened on that night on the mountains remains unclear. My grandfather told me as a seven-year-old that version of the birth of the ninja. As much as I didn’t want to believe him, I told myself that the story must’ve been true. (more)
