Here are a couple of membership softwares you might be keen on:

aMember Pro: they mean business. Going at $179.95 per site license, plugins functionality, multiple payments supported. Goes way back to 2003.

MemberGate: all-in-one, good for HUGE membership sites. A whopping $3,995 for basic to $29,995 for full-features. The oldest - since 2000.

Member-Wing: very military sounding name. Going at $79.95 for basics to $195 for full functionality. Since 2008.

WP Wishlist: I wonder why it’s a “wishlist” and not a “membership software”. $97 for single-site to $297 for multi-sites. Since 2008.

There are probably a couple of others more. I personally recommend aMember after looking at the others, because it is flexible, does the job (whether you sell products or subscriptions) and kind to your pockets.

I recently received an email from one of the “big boys” in Internet Marketing, recommending the product of yet another “big boy”. But… he got the name spelt wrong.

Ewen Chia became Ewen Chai.

Promoting the services of another person, whom you say you would entrust the world to, but dunno how to spell his name. That series of emails came, name after name, all in wrong spelling. Surely someone corrected him. I know I did.

It makes me feel like the JV is just another money thing. Do they even try the products before they promote them? Do they even know the person who is cutting them a commission?

Caveat Emptor, my friends.

There’s no such word as abating. Only abatement, abated, abate.

And it means diminishing… fading.

No wait!

Google says in the first entry (the first search result):

But Google/TFD says in the second entry (from the Google search results):

abatement - the act of abating

Although there isn’t an entry for “abating”, I guess, it’s still a valid word…

When our earth became smaller from improved speed in communications, email at half the speed of light (that’s still… very fast, by the way), made telecommunications cheaper (there’s still some lag in data transfer), video conferencing (wow, it’s like you’re there in person), instant messaging (very, very popular!)… Suddenly, it ain’t so cool to be reading newspapers or watching the 9 o’clock news anymore…

Zillions of data packets ricocheting here and there, everywhere… where art thou?

Nepalese finally got themselves the internet.

More than 10,000 business ideas are implemented every day.

Gmail offers more than 7GB of email storage.

No BS Launch Pad awoke after a long rest.

If the internet made a sound… I’d say, this blog is whirring back to life… a unique happening in my corner of the world.

Billions of Dollars exchange hands every day.

Uniquely, at every corner of the earth, there is something happening. Something unique, something light, something heavy, something small, something big. Something you love, or something you regret.

It’s recession period, but our planet seems to be as roaring as ever.

Where’s the indication of roar?

It’s in the news, in the stock market, in the people we meet…

Media has always been the mainstay of our lives, we move at the speed of it. The day it sped up, the day we started growing exponentially.

What am I referring to?

You don’t cut corners on these expenses. And if I may add, it’s ridiculous to even consider the last point - cutting salaries of your staff.

WHY NOT?
In doing so, it may be very “logical” to reduce expenses, but at the same time, you are also decreasing productivity and efficiency!

Productivity and efficiency = how fast you get to your results or desired outcome.

Why would you want to do that and move like a slow mo??

What costs should you decrease?
Costs like, delayed shipping or lost shipment, firing a non-contributing staff or one that slows down the productivity of others!

In fact, pay MORE just so that you can get your shipments to the destination ON TIME, ON TARGET (geographically).

Pay MORE just so that you can hire more productive and contributing staff.

Pay MORE to get the results you want. Cut down on the unnecessary expenses that slow down your business or eat into your productivity!

Are you cutting your corners right?

Here are some of them.

Jay Abraham

1. You increase the number of customers.
2. You increase the average transaction value.
3. You increase the number of times the customers buy per year.

Mark Joyner

1. Get your message in front of more eyeballs.
2. Get more money per eyeball.
3. Sell more products to your customers on the back end.

Generally speaking, in my own words…

1. Increase revenue
2. Decrease expenses
3. Increase efficiency

Another way of saying it…

1. Increase revenue - more customers, increase selling price
2. Decrease expenses - NOT cut down on costs, but reduce unnecessary costs (more on that in my next post)
3. Increase efficiency - sell more, maintaining the same no. of staff
