Of yore, there lived five bosom friends in a village, though they were very good friends, they belonged to different profession. One among them was an accomplished carpenter, the second a dexterous weaver, the third, an adroit jeweller, the fourth, a proficient bangle seller and the fifth a Brahmin who had achieved excellent in the field deep ancient knowledge.

The five friends were happy and content with their life and place until their small village had not come under the shadow of severe feminine. People of the village began feeling in search of work to some other place. The rich and the poor all suffered due to the catastrophe. The five friends and their families were also hit badly and were virtually on the verge of starvation. Seeing no way out they decided to go to an opportune place to try their luck. One early morning they set out for town before bearing they did not forget to pick up the raw materials and tools of their respective professions.

On the way to the town the friends had to pass through a forest. Whole day they walked but they were yet to measure the long way of the forest. As night fell and darkness prevailed they decided to took shelter under a big tree. All of them were exhausted with the long journey and wanted to sleep but it was not safe to sleep in a jungle totally unguarded. So all the five decided to watch in turn. It was agreed that the carpenter will be the first to work as night guard, the weaver will be the second, the goldsmith will be the third the bangle seller will be the last and the Brahmin the fifth to work as vigilant.

So all went to sleep except carpenter. It was night and he was tired but anyway he had to remain awake. “I must engage myself in some work to keep myself awake, “the carpenter thought, “let’s carve something from my wood and tools. My time will beautifully pass and something would be created too.”

Thinking on this line the carpenter began while his work. He carved a beautiful figure of a young woman out of the wood log. The carpenter was overjoyed to see his creation it was the perfect woman figure. He happily picked it up from the ground and then placed against the tree where his friends were sleeping. Since his time to remain awake was over the carpenter awoke his weaver friend for night watch and himself went to sleep.

The weaver got up and noticed the beautiful statue of a young woman against the tree trunk, “ what a perfect piece of woman hood!” exclaimed the weaver “but she is undressed! A woman looks more beautiful when she is appropriately dressed up. I must enhance her honour by providing her cloths.”

The weaver took out the bright silk cloth he was carrying with him and stitching kit. He then deftly stitched a beautiful choli and made a full-length saree out of the silk cloths. The carpenter then made the statue dress with attractive choli and saree. The weaver then threw a gaze on the dressed up to statue and said with a sense of satisfaction “Ah, now she is looking wonderful.”

The weaver’s turn also passed. He then awoke the jeweller to shoulder the responsibility of night watch and himself went to sleep.

The jeweler rose up and amazed to find a superbly dressed beautiful young woman’s statue against the tree trunk. “What a charming young woman! But her beauty is not adorned. A beautiful woman without any jewellery looks unpraised. The different jewellery on the part of woman’s body speaks about the beauty of that particular part, ”thought the jeweler.
“I must provide the jewelleries to beautiful statue,” determined the jeweller. The jeweller carved exclusively designed jewelleries and adorned the statue thus enhancing the beauty further.

Satisfied with his contribution jeweller went to sleep. Now it was the turn of the bangleseller to keep a vigil. The bangleseller awoke, he was feeling fresh. He looked around so that he could keep himself engaged. Suddenly he eyed up on the statue. “wow, what a charm! She looking like a goddess. Her beautiful, loving face, her silk dressing up and exquisite jewellery. She is wearing all are marvelous. Instead she lacks one thing. Her wrist is without any glass Bangles, her forehead is without any kumkum and around her neck there is no mangalsutra” said the bangleseller to himself “I must provide her with these things to couple her feature.”

The bangleseller immediately took out the glass bangles and slipped those on her both the wrists. He then skin of his finger with a sharp blade and provided vermilion with this on her forehead of the statue. The bangleseller made a mangalsutra and tied around the neck of the young woman. After completing his work, he had a tough look and exclaimed now she is complete

The bangleseller then awake Brahmin their last companion and went to sleep. The Brahmin awake and saw that it was early dawn .He decided to take bath in nearly pool and went away. After some time he returned there fresh chanting mantra. When he reached near the tree his eyes dazzled to see the statue of extraordinary beautiful young woman. The Brahmin felt a tinge of sadness in his heart, “This superb beauty and piece of womanhood should not remain lifeless,” he whispered I must use my deep ancient knowledge to bring her to life.” The Brahmin took little water in his palm with his closed eyes he chattered some mantra and sprinkling water on the woman statue. He repeated his action again and again with much ferovour. So was the spiritual power of mantras that wind began blowing strongly the birds become mysteriously quiet and the sky began displaying lightning. And then a sudden thunder and the wodden statue of woman gained the life. Ah! She looked like an angel landing just from the heaven.

The Brahmin was startled to see her beauty. The other friends too awoke with the thundering sound and spell bound to see their creation active. Such was the charm on woman’s face that all of them were finding hard to remove their gaze from her face. A sudden thought came in every one’s mind, ”I wish she could be my life partner!”

Their common wish did not remain secret for long and soon they were included in alteration.

The carpenter was all too confident for his claim, Since he was the one who created the status first. He came forward and addressed, ”Listen! There is no need of feud in this matter. It’s plain and simple. Since she is the out come of my brain and figured by me give every right to make her my bride."

Listening this the weaver laughed aloud and he remarked, “Of course you are creator, but a man does not leave his wife undressed, in a state of dishonour. A husband must protect his wife’s honour. Since I offered dress to your naked creation, I am the rightful claimant to set her as my wife.”

Hearing the weaver the jeweller taunted sarcastically, ”Rightful claimant hooh! A woman is very very fond of jewelleries and a person who can provide her with this luxury should be rightfully her husband. Since I had adorned her with the jewelleries, I claim to become her husband.”

The bangle seller who till the time was listening, said, ”Don’t you think that she should be rightfully my wife, since I have put on bangles around her unadorned wriest, applied vermilion mark on her forehead and tied mangal-sutra around her neck?"

Thwarting all the claims made by the different friends, the Brahmin a roared angrily, “How silly you are? Whatever you people did, you did to a lifeless sculpture. Could you claim to merry a lifeless wooden status? Now, you couldn’t! It’s me who bring life to the status. And now when she in a women with flesh and blood, I’m the only one who can claim to become her husband.” Spoke the Brahmin in finalizing tone.

Sitting at some distance the women was listening to their argument with a pleasant smile. She did not say any thing nor she intervened between their fend.

Nevertheless, the Brahmin put his claim strongly, none of the other four was ready to give up their claim. After arguments and heated exchanges, a five came when it seemed that soon they would indulge themselves in abusing each other physically. Seeing the deteriorating condition, the carpenter suggested to pray to God Brahma to intervene.

Everyone agreed and they all began praying to God Brahma. Listening to their intense call, God Brahma appeared there All the friends bowed in front of Lord Brahma. The God asked, ”why did you call me? What’s the fend?”

The friends apprised him of their problem and of their claims. The God smiled. He sat on a rock table and then called the young woman. The God asked her to sit beside her. God Brahma instructed all the friends to sit in front of him. When everyone took their position, the God asked to the carpenter, ”So you are the person who carved the status, right!” “Yes, my lord!” replied the carpenter with folded hands.

“It means you are the woman’s creator. Now tell me how a creator is related to its creation?” “Father and child relation is between then, Lord!” replied the carpenter with bowed head.

God Brahma infered, so you are father of this young woman. Convinced with the statement, the carpenter accepted God’s version.

The God then turned to the weaver and said, ”you provided the young woman’s statue sari and choli. It means you protected her honour and saved her virtue. “ “Yes, indeed, my lord!” replied the weaver.

The God asked, ”Now tell me who protects the honour and saves the virtue of a young woman?” “A brother, my lord!” replied the weaver calmly.

“So you are the brother of this young woman,” verdicted the God. The weaver accepted the God’s verdict calmly.

The God then addressed the jeweller. “Tell me whose duty is to provide jewelleries to a bride?” “It’s the duty of bride’s maternal where uncle to provide jewelleries”, replied the jeweller.
“Since you have given the young woman jewelleries, you should be considered as her maternal uncle,” the God Brahma concluded.

The God then asked to the bangle seller to describe his contribution. The bangleseller to replied, “O kind lord, when I saw the statue, it was the statue of a young virgin woman. Since I felt it incomplete, I adorned her with glass bangles, mangle-sutra and vermilion on her forehead. By doing so I converted her from young virgin woman to a married woman.”
The Brahmin who listening to the god’s analysis since long guessed the final verdict so he intervened, “My lord, please consider one thing whatever they did, they did to a object. I was the person who sprinkled life in her.”

The god smiled and said, “O learned Brahmin. Keep your pause maintained. Since you have interrupted tell me what exactly you did to make her alive?”

“The power generated through my deep intricate knowledge and infilerated it in to her lifeless body which brought he to life,” replied the Brahmin.

“Who uses the power of knowledge and whom he gives?” asked the god.

A Guru A teacher changes the life of his student with the power of his knowledge, ”replied the Brahmin with his bowed head.

God Brahma concluded finally “Now with my question and analysis it’s been clear to you what position you acquire in relation with this pretty young woman. Since the bangle seller provided the virgin young woman with status of a married woman he is her rightful husband.”

Every one was convinced with the god’s decision and accepted that happily. All the four friends blessed bangle seller and the young woman for happy married life.

Long – long ago in a large
comfortable house of London, there lived Mr. & Mrs. Darling and their three
children Wendy, John and Michael. Nana, their pet dog would take care and
remain watchful when the children would sleep in their nursery.

The favourite time of Darling children was
bedtime when their mother would tell them nice stories and the children loved
to her those. Nana would also hear the stories quite attentively and enjoyed
those.

Darling children, there was yet another one who eagerly awaited for this time.
He was Peter Pan, a boy from alien land. Every night Peter Pan would fly up to
the nursery window and hiding there he listening the stories quietly. Often
Peter Pan would dream to have a mother who could tell him story like their.

night when the stories were over the mother went away in her bed room leaving
the children sleeping peaceful in their nursery, Peter Pan curiously entered
through window with Tinker Bell, a tiny fairy had also accompanied him. After
having a quiet look nursery Peter Pan and Tinker Bell jumped out of nursery
through window. The watchful dog Nana leaped after Peter Pan. When saw him
jumping out of the window he would caught hold of Peter Pan’s shadow. Nana rippled it off Peter Pan and left it in
the nursery.

Pan was seperated from his shadow, so to get it back, he entered the nursery
with tinker bell. Peter Pan was contious so the children should not be
disturbed but not tinker. The tiny fairy was flying all over the nursery with
noisy buzzing sound in search of the shadow. Before Peter Pan would caution
her, windy awoke with the unusual sound. She looked at Peter Pan in amazement
and exclaimed, ”who are you and what are you doing here?”

place.

Peter Pan told windy that he was from an alien land which named Never never
land and with his lived lost boys who had fled from their houses in search of
adventures. Peter Pan apprised Wendy about his love for bedtime story and also
that he was regular listener of their night stories. Peter Pan expressed his long

in a far off village there lived a polter family. The family comprised the
young polter, his wife, their small son and the old mother of the polter.

Though the
family was small and hardly had any substantial problem, it would often see
feud between the polter’s young wife and old mother on peltry issues. The
polter’s wife always insisted with her husband to make separate arrangement for
his old mother. However, the polter was not convinced with his wife. The polter
would say to his wife, “Mother is old and alone. How can she live in separate
house? Life long she worked hard to look after the family and cared for each of
my requirement when I was small. Now when I’m grown up, It’s my duty to give
her comfort. Being my wife you too should co-operate and take care of her.”

But the
self-centered wife had hardly any impact of these wise words, rather she
argued, “What difference it would make if she stays in a different hut adjacent
to ours. I am ready to prepare food for her, which she can collect from here
every morning and evening. I’ll even take care of her if she stays separately.
But I don’t want her and her intrusion here in my family. Beside this, our
growing child requires a lot of attention and if we keep on staying amidst such
unpeace that will not be healthy for him as well.”

The husband and
wife’s quarrel often ended without any conclusion. The polter was not ready to
separate his old mother and his wife was hell bent to throw the mother out of
her house.

After day’s hard
work when the polter would return home, the quarrel and heated argument between
the two women welcomed him everyday. Day be day the family unpeace was
aggravating. Fade up of the entire quarrel, the polter decided to build
separate hut for his mother to avoid more ugly sense.

At some distance away from his house he built a small hut
for his old mother. He shifted his mother’s bed and clothes there. Beside this
he placed two pots, one for water and other for her food.

Every morning
and evening when the food was cooked, the old woman would turn up to her
daughter in law with the food pot in her hand. The polter’s wife would fill the
pot with the cooked food. The old woman then quietly returned to her hut.

The polter’s
wife was happy and content with the new arrangement but not her little son
Gopal. He was quite quizzed and pieced with the whole affair. The child was
quite attached to his grandma and now when she was not living with him, he was
filling lovely and hurt. Everyday he would see his Grandmother coming to his
place to collect food and then quietly going away. Gopal tried to enquire with
his father, the reason for such shift. But the polter evaded his son’s question
considering him small to explain the complexities of the relations.

Small Gopal
could not get answer for his quires but his mind was in unrest. He would often
sneak out of his house and reach the Grandma’s hut. The old lady rejoiced to
see her grandson. She loved him and told interesting stories. It went like this
for some time. Gradually Gopal began accepting the new arrangement. probably he
consoled his heart with the reasoning that all and every mothers are separated
by their grown up sons when they have their own family.

One day the
polter was away on some business. Small Gopal who was playing in the courtyard
noticed pot wheel unattended. Everyday he would see his father making beautiful
pots on the wheel. So to try one, he went there and began making a pot with his
small hands.

Meanwhile, the
polter’s wife stepped out in the courtyard angel saw her son building a pot.
She was happily surprised on her young son’s deftness. “Brilliant!” she
murmured, “ He will certainly bring laurel for the family one day.”

The overwhelmed
mother went to her son and sat beside him. She them patted him affectionately
and asked softly, “For whom are you making pot, my sweetheart!”

“For you, Mom!”
reply came at once from the son.

The mother was
all too glad to hear this. “Really!” cried the overjoyed mother, “O my darling,
How much you love your mother!”

Gopal said,
“Now, I am making this pot for you because you’ll require it when I’ll grow up
and get married. That time you’ll have to stay separately and you’ll come with
this pot to ask food from my wife.”

The mother was
stunned to hear her little one’s innocent explanation. All her joy evaporated.
She held her head with both of her hands and exclaimed, “What I did? I dug up
the pit for my own grave! I corrupted my little one’s mind with the wrong way
of thinking.” The tears rolled down from the eyes of the polter’s wife. The
tears of regret wiped out all the malign against her mother in law. Her heart
was broadened and pure now.

She got up and
rushed to the old woman’s nut. The mother in law was sitting out in front of
her nut. The polter’s wife slowly went there and bowed on her feet. She said,
“Mother, Please forgive me for all my past misdeeds. I was unwise. In my
ignorance, I hurt you many times. But, now I’m aware of my follies and so I
promise you to take a good care of you. Please come back to your house,
mother.”

The woman’s
voice was choked with emotion. The old woman rose her up and hugged
passionately. The mother and daughter in laws then returned home to live
together happily thereafter.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.
The crocodile begged the boy for help. Looking at his nervousness it promised not to devour him as a token of gratitude for saving it. The boy had hardly cut open the net - the crocodile grabbed his leg. The boy cried out in anguish, “This is not fair. You can't do this to me for saving you from the hunter,

that too after you promised you won't.” The crocodile calmly stated, “In life, such is the way.” The boy asked the crow to help but ironically the crow agreed with the crocodile, “Right in front of my eyes the serpent devours our chicks and I helplessly watch it, for in life, such is the way.” The monkey and the parrot too agreed with the crocodile. Finally, a rabbit came forward and instigated the ego of the crocodile. “Utter nonsense. There is no such stupid philosophy.” Hearing this, the ego-involved crocodile opened its jaws to have a loud-enough argument with the rabbit. The boy escaped from the jaws of the crocodile. Having heard the cries of the boy, the villagers and the boy's pet dog arrived at the river bank. The villagers began to beat the crocodile to death. The dog spotted the rabbit and started chasing it. The boy screamed at the dog, “Hey, listen! This rabbit saved my life. Do not attack him.” But the dog had chased and killed the rabbit in a jiffy! Hurt and bleeding, as the boy walked back to his village, he felt, “The crocodile was almost saved, but it eventually died. I was almost dead, but was eventually saved. The rabbit need not have been in the scene at all, but for all the good it did; now it is no more. The crocodile was right. In life, such is the way.”

Cooperating with the inevitable is not a defeatist outlook, as it may seem. Giving into the philosophy, “In life, such is the way,” isn't about a fatalistic attitude to life. But how long will you bang against the wall, when in reality you are going to bleed, but the wall will never open up for you? How long will you curse your luck and wait under a mango tree expecting oranges, when in reality you may drop dead, but not a single orange will drop from the mango tree? In fighting the inevitable, you will lose all your energy and will. Now, when you eventually find the door, you won't have the energy to take the exit. Now, when you eventually reach the orange tree, you will be too tired to relish it. Genius is in knowing, when to let go 'what can't be'. In letting that go, you are ready to embrace 'what can be'. Either you will save your energy by gleefully cooperating with the inevitable, for in life, such is the way. Or, you will drain your energy by miserably and helplessly cooperating with the inevitable, for again, in life such is the way. What is, is! What isn't, isn't!
No one had ever imagined that the world's best stricker could miss that one; but he missed it completely.
Yes I am talking about Andy Henry Stevens, who is the world's best striker but he was not the same, before he had met Hanna in High school. He was a very ordinary boy with nothing special but after he met her, he became very special with huge talents cropped out now. But last night he had a quarrel with her, and the worst had happened to him, the most unimaginable... she left him... which broke him complelely. Everyone was disappointed by him, even he himself was disappointed with himself.
Coach Mr.Henry called Andy to his cabin " You are the best dear, You are the best... What's wrong with you, dear???" Mr.Henry asked in a very soft voice. Andy couldn't react and there was a complete silence in the room. Andy spoke in the midst of painful sobs, trying to let out all his pain,"I was the best... I was best dad... I never expected this from her. Just because I refused her for the first time in last 8years, she left me. How can she leave me all alone after being so long? How much I've changed for her..." Mr.Henry understood what was wrong with his son; but he needed his player back so a coach took over from a father, he gave him a notepad and a pen and said ,"Write what you feel, write each and every moment of your relationship. I'll be joining you in an hour." and he left him alone in the silence of that room. For a few minutes he could not stop his tears to roll down his face, but he picked the pen and started writing from the first day they met in the canteen and how from that day they had there lunch together, always. How they became best friend. The summer vacations they had spend together, the assignments they did with each other. How they whispered in the classes sitting next to each other even in front of the teachers.
He wrote word by word, line by line, para by para... He had written almost each and every moment that he had preserved in his heart. He poured out all the memories of what he has, and what Hanna had made him. He knew he could never repay her by any means. He decided to move ahead with her memories only. Before leaving the cabin he left a note for his coach
"I'll win the cup for her..."
                                      Andy
And he made the come back like a star player. In his next match with Germany he alone scored 7 goals and he didn't stop here, he had won the cup for her. He didn't look back from that day, with some sweet and sour memories of Hanna he moved forward in his life.
